Maintenance during industrial development has evolved and adapted to each challenge presented. The progress and development of computer science have opted for the massive use of information and ...communication technologies that arise in industrial processes generating new possibilities in maintenance management and operation. In Colombia, public and private organizations have carried out exhaustive studies on the use and maturation of technology in different industrial sectors. These studies provide valuable information on the technological progress of the country and the gaps that exist to achieve a competitive country globally. These data were analyzed and purchased with the relevance that maintenance has in Colombian industries and with current maintenance management techniques focused on improving decision making within organizations. This research establishes, within a timeline, the concerns that in the short, medium and long term should meet the maintenance in the so-called industry 4.0 in Colombia contributing to the country's industry in improving one of its nerve processes to have companies sustainable and competitive.
The World Health Organization (WHO) classification of tumors of hematopoietic and lymphoid tissues (2001) defined a provisional entity named refractory anemia with ringed sideroblasts associated to ...marked thrombocytosis (RARS-MT). Diagnosis of RARS-MT requires more than 15% of ringed sideroblasts in bone marrow aspirate and the existence of a thrombocytosis in blood, with a platelet count above 600 × 10
9
/L. Nevertheless, controversy exists regarding this platelet count “cut-off” value and, when RARS-MT was defined, the JAK2 mutation and its importance in the study of myeloproliferative disorders was unknown. We present the results of a Spanish retrospective multicentric study, which includes 76 cases of RARS with associated thrombocytosis (platelet count above 400 × 10
9
/L) at diagnosis (RARS-T), 36 of them with a platelet count above 600 × 10
9
/L. Our aim was to analyze their clinical, analytical and morphological characteristics, and to establish correlations with the JAK2 mutational status.
Objective
To identify the factors associated with an adequate perception of body image in relation to body weight.
Material and methods
An observational, cross‐sectional study was conducted in a ...representative sample of the European Union (7155 men and 8077 women). Body Mass Index (BMI) was grouped into four categories, perceived body image was assessed using the nine silhouettes drawing scheme. A multivariable logistic regression model for each sex was used to adjust for potentially confounding variables.
Results
Underweight men and women classified themselves better than other groups (92.9% of correct answers among men and 79.3% among women). Overall, women classified themselves better than men (57.6% vs. 32.7%).
Discussion
Perceived body image as a method of assessment for body weight has different validity depending on sociodemographic or attitudinal categories. Perceived body image as an estimate of the nutritional status has a limited individualized application. Thus, perhaps it could be applied as a proxy measure of adiposity among slim males and among slim and overweight females, but not among the other groups.
We performed a detailed study of in situ indium segregation in InAs/GaAs heterostructures during conventional MBE growth process. A set of heterostructures grown under different substrate ...temperatures was tested. We used in the study a recently developed equation for SIMS's Depth Resolution Function (DRF), which included Recoil Implantation, Cascade Mixing and Sputtering Induced Roughness phenomena (RMR model). Segregation process was included in this DRF as an exponentially increasing function. Then we found from experimental SIMS depth profiles segregation parameters for different growth temperatures and the energy activation for the segregation process. It was found equal to 0.27
eV that is close to values published in literature. A segregation free regime of the growth process was developed experimentally.
A Bayesian test for the point null testing problem in the multivariate case is developed. A procedure to get the mixed distribution using the prior density is suggested. For comparisons between the ...Bayesian and classical approaches, lower bounds on posterior probabilities of the null hypothesis, over some reasonable classes of prior distributions, are computed and compared with the p-value of the classical test. With our procedure, a better approximation is obtained because the p-value is in the range of the Bayesian measures of evidence.

Dendrites and dendritic spines are the essential cellular compartments in neuronal communication, conveying information through transient voltage signals. Our understanding of these compartmentalized ...voltage dynamics in fine, distal neuronal dendrites remains poor due to the difficulties inherent to accessing and stably recording from such small, nanoscale cellular compartments for a sustained time. To overcome these challenges, we use nanopipettes that permit long and stable recordings directly from fine neuronal dendrites. We reveal a diversity of voltage dynamics present locally in dendrites, such as spontaneous voltage transients, bursting events and oscillating periods of silence and firing activity, all of which we characterized using segmentation analysis. Remarkably, we find that neuronal dendrites can display spontaneous hyperpolarisation events, and sustain transient hyperpolarised states. The voltage patterns were activity-dependent, with a stronger dependency on synaptic activity than on action potentials. Long-time recordings of fine dendritic protrusions show complex voltage dynamics that may represent a previously unexplored contribution to dendritic computations.
Using nanopipette electrophysiology, we reveal in neuronal dendrites a diversity of voltage dynamics comprising firing activity, bursting events and spontaneous voltage transients, including a novel class of events consisting of transient and sustained hyperpolarisations.
