Fatima Mernissi is a figure of modern Muslim feminism. He was an Arab Muslim woman sociologist who cares about gender issues in the lives of Muslims. Gender issues, especially he observed and he is ...paying special attention to gender issues in her native Morocco. Much of his talk about the problems of sexuality in the dynamics of social life cannot be separated from Morocco Islam as a religious belief. It is universally thought of Fatima Mernissi actually wants to show partiality Islam on gender equality. Substantively Islam does not forbid women to politics, career, and obtain higher education. Fatima Mernissi further wants to show that Islam recognizes the rights, status, and role of women in almost all dimensions of life.

Salak (Salacca zalacca) banyak dibudidayakan di Kabupaten Bangkalan. Permasalahan penyerbukan seperti kesuburan serbuk sari menjadi masalah utama dalam produksi salak di Bangkalan. Penelitian ...ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari viabilitas serbuk sari dari bunga jantan pada salak Bangkalan. Sampel bunga dikoleksi dari perkebunan salak di Desa Kramat, Kecamatan Bangkalan, Kabupaten Bangkalan. Pengamatan dan pembuatan preparat dilakukan di Laboratorium Produksi, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Trunojoyo Madura pada bulan Mei 2018. Pengamatan fertilitas serbuk sari dilakukan di bawah mikroskop setelah dilakukan pewarnaan terhadap serbuk sari dengan larutan Lugol 1%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan viabilitas serbuk sari pada bunga salak jantan kuning lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan bunga salak jantan merah dengan perbandingan 95% dan 10%.

Snake fruit (Salacca zalacca (Gaertner) Voss) is widely cultivated in Bangkalan District. Pollination problems such as pollen fertility are a major problem in the production of salak in Bangkalan. The objective of the study was to determine the pollen viability of Bangkalan snake fruit. Flower sample was collected from salak gardens in Kramat Village, Bangkalan and pollen analysis were conducted at the Production Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, the University of Trunojoyo Madura in May 2018. Observation of fertility of pollen was conducted under a microscope after pollen staining with Lugol 1%. The results showed that the pollen viability of male yellow flower was higher than the red one with a ratio of 95% and 10%, respectively.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah ...untuk mengetahui populasi pohon asam di sepanjang Jl. Raya Socah-Arosbaya, Kabupaten Bangkalan. Survei dilaksanakan pada Juni-Agustus 2018 dengan metode purposive sampling mulai dari jalan raya Socah dengan koordinat 7°05'48.6"LS 112°42'44.3"BT sampai Jalan raya Gebang Arosbaya yang berada di koordinat 6°58'57.3"LS 112°47'38.0"BT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan populasi pohon asam sepanjang Jl. Raya Socah-Arobaya hanya ada 102 tanaman (5.03%) dengan indeks biodiversitas sebesar 0.1509. Population Diversity of tamarind (Tamarindus indica L.) populations
in Socah-Arosbaya Highway, Bangkalan District
and Conservation Strategies
ABSTRACTThe tamarind tree (Tamarindus indica) is very suitable for shade and landscape because the the canopy is shady, the leaves are small, the branches are strong and not easily broken. The purpose of this study was to determine the tamarind tree population along Socah-Arosbaya highway, Bangkalan district. The survey was done in June-August 2018 with purposive sampling method, starting from Socah highway with coordinates 7°05'48.6"S 112°42'44.3"E to Gebang Arosbaya highway located at coordinates 6°58'57.3"S 112°47'38.0"E. The results showed the tamarind tree population along Socah-Arobaya highway there are only 102 plants (5.03%) with a diversity index was 0.1509. Tamarind trees need to be conserved because in addition to historical value as well as a place of Vanda limbata orchids and the importance of biological research on dry land.
Wonogiri Regency, located in Indonesia, is an area susceptible to various types of natural disasters, such as floods, landslides, and hurricanes, which pose a significant risk to approximately 90% in ...this area. Therefore, this study aimed to identify the types of potential disasters in Wonogiri and propose effective strategies for disaster mitigation from 2021 to 2025. This study uses a risk matrix to quantify the risks associated with these potential disasters and utilizes House of Risk (HoR) phase 2 methodology to formulate strategies for disaster risk prevention. This comprehensive analysis has shown seven potential disasters for which nine mitigation strategies have been developed. Among these, the top three strategies, considering the effectiveness value and the degree of difficulty (EDRk) value, in order of priority, are “Increasing multi-stakeholder partnerships in disaster management” (EDRk value 176.20); “Strengthening the legal framework for disaster management” (EDRk value 167.40); and “Conducting socialization and education on disaster mitigation” (EDRk value 111.60). Implementing these strategies is expected to strengthen disaster risk reduction (DRR) in regencies, with a focus on prioritizing the most effective measures.
