Dalam dunia pendidikan saat ini, website sekolah merupakan suatu alat yang sangat penting dalam memberikan segala informasi kepada masyarakat seperti profil sekolah, prestasi, kegiatan akademik, ...alumni dan sebagainya. Objek penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah Sekolah Menengah Atas berbasis Islam Al Irsyad yang berada di Surabaya, dimana telah memiliki website namun belum maksimal dalam penggunaannya sehari-hari karena jumlah pengunjung masih sedikit, tampilan dan fungsi-fungsi fitur dalam website kurang dapat dipahami pengguna. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian usability testing terlihat bahwa dua indikator yakni learnability dan memorability memiliki nilai yang rendah. Oleh sebab itu, tujuan studi ini adalah perancangan ulang desain website sekolah agar mudah diingat dan digunakan pengguna. Metode yang digunakan adalah User Centered Design karena selalu mengikutsertakan penggunanya dalam proses perancangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan total rata-rata keseluruhan indikator usability adalah 3.37, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa redesign website sekolah yang diuji berada pada rentang sangat baik, untuk indikator learnability dan memorability sendiri terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan. Kontribusi utama penelitian ini adalah penggunaan usability testing menjadi langkah awal evaluasi kegunaan website untuk meningkatkan antarmuka pengguna.
Abundantly available SiO2 (silica) has great potential as an anode material for lithium-ion batteries because it is inexpensive and flexible. However, silicon oxide-based anode material preparation ...usually requires many complex steps. In this article, we report a facile method for preparing a SiO2/C composite derived from coal combustion fly ash as an anode material for Li-ion batteries. SiO2 was obtained by caustic extraction and HCl precipitation. Then, the SiO2/C composite was successfully obtained by mechanical milling followed by heat treatment. The samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Electrochemical properties were tested using an 18650 cylindrical cell utilizing LiNi0.8Co0.15Al0.05O2 (NCA) as the counter electrode. Based on the obtained results, the physiochemical characteristics and electrochemical performance, it was determined that SiO2/C composites were greatly affected by the temperature of heat treatment. The best result was obtained with the SiO2 content of 10% w/w, heating temperature of 500 °C, initial specific discharge capacity of 586 mAh g−1 at 0.1 C (1 C = 378 mAh g−1), and reversible capacity of 87% after 20 cycles. These results confirmed that the obtained materials had good initial discharge capacity, cyclability, high performance, and exhibited great potential as an anode material for LIBs.

This delay occurred because of the delay in sending raw materials, so the company has to wait until the ordered items arrive. This problem is being more complicated by the differences in parameters for each supplier such as price differences and lead time of arrival. Therefore, the company must determine the optimum scheduling and safety time by minimizing inventory costs as a result of Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP) being used in resolving these problems.
Copper (Cu) is an essential trace metal needed to ensure cell function. However, when present at high concentrations it becomes toxic to organisms. Cell death, induced by toxic levels of copper, was ...previously observed in in vitro studies. However, there is no consensus about the cell death pathway induced by Cu and it is still not known whether this occurs as a result of the direct action of the metal or by indirect effects. In the present work, we intend to identify the influence of different Cu concentrations in the induction of apoptosis and to explore the potential signaling pathways, using two different in vitro cell culture models (Caco-2 and Hep-G2). Cells were exposed, during 6, 12, 24 and 48h, to Cu concentrations corresponding to IC50 and 1/8 of IC50, according to the viability assays. Then, considering the different apoptosis pathways, the expression of caspases 3, 8 and 9, apoptosis inducing factor (AIF) and p53 genes was analyzed by quantitative real time PCR. The results suggested that different Cu concentrations could trigger different apoptotic pathways, at different times of exposure. In both cell lines, apoptosis seems to be initiated by caspase independent pathway and intrinsic pathway, followed by extrinsic pathway. In conclusion, this study demonstrates that Cu induces the activation of apoptosis through caspase dependent and independent pathways, also suggesting that apoptosis activation mechanism is dependent on the concentration, time of exposure to Cu and cell type.
Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk membandingkan akurasi prediksi algoritma C4.5 dan k-Means dalam memprediksi nilai indeks prestasi semester 1 mahasiswa FTI UKDW. Data yang digunakan adalah data ...mahasiswa FTI UKDW angkatan 2008-2016 sebagai data latih, dan angkatan 2017 sebagai data uji. Atribut yang digunakan akan dibedakan berdasarkan jalur prestasi dan non-prestasi. Jalur prestasi menggunakan atribut kategori, status, lokasi, dan level ICE, sedangkan jalur non-prestasi menggunakan atribut kategori, status, lokasi, level ICE, numerik, verbal, spasial, analogi. Akurasi akan dihitung menggunakan cross-tabulation. Algoritma C4.5 mendapatkan hasil terbaik sebesar 77,45% dan algoritma k-Means mendapatkan hasil terbaik sebesar 60,78%. Skenario dengan jalur prestasi mendapatkan hasil rata-rata akurasi sebesar 55,27% dan skenario dengan jalur non-prestasi mendapatkan hasil rata-rata akurasi sebesar 38,95%.
Background: Cancer and chemotherapy are venous thromboembolism (VTE) risk factors. The immune system and inflammation are essential in cancer-associated thrombosis's pathogenesis. Chemotherapy can ...induce inflammatory conditions that trigger the nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) signaling pathway to produce proinflammatory cytokines. Interleukin 6 (IL-6) improves procoagulant status primarily by inducing tissue factor (TF) expression. Tissue factor expression triggers the coagulation system, characterized by increased levels of D-dimer. This study assessed the change in plasma levels of IL-6 and D-dimer changed in high-risk thrombosis cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.
