Des experts se sont réunis à partir de 2007 pour établir le contenu des consultations aux âges clés. Outre l’examen somatique de l’enfant, il comprend le dépistage des troubles alimentaires, ...sphinctériens, sensoriels (vision et audition) et des troubles d’apprentissage (langage oral à 4 ans, pré requis du langage écrit et troubles praxiques en fin de grande section (GS) et lecture calcul écriture en fin de CP), avec des outils validés. Un questionnaire parental a été élaboré pour aider à ces dépistages tout particulièrement ceux d’ordre psychologique.
L’étude avait pour but essentiel d’évaluer la faisabilité de tels examens en pratique de ville et de proposer ensuite un protocole de passation avec une mallette contenant tous les tests nécessaires. Ainsi, 15 pédiatres et 15 médecins généralistes de chaque région ont été formés puis ont inclus trois enfants de chaque tranche d’âge (4 ans, fin de grande section, fin de CP). 420 consultations ont ainsi été réalisées (147 à 4 ans, 140 en fin de GS, 132 en fin de CP. 66,7 % ont trouvé la faisabilité pas évidente ou difficile, surtout du fait de la durée (1 heure en moyenne, allant de 45 minutes à plus de 2 heures pour une consultation « extrême »).
Pour tenir compte de ces critiques et des capacités d’attention des enfants, un nouveau protocole sera élaboré, pour que les consultations ne durent pas plus de 30 minutes, soit de façon systématique (en fin de GS) soit uniquement lorsque des difficultés ont été soulevées lors de la première consultation (à 4 ans et en fin de CP).
We present determinations of the total to selective extinction ratio R sub(v) and visual extinction A sub(v) values for Milky Way stars using ultraviolet color excesses. We extend the analysis of ...Gnacinski and Sikorski (1999) by using non-equal weights derived from observational errors. We present a detailed discussion of various statistical errors. In addition, we estimate the level of systematic errors by considering different normalization of the extinction curve adopted by Wegner (2002). Our catalog of 782 R sub(v) and A sub(v) values and their errors is available in the electronic form on the World Wide Web.
The authors review the present situation in epidemiology and prevention of arterial hypertension in Poland. In 2002, the
NATPOL PLUS survey on representative sample of adults (n=3051, age range ...18-93) was conducted. Prevalence of
hypertension, diagnosed on basis of three separate visits, was 29%, awareness 67% and efficacy of treatment 12.5%. Thus,
in Poland, one-third of 8.6 million hypertensives are unaware of their disease. A comparison with data from other countries
should be careful due to the different methods (age range, number of readings and visits) used in the studies. The data, in
concert with a decrease in awareness of ones own blood pressure (from 71% in 1994 to 59% in 2002), called for urgent
preventive measures. Two large interventions were implemented under the National Programme POLKARD in 2003: the
Polish 400 Cities Project aimed to increase detection and knowledge of hypertension and other risk factors among small-town
and village communities, and the educational project, A Chance for the Young Heart targeted at children aged 11-14 years
and using traditional teaching methods and an interactive Internet website. Also, an educational and marketing programme
targeted at public opinion leaders and decision makers (trade unions, local governments, healthcare financing authorities,
print media and radio, the Polish Parliament) started in 1999 and is still in process.

We present UBV photometry of the eclipsing binary Harvard Variable 2274 in the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC). The stellar parameters of this binary system were recently calculated by Guinan et al., ...who gave both a reddening toward HV 2274 of E(B-V) = 0.083 {+-} 0.006 and a distance modulus to the LMC of {mu}{sub LMC} =18.42{+-}0.07. The reddening of this system was also determined by Udalski et al., who found E(B-V) = 0.149 {+-} 0.015. With Udalski et al. B and V photometry, Guinan et al. obtained E(B-V) = 0.12 {+-} 0.009 and {mu}{sub LMC} =18.30{+-}0.07. Using our UBV photometry, we derive a reddening of E(B-V) 0.088 {+-} 0.023, consistent with the original value of Guinan et al. and supporting a longer distance modulus to the LMC of about {mu}{sub LMC} =18.40{+-}0.07. We stress the uncertainties inherent in ground-based UBV photometry and the concomitant uncertainties in determining distances based upon such photometry. (c) (c) 2000. We have detected seven stars with a common proper motion that are located within 25 of the globular cluster NGC 6522 in the Baade's window field of the Galactic bulge. We argue that these stars are ...members of the cluster, and derive a weighted mean proper motion and heliocentric radial velocity. We rederive the distance to NGC 6522, making use of recent revisions in the foreground extinction toward the cluster. We find the spatial velocity of the cluster and conclude that the cluster stays close to the Galactic center and may have experienced significant bulge/disk shocking during its lifetime. (Author)