Surakarta is a city in Central Java, Indonesia that has the potential to be affected by any type of disaster. This study aims to identify hazards that may cause disasters in the city; to measure the ...level of damage produced by the disasters; and to provide disaster mitigation strategies for the city over the 2023-2027 period of time. To achieve these aims, this study uses the risk matrix method to determine the level of risk imposed by each of the potential disasters and implements the house of risk (HoR) phase 2 to formulate disaster mitigation strategies. The study reveals that there are 7 potential disasters taking place in the city during the time period of 2023-2027. The use of HoR phase 2 results in 10 mitigation strategies, namely “Carrying out disaster outreach and education”; “Collaborating with other parties in disaster management”, “Strengthening the legal framework for disaster management”, “Mapping disaster-prone areas”, “Providing early warning of disasters to communities”, “Forming disaster-resilient villages”, “Cleaning and developing water drainage channel”, “Controlling illegal settlements”, “Adding water catchment areas”; and “Conducting reforestation”.
Occupational accidents frequently occurred in the spinning department of PT. Panca Bintang Tunggal Sejahtera, Indonesia, in the past year. The purpose of this study is to minimize the number of work ...accidents in the department by knowing the risk value, sequence of events, and incidents factors. The research method used is the HIRA method for classifying the risk level of each hazard and the SCAT method for finding factors causing work accidents. According to the HIRA approach, 28 hazards were found in 7 yarn spinning process activities in the spinning department including 3 potential hazards with extreme risk (11%), 10 potential hazards with high risk (36%), 8 potential hazards with medium risk (28%), and 7 potential hazards with low risk (25%). From the SCAT implementation, it is revealed that all activities require control and changes, especially in work process activities where there are hazards with extreme risk. The proposed improvements are to complete the procurement of PPE, add OHS signs, provide outreach and training to all employees related to OHS, and form an inspection team to supervise workers related to OHS.
With Indonesia’s marine resources abundance, it is appropriate for Indonesia’s economic growth to gear towards the fisheries sector. Fishery management in Indonesia is still not operating optimally ...due to a lack of fisheries management infrastructure. This study took place at the Fish Auction Place in Dadap Village, West Java, Indonesia. The actual problem is a fluctuation in fish catch due to seasonal factors that cause instability in fish prices and fishermen’s incomes. Furthermore, there is no cold storage for storing fish when the fish are abundant so that the quality of the fish will decrease. However, fishery cold storage is energy-intensive equipment, and there is a lack of electricity infrastructure in that coastal area. Renewable Energy Sources (RES) are the key for rural electricity because RES prices are lower, especially on-grid solar photovoltaic (PV), than fossil fuel-based. Consequently, the application of solar PV in Indonesia is still not optimal due to limited regulations. Regulations that hinder the economic value of On-grid PV system are the excess energy compensation percentage and the inverter capacity limitation. Therefore, in this study, we have modelled six regulatory scenarios related to On-grid PV system. The scenarios are how the current 65% excess energy compensation is changed to 85% and 100% (1:1 ratio) and remove the regulation regarding inverter capacity limitation. Furthermore, the ownership model of cold storage is also considered by dividing it into two models, which are commercial-based and community-based. These ownership models have different financial instruments. The simulation gives a new result by changing regulation assumptions that On-grid PV system has a lower Levelized Cost of Electricity (LCOE) than existing regulation because it can produce threefold more electricity to the utility grid with higher inverter capacity. Furthermore, the community-based cold storage rental price can be 16 % cheaper on average with all energy system topologies than the commercial-based ownership model. Then, by reducing the capital costs of solar modules and batteries in 2030, solar PV system’s LCOE will be lower by an average of 20%. It will result in an average reduction of 10% on cold storage rental prices. Finally, sensitivity analysis of the energy system is also conducted in this study. The result is that On-grid PV system is the most secure energy source against price fluctuations.
Wage is still one of the issues that has always been in thespotlight, especially in developing countries such as Indonesia, especially inthe agricultural sector. Women in the work environment in the ...public sectorare often still distinguished from men in terms of the division of labor. Thedifference in the division of labor between men and women in agriculture,this is what affects the wage system and the tendency of gender inequalityand injustice. This is given that wage are a major component of one’sincome, so the wage rate is one indicator that can reflect the welfare of thecommunity. One of the solutions that must be done is the need for criticalassessment of the livelihood of the workers which has been a problem,especially the fulfillment of the wage of women laborers who are still low.
Abstrak: Upah masih menjadi permasalahan terutama di negara-negaraberkembang, khususnya disektor pertanian. Dalam pembagian kerjadi sektor publik, perempuan dan laki-laki masih dibedakan. Perbedaanpembagian kerja antara laki-laki dan perempuan inilah yang kemudianmempengaruhi sistem pengupahan, yang pada akhirnya melahirkanketimpangan dan ketidakadilan gender.Hal ini mengingat bahwa upahmerupakan komponen utama dari pendapatan seseorang. Upah merupakansalah satu indikator yang dapat mencerminkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Salah satusolusi yang harus dilakukan adalah perlunya kajian kritis atas penghidupan buruh yang selama ini masih menjadi persoalan,khususnya upah buruh perempuan tani yang masih rendah.
