This paper studies the synergic relationship between traffic and tourism in Croatia’s Dubrovnik-Neretva County by the 2020., based on the idicators detected in 2014. It elects the variables that ...characterise the synergy of traffic and tourism i, speaking from the standpoint of traffic and geography, in the most problematic county in the Republic of Croatia. The basic hypothesis has been confirmed through scientifically obtained research results, through the quantification of the model’s variables and the direct growth rates of the designed model. On the basis of scientific insights into the sustainable development of traffic and tourism in Dubrovnik-Neretva County, it is possible to propose a new information model for traffic at the service of the sustainable development of tourism in the County for period 2014.-2020.
This study explores the worldwide demand for the newly built ships from 2014 to 2017 and produces forecasts for the demands concerning the years 2018 and 2020, on the basis of mental and verbal ...insights into the global shipping market, theoretical aspects of the issue, and the selected variables (South Korea, China, Japan, Europe and the Rest of the World) of the information model for the global shipbuilding. The value of the variables for the year 2016 has been achieved by taking into account the synergistic effect of the percentage obtained per order books across the world, gross tonnage in 0,000 GT and the value of vessels in billion US$ for each selected variable. In the next stage these values have been quantified based on the mental and verbal insights into the scientific aspects of the global shipping market variables of the information model for the global shipbuilding in the years of 2018 and 2020. In this way, for the first time, the growth matrix has produced the values of the selected variables, i.e. the direct growth rates of the information model for the global shipbuilding for the period 2018-2020. The research has involved a combination of scientific methods, among which the most relevant are analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, descriptive, comparative, statistical and mathematical methods, method of model drawing (growth matrix), and methods of proving and refuting.
Predmet je istraživanja u ovome radu razvitak nautičkog turizma u Republici Hrvatskoj do godine 2015. Za definiranje svojstava i determinanti nautičkog turizma korišten je model na bazi matrice ...rasta. Analiza i vrednovanje pojedinih varijabli modela i dobijene izravne stope rasta imale su cilj znanstveno zasnovano formulirati rezultate istraživanja, prema najvažnijim teorijskim zakonitostima razvitka nautičkog turizma Republike Hrvatske. Autori su se u radu koristili odgovarajućim kombinacijama brojnih znanstvenih metoda, od njih se navode samo one najvažnije: metoda analize i sinteze, induktivna i deduktivna metoda, deskriptivna metoda, komparativna
metoda, statistička i matematička metoda, metoda modeliranja (matrica rasta), metoda dokazivanja i metoda opovrgavanja.
Novi model razvitka nautičkog turizma moguće je realizirati ovisno o
ponašanju brojnih izravno ili neizravno uključenih čimbenika. Glavna znanstvena hipoteza dokazana je izravnim stopama rasta odabranih varijabli modela. Tako je dana znanstveno zasnovana potvrda hipoteze: Znanstvenim spoznajama o razvijanju nautičkog turizma Republike Hrvatske do godine 2015. moguće je predložiti novi model razvoja nautičkog turizma Republike Hrvatske do godine 2015.

The biggest Croatian passenger liner company,Jadrolinija d. d., ...Rijeka is analysed as well as the capacityof the Croatian passenger liner companies in terms of the needsof tourism and promotion of the Croatian shipbuilding. Trendsthat appear in the capacity and characteristics of ships used inliner shipping and for cruising indicate the necessity of complexapproach to stimulating the development of these branches. Acomplex approach to shipping, tourism and shipbuilding is expectedto significantly contribute to restructuring of the Croatianeconomy and to stimulating the export sector.

The goals of this paper have been to explore and define the advantages of resolving maritime disputes through arbitration compared to their settlement in state courts, to emphasise the importance of ...arbitration in resolving maritime disputes, to encourage the parties to settle maritime disputes in this way, and to determine and quantify the values of the most relevant variables of the information model for resolving maritime disputes by means of arbitration versus state courts through the period 2008-2018. The research proves that arbitration clearly presents a faster, more creative and cost-efficient way of settling maritime disputes when compared to judicial proceedings. The advantages also include practical and economical aspects, flexibility and confidentiality. Due to these advantages, arbitration becomes the principal means of resolving disputes in maritime trade. Quantification of the values of the main variables of the information model for the period 2008-2018 proves that it is more beneficial to the parties involved in maritime issues to settle their disputes through arbitration than before state courts.
Subject of analysis in this paper is sustainable development of island tourism. Croatian islands need to protect environment through implantation of environment friendly development strategy of ...tourism and other economic activities. Protection and promotion of island communities need to be the main aim of islands development. In this respect the author presents reasons and argumentation for appropriate tourism activities, including eco tourism, rural tourism, cultural and health tourism. Theoretical research has been enriched by empirical research revealing preferences and motivation of tourist visit the island of Vis.
