The paper deals with the legislation of disinheritance in the Civil Code, especially the possibility of the testator to apply disinheritance to the descendants of disinherited heir. The current ...legislation allows the testator to apply disinheritance also to the descendants of disinherited heir, but yet distinguish whether disinherited heir survived the testator or not. At the same time formulation of the law only mentions exclusion of descendants of disinherited heir from their right to inheritance, but not from the right to legitimate portion. Different regulation applies to inheritance incompetence, which applies only to the incompetent heir and not to his descendants, even though it is a situation comparable with disinheritance.

Donation mortis causa is renewed institution in Czech Civil Code, which allows testator to avoid provisions of inheritance law by donation with suspensive condition that the donee survives the donor. ...The article brings the interpretation of the provisions of donation mortis causa in the current Czech Civil Code as well as in previous legislations in force in Czech Republic. The interpretation begins with Austrian Civil Code of 1811 and with the Draft of Czechoslovak Civil Code of 1937, which regulated donation mortis causa and were sources of inspiration to current regulation. Later Czechoslovak Civil Codes of 1950 and 1964 conversely strictly banned donation mortis causa until 2014, when current Czech Civil Code came into force. The paper brings interpretation of donation mortis causa provisions in above mentioned legislation and also draws attention to the major problems of this institution in the current legislation.
The article briefly discusses reflections of rights and duties between parents and children in current legislation of inheritance law. Rights and duties between parents
and children in the ...inheritance law reflect mainly in the institutes of inheritance incompetence, legal succession, legitimate portion and disinheritance and rights of certain persons for the provision. The article briefly describes these institutes and points to some interpretation problems of these institutes.
Roman inheritance law developed quite early. Already before the 5th century it was labelled as the most detailed part of the Roman law, which was built on certain values and which was ruled by basic ...principles. Inheritance was an important part of life for Romans, initially connected to a non-material position of the deceased father and the holder of the homely cult, nevertheless with the development of the society, it was the material part of inheritance which became prevalent. The original Roman legal principles of Inheritance law, however, remained through the evolutional changes and they were alternatively made into exceptions. These principles were such firmly based that some of them survived in the current inheritance law. The study analyses those principles, through which it expounds the character of Roman inheritance law and its transformation in current Czech inheritance law.

The Middle Triassic remains a poorly understood time in the evolution of land vertebrates. Here, we report a new Ladinian-age vertebrate assemblage from Miedary (southern Poland). It consists of more ...than 20 taxa including fish (four species of Hybodontiformes, cf. Gyrolepis, Redfieldiiformes, ‘Thelodus’, Saurichthys, Serrolepis, Prohalecites, Ptychoceratodus), amphibians (Mastodonsaurus, Gerrothorax, Plagiosternum, chroniosuchian Bystrowiella), and reptiles (Owenettidae, Blezingeria, Nothosaurus, Tanystropheus, an additional, yet unidentified tanystropheid, the doswelliid Jaxtasuchus, and another archosauromorph, as well as eight archosauriform tooth morphotypes). Preliminary comparisons suggest biogeographic and environmental similarities with roughly contemporaneous localities known from the southwestern part of the Germanic Basin. Among differences in these two areas are the presence of a new armored archosauromorph and a surprising abundance of Tanystropheus remains in the new Polish site. Miedary is currently the richest source of three-dimensionally preserved Tanystropheus material in the world, which will be crucial for a better understanding of the preferred environment and lifestyle of this highly specialized reptile.
