Using the method of scanning electron microscopy, a comparative study of the morphology of the particle surface and the elemental composition of the cuticle of
Hermetia illucens
pupa before and after ...the application of a liquid culture (LC) of the probiotic strain
Lactobacillus acidophilus
B 2707 was carried out. At the same time, under the influence of the LC, destruction of relatively large particles of the powder of the chitin–protein complex of the cuticle (average particle diameter D 845.3 ± 109.1 μm) and the formation of small fragments (average D 63.4 ± 13.9 μm) occurred, including nanoparticles (average D 54 ± 18 nm). A biofilm of lactobacilli enriched with calcium, magnesium, and phosphorus was obtained on a sorbent consisting of microparticles of the cuticle of insect pupae and including nanoparticles, which provided the probiotic preparation with high biological efficiency.
Objective:
to study in an experiment on animals pathomorphological changes in the tissues of the uterus, appendages and blood vessels after ligation of the internal iliac and ovarian arteries.
...Materials and methods:
An experiment was conducted with 6 mature pigs. Group I (n=3) consisted of intact pigs without surgery, group II (n=3) included animals with ligation of the internal iliac and ovarian arteries on both sides. 12 months after the operation, slaughter was performed and the organo-complex of the uterus with appendages and iliac vessels was taken for electron microscopic pathomorphological examination.
Results:
comparative results of the study of the uterus, appendages found that the normal structure of the mature uterus was preserved,
there were no changes in the structure of the fallopian tubes, tissues and vessels of the ovaries. All changes were found in the
area of ligation of the ovarian and internal iliac arteries, although the arteries retained their lumen, but were deformed and
surrounded by dense fibrous connective tissue. Conclusion: ligation of the ovarian and internal iliac arteries with absorbable
suture material causes only local changes. The sufficiency of collateral blood flow is confirmed by the absence of atrophy of the
uterus, fallopian tubes and ovaries, as well as organ deformities.
Levodopa remains the gold standard of treating Parkinson's disease (PD). However, the inevitable complication of levodopa therapy is druginduced dyskinesias, which significantly limits the ...therapeutic capabilities of this group of drugs and requires treatment adjustment. At the same time, patients with PD show not only a wide interindividual variability in the response to levodopa treatment, but also differences in the frequency and time to onset of drug-induced dyskinesias. Therefore, genetic predisposition can play an important role in the development of complications of levodopa therapy. The paper reviews modern literature on the impact of mutations in the genes, the products of which are involved in the exchange of levodopa and are capable of provoking or, conversely, levelling the development of drug-induced dyskinesias in order to determine the possibilities of expanding the personalized approach to treating patients with PD.
Impulse control disorders (ICDs), including compulsive gambling, buying, sexual behavior, and eating, are a serious and increasingly recognized psychiatric complication in Parkinson's disease (PD). ...ICDs have been most closely related to the use of dopamine agonists (DAs), perhaps more so at higher doses. Possible predictor's for ICDs include male sex, younger age and younger age at PD onset, use of dopaminergic agents. Modifiers of ICDs are pharmacological (medication) and non-pharmacological (surgical, behavioral) treatments.

In pediatric practice, epilepsy holds one of the leading places among neurological pathologies. Along with seizures, a child's intellectual impairment lowering quality of life plays a crucial role in ...social disintegration. Cognitive impairments occuring in idiopathic generalized epilepsies (IGE) and self-limited epilepsy with centrotemporal spikes (SeLECTS) considered benign have been widely investigated. However, available data suggest that such disorders result in multiple persistent alterations in the cognitive sphere. In this case, features of the epilepsy etiopathogenesis account for disease early onset and profoundly remodeled structures involved in the implementation of cognitive functions. Current review is aimed to summarizing data regarding developmental mechanisms and range of cognitive impairment in IGE and SeLECTS.
Objective: to demonstrate the role of high field magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the diagnosis of early-stage Parkinson’s disease on a clinical case.Materials and methods. Patient S., 1962 (53 ...years), referred to the Neurological Center of Epileptology, Neurogenetic and Brain Research of University Clinic of the Krasnoyarsk State Medical University named after prof. V.F. Voyno-Yasenetskiy with of the early stages of Parkinson’s disease. The patient received the recommendation of a neurologist was not performed in connection with the doubts about the correctness of his diagnosis of the disease (diagnosed clinically). To confirm the diagnosis, the patient is recommended to carry out high field MRI of the brain according to the Protocol of neurodegenerative diseases, including images, weighted by magnetic susceptibility (SWI) and magnetic resonance spectroscopy at the level of subcortical ganglia of the cerebral hemispheres and substantia nigra of the brain stem.Results. On brain MRI in SWI mode revealed structural changes of the substantia nigra (absence of Nigrosome-1 on both sides) – early signs of MRI-negative cases of Parkinson’s disease.Conclusion. In this clinical example illustrates the role of high field MRI in the diagnosis of early-stage Parkinson’s disease. Should remain wary of doctors of primary health care (district internists, family practitioners, neurologists) regarding the debut of Parkinson’s disease even in patients younger than 50 years.

