Teachers are able to lead and manage classes at SMP Negeri 1 Bilah Hilir by recognizing classes that are getting bored, by changing learning methods so that students can understand mathematics learning. The evaluation carried out by the teacher saw that students were able to work on questions, assignments, exercises and exams. This is done by giving questions, quizzes, pre-tests, assignments, exercises and exams. Efforts to improve students' mathematics learning at SMP Negeri 1 Bilah Hilir are by carrying out learning activities that relate to everyday life in accordance with the learning materials. This study aims to describe the learning interest of class XI students at SMAN 1 Panai Hulu in biology subject. Subjects in the study were students XI IPA1, XI IPA2 and XI IPA3, with a total of 105 people. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive research. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, observation, and interviews. The results of research that has been carried out with four indicators are obtained, namely the feeling of pleasure of students in participating in learning by 75.77%, student attention to learning by 70.78%, student interest in learning by 74.04%, student involvement in learning by 73.91 %. Based on these results, it can be concluded that students' interest in learning biology in class XI IPA1, XI IPA2 and XI IPA3 at SMAN 1 Panai Hulu is high. Even though students' learning interest is high, student activity is still influenced by the completeness of learning media.AbstrakMinat sangat menentukan hasil belajar siswa baik secara akademik maupun non akademik. Minat belajar siswa menurun dikarenakan faktor cara belajar yang kurang berkesan dan faktor media pembelajaran yang kurang menarik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan minat belajar siswa kelas XI di SMAN 1 Panai Hulu pada mata pelajaran biologi. Subjek dalam penelitian adalah siswa XI IPA1, XI IPA2 dan XI IPA3, dengan total sebanyak 105 orang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar angket, observasi, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan dengan empat indikator didapatkan yaitu perasaan senang siswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran sebesar 75,77%, perhatian siswa terhadap pembelajaran sebesar 70,78%, ketertarikan siswa terhadap pembelajaran sebesar 74,04%, keterlibatan siswa terhadap pembelajaran sebesar 73,91%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan minat belajar siswa kelas XI IPA1, XI IPA2 dan XI IPA3 di SMAN 1 Panai Hulu terhadap pembelajaran biologi adalah sangat tinggi. Meskipun minat belajar peserta didik tinggi, keaktifan peserta didik masih dipengaruhi oleh kelengkapan media pembelajaran.

This study aims to be able to see and know the difficulties faced by biology education students in microteaching lessons at Labuhanbatu University. The method used in this research is descriptive-qualitative. The sample in this study was made up of all fifth-semester biology education students. Data collection techniques included questionnaires and interviews. The results of the research that has been carried out regarding the analysis of the difficulties of biology education students in microteaching learning at Labuhanbatu University are: use of learning methods (42.61%), mastery of material (42.15%), skills in teaching (52.67%), skills in opening learning (54.36%), readiness in learning (54.70%), skills to ask (46.79%), skills to close learning (50.81%), and skills to explain (40.81%). Microteaching is very important for students in preparing themselves as prospective teachers and adding insight and knowledge.Abstrak Pendidikan merupakan suatu bidang yang sangat penting bagi masa depan untuk mengembangkan keahlian dan kemampuan serta membentuk generasi yang lebih baik dalam rangka mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk dapat melihat serta mengetahui kesulitan yang dihadapi mahasiswa pendidikan biologi dalam pembelajaran microteaching di Universitas Labuhanbatu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu kualitatif deskriptif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh mahasiswa pendidikan biologi semester lima, tehnik pengumpulan data berupa angket dan wawancara. Adapun hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan mengenai analisis kesulitan mahasiswa pendidikan biologi dalam pembelajaran microteaching di Universitas Labuhanbatu yaitu: penggunaan metode pembelajaran (42.61%), penguasaan materi (42.15%), keterampilan dalam mengajar (52.67%), keterampilan dalam membuka pembelajaran (54.36%), kesiapan dalam pembelajaran (54.70%), keterampilan bertanya (47.69%), keterampilan menutup pembelajaran (50.81%), dan keterampilan menjelaskan (40.81%). Pembelajaran microteaching sangat penting bagi mahasiswa dalam mempersiapkan diri sebagai calon guru dan menambah wawasan dan pengentahuan.

This research aims to determine high school students' attitudes at SMA Negeri 2 Bilah Hulu towards biology subjects, particularly the material on the human circulatory system. This research employed a qualitative strategy and descriptive approaches. The findings of this survey indicate that the indicator of pleasure in studying biology is 78.30%, the indication of curiosity is 82.92%, the indicator of interest in extending biology time is 80.90%, and the indicator of interest in a career in biology is 79.89%. This research concludes that students have the highest positive attitude toward the indicator of curiosity, while they have the least positive attitude toward the indicator of enjoyment in learning biology. Good curiosity from students is a good foundation in the learning process; it's just that innovative learning activities that are more interactive are needed if you want students to be more interested in learning biology.Abstrak Sikap ialah kecenderungan dalam berprilaku dan dapat diartikan sebagai ungkapan seseorang terhadap suatu stimulus. Sedangkan sikap terhadap biologi khususnya mata pelajaran sistem peredaran darah manusia dapat diungkapkan melalui perasaan/perilaku menerima atau menolak terhadap objek biologi tersebut. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui sikap peserta didik terhadap mata pelajaran biologi khususnya pada materi sistem peredaran darah manusia pada tingkatan sekolah menengan atas lebih tepatnya di SMA Negeri 2 Bilah Hulu. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu pada indikator kesenangan dalam belajar biologi dengan persentase sebesar 78.30%, indikator rasa ingin tahu dengan persentase sebesar 82.92%, kemudian pada indikator ketertarikan memperbanyak waktu biologi dengan persentase sebesar 80.90%, dan pada indikator ketertarikan berkarir dibidang biologi dengan persentase sebesar 79.89%. Adapun kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu bahwa sikap positif peserta didik paling banyak pada indikator rasa ingin tahu, sedangkan sikap positif peserta didik paling rendah ada pada indikator kesenangan dalam belajar biologi. Rasa ingin tahu yang baik dari peserta didik adalah pondasi yang bagus dalam proses pembelajaran, hanya saja diperlukan inovasi kegiatan belajar yang lebih interaktif jika ingin peserta didik menjadi lebih tertarik untuk belajar biologi.
