Herein, the effectiveness of locally sourced and autoclaved nylon mosquito net mesh for the repair of external abdominal hernias was investigated. Eleven animals (7 cattle and 4 buffaloes) having ...hernial ring sizes of 8 to 30 cm in diameter were divided into two Groups 1 (5 animals) and Group 2 (6 animals). In Group 1, nylon mosquito net mesh was used, and in Group 2, polypropylene mesh was used for the repair of defects. The animals were sedated with xylazine HCl and given local anaesthesia during surgery. Over the external hernial sac, an elliptical skin incision was made. The internal hernial sac was bluntly dissected and freed down to the hernial ring. The internal hernial sac was opened, and the hernial ring was repaired with nylon mosquito net mesh or polypropylene mesh using the inlay technique. After hernioplasty, the sac and subcutaneous tissue were repaired with prolene suture material. The skin incision was closed with simple interrupted mattress sutures using monofilament polyamide suture material. Antibiotics and analgesics were given postoperatively, and povidone iodine was used to treat the suture line daily. The skin sutures were removed on the 10th to 15th postoperative day, depending upon the wound condition. Mild inflammatory swelling in Group 1 was observed at the incision line, which had completely subsided by the 15th postoperative day. The wounds healed by first intention in both groups. In any case, no recurrence was seen in a follow-up period of 3 months. Without clinical signs of wound dehiscence, infection, or recurrence, all animals recovered uneventfully.

Neural networks have become a very popular tool in diagnosing breast cancer and classifying cancer datasets. Artificial neural networks are a field of artificial intelligence and are widely used as new technologies in the field of computer science.We have used neural networks to find out the tumor is Benign or Malignant. The input are just a bunch of measurement and features of tumor. Some of these parameters include measurement of the nuclei of cells in the tumors.
Objectives: The Coronary Revascularisation Outcome Questionnaire (CROQ) is a patient reported outcome measure. It is used to measure health related outcomes from the patient’s perspective before and ...after coronary revascularisation procedures (PTCA and CABG). This study involved the translation and validation of the Coronary Revascularisation Outcome Questionnaire into Hindi language (CROQ-H). Methodology: The English version of the CROQ was translated into Hindi version; some terms were revised to, adjust for the sociocultural status of the Indian environment. Ten patients completed the questionnaire in a pilot to check for comprehension and, face validity. In the field study, subjects were recruited from Geetanjali Cardiac Centre (GCC), Geetanjali Medical College & Hospital, Geetanjali University, Udaipur, India. Questionnaires were self-administered. Analysis included acceptability, reliability (internal consistency and test–retest), validity (factor analysis, known-groups and responsiveness testing. Results: A total of 470 patients gave informed consent to participate and 391(83%) of these participated in field study. All versions were met pre-specified criteria; (1) acceptability of items (low missing data)); (2) reliability: internal consistency (Cronbach’s α > 0.70, item total correlations >0.30) and test–retest reliability (intra-class correlation coefficients > 0.70); (3) construct validity based on within-scale analyses (internal consistency (Cronbach’s α >0.70).
In this paper, Discrete-wavelet transform (DWT) based algorithm are used for speech signal denoising. Here both hard and soft thresholding are used for denoising. Analysis is done on noisy speech ...signal corrupted by babble noise at 0dB, 5dB, 10dB and 15dB SNR levels. Simulation & results are performed in MATLAB 7.10.0 (R2010a). Output SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio) and MSE (Mean Square Error) is calculated & compared using both types of thresholding methods. Soft thresholding method performs better than hard thresholding at all input SNR levels. Hard thresholding shows a maximum of 21.79 dB improvement whereas soft thresholding shows a maximum of 35.16 dB improvement in output SNR.

Giving ...your plant too much water is the biggest issue nowadays. Each species of plant has its own watering requirement and giving the plant too much water can spell disaster. Overwatering severely damage plant and could lead to their overall decline. A dry surface is not always a sign of water need. Your plant is wilting but it looks like it has plenty of water. Disorders like Edema could lead to the building of blister-like areas by absorbing water quickly and can cause the death of the plant. Not only it affects the internal organs of the plant but also it sets the leaves to yellowish color. Also, causes root rot, growths of fungus, Mildew, and other harmful weeds. So, there must be a system which can auto control the level of watering with the help of the timer. Also, examine the surrounding soil whether it needs more water or not. The built-in timer will be set by the operator who will decide that for how long the water regulation is to be performed. Moreover, this mechanism could also be handled wirelessly through our portable smartphones which help the plant with an adequate supply of water as per the user need and the soil requirements.
