This study was aimed to evaluate N excretion between goat and sheep. This study used the data of 30 male Kacang goats (BW 8.3 - 23.8 kg) and 30 male thin tailed sheep (BW 20.7 - 28.5kg) from 6 ...experiments. The diets contained 9-18% CP and 55-78% TDN. Paramaters observed were N intake (NI) and N feces of goat (NFG), N feces of sheep (NFS) N urine of goat (NUG), N urine of sheep (NUS) and N excreted total for goats (NETG) and sheep (NETS). All data were analyzed using correlation regression analysis. The data showed that NI was correlated with NUS (r=0.478), NFS (r=0.709) as well as NETS (r=0.732), all were belong to sheep stronger than of goats (NUG r=0.311; NFG r=0.334 and NETG r=0.157. Based on the results, it can be concluded that sheep and goat has a different ability to utilize the N intake, and therefore the goats and sheep could not be predicted using single prediction estimation and suggested to be provided by specific prediction equation.
Sea level rise (SLR) brings with it a negative impact towards Surabaya's coastal area as this particular part of the city is situated only 0-3 meters above sea level. The amount of damage due to the ...floods indicates the city's level of readiness in facing threats from the flood. With flood height up to 90 centimeters, it is necessary to classify flood risk levels in an attempt to reduce the impact that will occur.
This paper identify sea level rise by using least square regression, which generates the trend and prediction of sea level rise. The next analysis is the identification of a potentially disaster due to sea level rise by using multinomial logistic regression. Identification of flood hazard characteristics through weighted-overlay analysis using flood height and duration as variables. It also identifies factors influencing vulnerability using Delphi analysis. AHP Expert is then employed to calculate the weight of each factor. Vulnerable zones are determined using overlay-weighted-sum on each vulnerable factor. These results are then mapped using Raster Calculator method, placing emphasis on risk functions influenced by hazard and vulnerability.
The final result is a flood risk zone map which identifies 5 risk levels according to the National Disaster Mitigation Guidance.
Abstract
The fall armyworm
Spodoptera frugiperda
(FAW) is an alien invasive species that attacked maize crops in Indonesia in 2019. This pest is reported to cause significant damage, so control ...measures are required. Understanding farmers’ perceptions, knowledge, and management of FAW are important steps towards developing sustainable integrated management strategies as farmers are important actors in this context. A total of 102 farmers were selected for interviews from Bandung, Garut, and Sumedang districts. We found that most respondents surveyed were of productive ages, and the majority were male. Most farmers in all districts were able to differentiate FAW based on distinguishing morphological features and level of damage on infested maize plants. Farmers consider a significant yield reduction if the pest is not controlled. However, due to limited information, most farmers relied on chemical insecticides to control this pest. Farmers in Sumedang, nevertheless, also practiced mechanical and cultural methods for FAW management. In addition, extension agents and farmer groups can help improve farmers’ knowledge of the fall armyworm related to control measures applied to manage FAW. Therefore, enhancing farmers’ capacity through participation in training courses and farmer groups, as well as extension agents’ role as information sources about FAW should be increased.
Technology is one of key factors in achieving competitive advantage of an organization, especially those in creative industries. Through effective technology transfer is it expected to be transferred ...technology really can be absorbed and used by the creative industries. There are several factors that influence the effectiveness of technology transfer, this research using four factors, there are: characteristics of transfer agent, characteristics of transfer recipient, form of technologies and Transfer Mechanism. Some models and framework can also be used to study the relationship of the key factors of success with the effectiveness of technology transfer. Based on a conceptual model, this research aims to identify the key success factors of the process of technology transfer from the Trunojoyo University to creative industries in Bangkalan Madura. This study uses a multivariate approach by using principal component analysis and linear regression. Based on data from the four creative industries in Bangkalan obtained mathematical models Y = 0.830 + 0.379 Form Technology + 0.450 Characteristics of Transfer Agent - 0.371 Characteristics of Transfer Recipient. The model has a R2 value of 0.299, which means those factors capable identifies the effectiveness of technology transfer by 29.9%, the rest is explained by other factors that have not been identified. From the model concluded that characteristics of transfer agent is the main factors of technology transfer.
Abstract
Pedestrians are an element of urban transportation. The Pedestrian movement includes down the road, crossing both on the road and at the intersection. The existence of adequate pedestrian ...facilities is needed, including crossing facilities. The number of pedestrians on the Soekarno Hatta road is very high while gap vehicles are short so that it is difficult for pedestrians to cross. The purpose of this study was to determine the need for crossing facilities on the Soekarno Hatta street in Malang. Primary data collection was carried out on March 9-11, 2020. Analysis results obtained by the number of pedestrians is 322 people and volume traffic 4867,1 pcu/hour, PV2 = 6,3. 109 so that appropriate pedestrian facilities are pedestrian platform.
Abstract
The management of megaproject is an emerging-topics to be studied by researchers. As an established management theory, quality management has a potential role to support studies and ...implementation of megaprojects. This study aims to explore the potential of Seven Management and Planning Tools (SMPT) in supporting megaproject management. A literature review method was utilized to analyse pertinent literatures that used the SMPT in megaproject studies. Based on 28 published articles, it is concluded that SMPT have been widely applied by scholars to analyse megaproject’s study in various aspects. In addition, based on the project guideline PMBOK and the international standard project management ISO 21500:2012, the SMPT have opportunity to support the megaproject practice in each stage. This preliminary study gives the potential chance for further studies related to the use of SMPT in megaproject’s real case as well as the opportunity to develop megaproject management tools specifically. These issues become a research opportunity in the field of quality management and megaproject management in the future.