Malformation disease is an important disease of mango (Mangifera indica L.) worldwide. This disease was first observed in 2008 in mango orchards in the Azua and Peravia provinces of Dominican ...Republic. Vegetative symptoms included loss of apical dominance, and swollen apical and lateral buds; fasciculated, thickened, and misshapen stems with shortened internodes and dwarfed leaves. From July to September 2013, malformed vegetative shoots were collected in mango 'Keitt' orchards located in Azua de Compostela County with a disease incidence from 1 to 40%. Pieces of symptomatic tissue were surface sterilized in 1% sodium hypochlorite for 2 min, rinsed three times in sterile distilled water, dried for 10 min, and transferred to potato dextrose agar medium (PDA). The petri plates were incubated at 28degreesC for 5 days in a 12-h photoperiod. The most frequent fungal colonies were purified, and monosporic cultures obtained in PDA. Fungal colonies developed aerial mycelium, producing orange to red pigments in the medium after 3 days of incubation. Macroconidia were slender, slightly falcate, with a beaked apical cell and a footlike basal cell, and were 3 to 7 septate and 24.2 to 58.8 x 2.5 to 3.5 mum. Microconidia were ovoid or oval, with 0-septate conidia abundant and 1-septate conidia less common, 6.5 to 9.3 x 2.2 to 3.3 mum, and usually aggregated in false heads. Coiled sterile hyphae were observed; chlamydospores were absent. The fungus was identified as Fusarium pseudocircinatum according to descriptions by Leslie and Summerell (2006). To confirm the identification, DNA was extracted from a pure culture (Azua-1) and the translation elongation factor 1-alpha (TEF-1alpha) and beta-tubulin (BT) gene regions were amplified by PCR using primers EF1/EF2 and BT1/BT2 (Kvas et al. 2008). Sequences were deposited at GenBank (Accession Nos. KT253884 and KT253885). BLAST analysis of these regions showed 99% identity with sequences of F. pseudocircinatum(GU737398, AF160271, GU737390, and GU737391). To verify the pathogenicity, the isolate Azua-1 was used to inoculate 10 healthy 6-month-old mango 'Puntica' seedlings by infiltration of 30 mul of a conidial suspension (2 x 10 super(6) spores/ml) with a hypodermic needle into an apical bud. Ten control plants were infiltrated with 30 mul of sterile distilled water. Plants were maintained in a nursery at 27 + or - 2degreesC. All inoculated plants developed typical vegetative malformation symptoms after 11 months, whereas no symptoms were observed on the control plants. The fungus was reisolated only from malformed plants by incubating diseased shoot pieces in PDA, fulfilling Koch's postulates. This fungus only has been reported causing mango malformation disease in Mexico (Freeman et al. 2014). Urgent actions are necessary to protect 4,370 ha of high-quality mango production in Dominican Republic and the promising mango export trade from this disease. Special attention is needed in production areas intensively managed with practices such as pruning, water stress and grafting.
BACKGROUND: High consumption of sugar-sweetened drinks has been associated with weight gain and obesity in the United States. This trend may also be affecting populations with different eating ...patterns who increasingly are adopting typical US dietary patterns. OBJECTIVE: We assessed whether the consumption of sweetened drinks and other food items increased the likelihood of weight gain in a Mediterranean population. DESIGN: This was a prospective cohort analysis of 7194 men and women with a mean age of 41 y who were followed-up for a median of 28.5 mo with mailed questionnaires. Dietary exposure was assessed with a previously validated semiquantitative food-frequency questionnaire. RESULTS: During follow-up, we observed that 49.5% of the participants increased their weight (x weight gain: 0.64 kg; 95% CI: 0.55, 0.73 kg). In the participants who had gained >/=3 kg in the 5 y before baseline, the adjusted odds ratio of subsequent weight gain for the fifth quintile compared with the first quintile of sugar-sweetened soft drink consumption was 1.6 (95% CI: 1.2, 2.1; P for trend = 0.02). This association was absent in the participants who had not gained weight in the 5-y period before baseline. The consumption of hamburgers, pizza, and sausages (as a proxy for fast-food consumption) was also independently associated with weight gain (adjusted odds ratio for the fifth compared with the first quintile = 1.2; 95% CI: 1.0, 1.4; P for trend = 0.05). We also found a significant, but weaker, association between weight gain and both red meat and sweetened fruit juice consumption. CONCLUSION: In a Mediterranean cohort, particularly in the participants who had already gained weight, an increased consumption of sugar-sweetened soft drinks and of hamburgers, pizza, and sausages was associated with a higher risk of additional subsequent weight gain.
