Aim. To test a simplified version of assessing the results of total hip replacement based on patient survey data. Materials and Methods. We conducted a cohort retrospective study with historical ...control. The study included 80 patients interviewed ≥ 1 year after the total hip replacement. Patients were included into the study regardless of gender, age and concomitant pathology. Statistical analysis was performed using EpiInfo software (version 7.2.2.2), Python programming language, and SciPy package version 1.11.4. Results. We developed a compact questionnaire of 33 questions to compare the answers of patients before and after the surgery. After prosthetics, the self-esteem of the patient conditions improved significantly. The results were stratified into 6 blocks of questions by the odds ratio magnitude: emotional state – 49.3 (11.3-215.4); health status – 42.8 (12.4-147.7); ability to move outside the home –14.4 (1.8-113.4); self-care ability at home – 11.7 (5.3-25.7); overall quality of life assessment – 9.3 (3.1-28.4). Such differences before and after surgery were statistically significant for all blocks of questions (p ≤ 0,008). In general, 81.2% (81.2÷81.3) of patients were completely satisfied with the results of the surgery, and 8.8% (8.6÷8.9) were partially satisfied. Conclusion. We tested a study design which allows to evaluate the rate of improvement in selfesteem of patients after the total hip replacement.
1n the clinic of Scientific Center of Reconstructive and Restorative Surgery SB RAMS of Irkutsk the open controlled randomized single-center study for evaluation of clinical efficiency of the ...surgical method was hold. The analysis of surgery was based on 34 patients with chronic posttraumatic anteromedial instability of the shoulder joint with the defect of the front edge of the blade articular process. The result of the research showed its efficiency in patients of young and working age. While evaluation of functional results by the scale of Rowe-Zarins in three months for 28,8 % and in six months for 16,4 % and by the scale of DASH for 18,5 % in three months after the surgery the better results were achieved (the level of evidence was 11 b) comparing to traditional method of surgery, that let to the patient of the main group much earlier get back to work and going in for sport.
The article is devoted to the analysis of the results of examination and treatment of patients with spine pathology in lumbar segment. The data on the actuality of the problem of spine pathology ...(frequency of occurrence, invalidization). On the basis of their experience the authors propose complex approach to the treatment of patients with discogenic lumbar-sacral rediculitis, complicated by the disks hernias and pain syndrome, based on the definite algorithm in the form of treatment program. Lumbodynia and lumbar ischialgia prevailed in neurological status of the patients (45,2 %). Radicular disorders (radiculopathy, radiculoneuritis) are registered in 13,1 % of patients. Pain syndrome by the visually analogue scale corresponded to 7-6 (40 % of patients) and 5-4 points (60 % of patients). Protrusion of the disks (bulging of the disk up to 4 mm) are revealed in 24,3 % of cases. Median and paramedian hernias of disks (bulging of the disk from 4 to 8 mm) are revealed in 57,4 % patients. Posterolateral hernias of disks (bulging of the disk from 4 to 7 mm) are revealed in 18,3 % of patients. At the estimation of the effectiveness of treatment of 115 patients favorable results of treatment in the terms up to 1 year were registered in 99 of them.