The review deals with the problem of neuropsychological disorders in Parkinson's disease (PD), one of the most common neurodegenerative diseases in the world. A global search for foreign and Russian ...investigations in this topic in 2001 to 2016 has been carried out in the scientific databases Medline and Russian science citation index. Particular emphasis is laid on emotional, cognitive, and psychotic disorders that largely worsen quality of life and cause professional and social dysadaptation. The manifestations of and diagnostic criteria for impulsivecompulsive disorders in PD and the contribution of genetic and sociodemographic factors to their genesis are also depicted. Clinical neuropsychological assessment scales are assessed. Sleep disorders that are pathogenetically similar to neuropsychological disorders are characterized.
Parkinson’s disease (PD) is the second most common human neurodegenerative disorder. Genetically, PD may be considered as both a monogenous and multifactorial disease. At the moment, much ...consideration is being given to a search for genetic markers for the LRRK2 6055G>T mutation in exon 41, which plays a role in the development of both monogenous and sporadic cases of PD. The paper presents the results of a 4-year epidemiological study of PD in the town of Zheleznogorsk (Krasnoyarsk Territory). Objective: to study the epidemiology and clinical and genetic features of PD.Patients and methods. There were three observation groups: 1) 135 patients with PD, including 72.6% with previously diagnosed PD and 27.4% with new-onset PD; 2) 44 patients (75% of women and 25% of men) with PD who underwent molecular genetic examination; 3) 30 healthy volunteers (66.7% of women and 33.3% of men) – a control group. The observation groups were matched for gender and age (p>0.05). The study included a retrospective analysis of medical documentation, a prospective clinical and epidemiological study, and a cohort study of genetic predictors for PD.Results and discussion. The weighted mean prevalence of PD in Zheleznogorsk was 124.2 per 100,000 population; morbidity, 13.8 per 100,000 in 2013; mortality was minimal (0 case per 100,000 in 2010 and 2012 and 1.1 case in 2012 and 2013. The genetic markers rs1427263, rs11176013, and rs11564148 of the LRRK2 6055G>T mutation linked to the PARK8 locus on chromosome 12q12 were unassociated with the development of PD among the dwellers of Zheleznogorsk. The frequency of the genetic marker rs7966550 (the homozygous genotype C/C) in the group of PD patients was higher than in that of healthy volunteers (44.5% vs 16.5%). No specific features were found in the pattern and clinical presentations of PD with regard to single-nucleotide polymorphism markers.

The use of antiepileptic drugs (AEDs) during pregnancy is associated with an increased risk of congenital malformations (CMF). Information on the teratogenicity of AEDs is contradictory. The ...potential negative effects of new-generation AEDs are less well known. Many physicians and patients face difficulties in establishing a balance between the risk of seizures during pregnancy and that of teratogenicity in the use of AEDs. In most foreign countries, there are national and international pregnancy and epilepsy registries that make possible to centralize and systematize information on the safety of AEDs and to also give a true picture of the state of the problem. The Russian pregnancy and epilepsy register (RPER) has been launched since 2017. RPER is a Russian national prospective and retrospective observational study, without interfering with the antiepileptic therapy prescribed by an attending physician to childbearing-aged patients living in the subjects of the Russian Federation. RPER is an independent research initiative and is implemented by neurologists and psychiatrists who provide assistance to women with epilepsy. The main goal of the RPER is to compare the risk of serious CMFs following the maternal intake of various AEDs and their combinations in different regions of the Russian Federation and to develop strategies for preventing CMFs.