Methods: This study was a prospective cohort study of 54 newly diagnosed high-risk thrombosis cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy in Dr. Kariadi General Hospital from January 2021 to September 2021 based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. IL-6 and D-dimer concentrations were collected a day before and after chemotherapy. IL-6 measured by ELISA method and D-dimer measured by the turbidimetry chromogenic immunoassay method. We did correlation test, compared mean, and subgroup analysis. The p-value<0.05 was significant.
Results: There was a positive correlation between plasma levels of IL-6 and D-dimer both pre- and post-chemotherapy (r=0.36; 95% CI (0.1-0.6); p=0.006 and r=0.45; 95% CI (0.2-0.6); p=<0.001, respectively). Post-chemotherapy plasma IL-6 (61.0±84.9 pg/mL) was significantly lower (p=0.022) than pre-chemotherapy (102.4±141.6 pg/mL). Subgroup analysis based on risks of thrombosis showed a significant decrease in plasma levels of IL-6 in the higher risk cancer group of thrombosis post-chemotherapy compared with the low risk cancer group (77.7±144.1 pg/mL vs -0.9±127.8 pg/mL; p=0.037). There was an increase in D-dimer plasma levels post-chemotherapy, but it was not statistically significant (2598.1±2487.8 µg/ml vs 3098.6±3547.4 µg/ml; p=0.512). The subgroup analysis based on blood type, tumor stage, chemotherapy regimen, and risk of thrombosis showed no significant differences in delta plasma IL-6 and D-Dimer levels pre- and post-chemotherapy.
Conclusion: In high-risk thrombosis cancer patients who underwent chemotherapy, there was a statistically significant decrease in plasma levels of IL-6 post-chemotherapy. There was an increase in D-dimer plasma levels post-chemotherapy, but it was not statistically significant.
Visceral leishmaniasis (VL) has a high fatality rate if not treated; nevertheless, the majority of human infections with the causative agent, Leishmania infantum chagasi, are asymptomatic. Although ...VL patients often present with increased levels of serum immunoglobulins, the contribution of antibodies to resistance or progression to disease remains unknown. Effector and regulatory functions of antibodies rely on their interactions with type I and II Fc receptors, and these interactions are tuned by the patterns of antibody Fc N-glycosylation. In view of these facts, we applied a robust method of IgG Fc N-glycopeptide profiling of serum samples from 187 patients with VL, 177 asymptomatic individuals, 116 endemic controls (individuals residing in areas where VL is endemic) and 43 nonendemic controls (individuals living in an area where VL is not endemic). We show that, in comparison to the overall IgG Fc N-glycan profiles of asymptomatic or uninfected healthy individuals, those of patients with VL are profoundly altered. These changes correlate with levels of serum cytokines and the inflammation marker C-reactive protein. We also fitted univariate and multivariate ordinal logistic regression models to demonstrate the ability of IgG Fc N-glycosylation features and immunity regulators present in serum to predict disease severity in VL patients. Importantly, we show that Fc N-glycosylation profiles change after treatment of VL. This study introduces important concepts contributing to the understanding of antibody responses in infections with Leishmania parasites and provides new insights into the pathology of human VL.
Immunoglobulins (Ig) have been shown to present pro- and anti-inflammatory functions according to the profile of carbohydrates attached to their Fc region. Glycosylation features of serum IgG have been examined in relation to several autoimmune and infectious diseases and provide a mechanistic basis for the protective or pathogenic role of antibodies. Leishmania infantum chagasi is the causative agent of visceral leishmaniasis (VL) in South America, and we show that VL patients produce IgG with patterns of Fc glycans similar to those found in other inflammatory conditions. Specific Fc N-glycosylation features and levels of serum cytokines and C-reactive protein are significantly associated with the development of severe clinical symptoms and, notably, Fc glycosylation changes after treatment. The modifications detected in the N-glycosylation features of IgG Fc from VL patients raise new perspectives on the effector or regulatory role of antibodies in immune responses elicited by infection with Leishmania parasites.
Setiap perubahan kurikulum tentu sekolah akan mengalami kendala dalam implementasinya. Seperti dalam implementasi kurikulum 2013, sehingga perlu dilakukan monitoring dan evaluasi, terutama dalam ...proses pembuatan perangkat pembelajaran yang melibatkan guru mata pelajaran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk melakukan identifikasi terhadap implementasi kurikulum 2013 dalam pembelajaran matematika di SMA Negeri 1 Ciruas pada tahap perencanaan. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMAN 1 Ciruas. Sampel sebagai sumber informasi dalam penelitian ini adalah guru matematika kelas X, XI dan XII. Berdasarkan jenis data yang akan dikumpulkan dan sumber datanya, maka teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu teknik pengumpulan data kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini diperoleh deskripsi kualitas perencanaan pembelajaran matematika di SMAN 1 Ciruas berupa perangkat pembelajaran RPP dalam implementasi kurikulum 2013 untuk komponen identitas RPP memperoleh hasil 100%, perumusan indikator memperoleh hasil 93,5%, perumusan tujuan memperoleh hasil 73,33%, pemilihan model/metode pembelajaran memperoleh hasil 80%, pemilihan skenario pembelajaran memperoleh hasil 84%, pemilihan media memperoleh hasil 83,4%, pemilihan sumber pembelajaran memperoleh 86,6%, penilaian memperoleh hasil 71,1% dan kesesuaian desain pembelajaran dalam menumbuhkan nilai-nilai karakter siswa memperoleh 66,6%. Sebagaimana yang terdapat pada setiap komponen-komponen pada RPP yang dinalisis memperoleh hasil persentase rata-rata diatas 75% maka komponen pada RPP termasuk kategori baik, sehingga kualitas perencanaan pembelajaran matematika di SMA Negeri 1 Ciruas dalam implementasi kurikulum 2013 termasuk kategori baik
