The results of studies of the effect of solution acidity on the growth kinetics, structure and magnetic properties of Co-P films obtained by chemical deposition are presented. It was shown that the ...growth of Co-P films in the low pH region occurs mainly due to the growth of crystallite sizes, and in the high pH region, due to an increase in the nucleation rate. From the analysis of the chemical equilibrium of redox reactions, taking into account the balance of citrate and hydroxyl complexes of Co, a qualitative explanation of the features of the change in the rate and nature of the deposition of Co atoms from pH is proposed.
•Mobility in highly doped junctionless trigate MOSFETs is experimentally studied.•Mobility enhancement in narrow nanowire versus wide devices is demonstrated.•Mobility values in narrow nanowire ...MOSFETs exceed the bulk mobility value.•These effects are due to reduced impurity scattering in narrow nanowire devices.
This paper presents experimental results on the effective electron mobility in heavily doped tri-gate nanowire junctionless SOI MOSFETs with various nanowire widths. Significant enhancement of the electron mobility in narrow nanowire devices, as compared to counterpart planar (wide) devices, having the same film thickness and doping, and as compared to the bulk silicon mobility with the same doping is demonstrated. This effect is attributed to the reduced impurity scattering in narrow nanowire devices. The obtained results are seen to be very important as low carrier mobility due to high doping was previously assumed to be the fundamental limitation of junctionless nanowire devices.
The features of the magnetic state of an array of parallel oriented permalloy ribbons are discussed. The arrays are made by explosive lithography. The ribbons have a thickness of 180 nm, a width of ...2.8 µm, and a length of about 4 mm. The distance between ribbons in different samples varies in the range from 300 nm to 4 μm. It is found that the ribbons in the regions far from the end faces are in a single-domain state with small-angle ripples, the magnetization distribution of which correlates with inhomogeneities of the ribbon side surfaces. Moreover, there is a distinct relationship in the spatial distribution of the ripples between adjacent ribbons with a relatively small distance between them. This makes it possible to evaluate the role of the magnetostatic coupling of magnetic subsystems of array elements and to estimate the characteristic value of the random stray field that pins the magnetization.

. An experimental investigation of the ferromagnetic resonance in a two-dimensional array of particles qualitatively supports the calculation results.
The problem of the frequency spectrum of collective gyrotropic modes in a finite linear chain of magnetostatically interacting ferromagnetic disks has been considered. It has been shown that by ...analyzing the frequency spectrum, one can derive information about the magnetization eddy state for each of the nanodisks in the chain. The feasibility of recording the frequency spectrum as a tool for data readout in magnetic memory devices has been discussed.

buffer layer deposited by ion-plasma sputtering has been experimentally investigated. The dependences of the magnetic properties of cobalt on ...the rate of its deposition by ion-plasma sputtering and rate of deposition of preceding layers have been established. It is shown that the technique used to obtain buffer layers can significantly reduce the surface roughness of the next layers. The obtained buffer layers can be used as artificial substrates for growing heterostructures with tunnel junctions.
The contribution of magnetoelastic effects to the effective magnetic anisotropy of a three-layer film nanodisk (nonmagnetic metal/ferromagnet/nonmagnetic metal) was studied. The mechanical stresses ...at the lateral surface of the disk that are caused by two factors, i.e., unequal thermal expansion of layers and excess surface energy at the layers interfaces, were estimated. The case in which the contribution of magnetoelastic effects to the anisotropy is comparable with those of shape and crystalline anisotropies was discussed. It was shown that the main reason for the change in the local anisotropy field in the vicinity of a nanodisk edge was the mechanical stresses induced by the excess surface energy. The possible application of film nanodisks of nickel with a bilateral golden coating as “nanolancets” for noninvasive cell surgery of tumors was discussed.

film coating has been considered. The coating is suitable for various applications, in particular as a coating for self-cleaning glass, ...photocatalytic sterilization for medical and microbiological purposes, solar energy, and automotive and construction industries. Advantages of this method are its low cost and the possibility of coating large surfaces. The processes of extraction of titanium(IV), application of films of organic extracts to substrates, and pyrolytic treatment of precursors have been described. The phase composition and microstructure of the coatings obtained have been studied. It has been shown that the application of solutions of organic extracts to glass and metal substrates contributes to the formation of nanostructured continuous films, which possess photocatalytic activity.

The antitumor effect of the magnetic ...nickel gold-coated nanodisks and DNA aptamer conjugates was evaluated in vivo and in vitro. Under the influence of rotating magnetic field, the studied nanodisks can cause the death of Ehrlich ascites carcinoma cells.
