The ring rearrangement metathesis (RRM) of a
-
diastereomer mixture of methyl 3-allyl-3a,6-epoxyisoindole-7-carboxylates derived from cheap, accessible and renewable furan-based precursors in the ...presence of a new class of Hoveyda-Grubbs-type catalysts, comprising an N→Ru coordinate bond in a six-membered ring, results in the difficult-to-obtain natural product-like cyclopenta
furo2,3-
pyrroles. In this process, only one diastereomer with a
-arrangement of the 3-allyl fragment relative to the 3a,6-epoxy bridge enters into the rearrangement, while the
-isomers polymerize almost completely under the same conditions. The tested catalysts are active in the temperature range from 60 to 120 °C at a concentration of 0.5 mol % and provide better yields of the target tricycles compared to the most popular commercially available second-generation Hoveyda-Grubbs catalyst. The diastereoselectivity of the intramolecular Diels-Alder reaction furan (IMDAF) reaction between starting 1-(furan-2-yl)but-3-en-1-amines and maleic anhydride, leading to 3a,6-epoxyisoindole-7-carboxylates, was studied as well.
The development of permafrost areas requires reliable and long-term projected estimates in a changing climate and man-made impacts. Dangerous natural and man-made factors, such as snowfall, ...infiltration of precipitation, ice, thermokarst, etc., interact with the ground and determine the stability of the territories of the cryolithozone. In this regard, the work is devoted to the development of new algorithms and software for identifying the boundary conditions on the surface of frozen soil, taking into account the actual process of freezing and thawing of the pore solution of the soil.
The article provides the results of a computational study of the influence of external climatic factors (ambient temperature and atmospheric pressure) during the transportation of freights by rail on ...the performance of the pneumoshell as a means to secure unit and packaged freights in cars and containers. The preservation of the operability of the pneumoshells from the moment of installation to the moment of removal is determined by the need to maintain an excess pressure inside the pneumoshells not higher than the explosion pressure to prevent destruction of the pneumoshells and not less than zero to prevent its “collapse”. The calculation formulas for the study were obtained according to the Mendeleev — Clapeyron equation. The examples show the dependence of the excess pressure in the pneumoshell on temperature at constant atmospheric pressure for pneumoshells with operating pressures of 0.20, 0.25, 0.30, 0.40, 0.55 and 0.69 bar when the ambient temperature changes from the initial at which the pneumoshell was pumped up to its limit values established by the current regulatory documents and possible when transporting through the territory of Russia. The examples also show the general dependence of the overpressure in the pneumoshell on temperature and atmospheric pressure for pneumoshells with operating pressures of 0.30 and 0.40 bar. Based on the results of computational studies, it is recommended to use pneumoshells with a working pressure of 0.30 bar in cases where freight is not transported by rail from low areas in the high-pressure region with temperatures lower than –30 °C, in these cases — the use of pneumoshells with working pressure of 0.40 bar and above. Taking into account the obtained maximum calculated values of the overpressure inside the pneumoshell, the pressure of the “explosion” of the applied pneumoshell should be at least 0.80 bar.
Background. Community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) remains one of the most common diseases requiring urgent hospitalization, with a significant part of patients already receiving antibiotics before ...admission to the hospital. Aim. To assess the relationship between outpatient antibacterial therapy and in-hospital mortality and the severity of the CAP. Materials and methods. The retrospective study included the data of adult patients with CAP who were hospitalized in Tomsk from January 1 to December 31, 2017. Results. Among 1412 patients, 22.2% received antibiotics before admission to the hospital, the proportion of deaths in this group was significantly lower – 3.8% compared with 10.6% among patients without antibiotic therapy (p0.001). Subjects who received antibiotics on outpatient basis were less likely to require being in the intensive care unit and administering vasopressors, in contrast to patients without prior antibiotic therapy: 5.1 and 10.6% (p=0.003); 7.1 and 4.7% (p=0.018) respectively. In patients with severe CAP on a scale IDSA/ATS, only 11.8% of cases were detected with antibiotics before hospitalization, while in mild CAP the frequency of administration was 16.6% (p0.001). Conclusion. Ambulatory antibacterial therapy had a positive effect on the subsequent course and outcomes of CAP in a hospital setting. Patients had a predominantly mild course of the disease, needing for vasopressors, and being in the intensive care unit, but was not consistent with the need for invasive mechanical ventilation.
The design and construction work of the Belle II detector subsystems, including its electromagnetic calorimeter, is ongoing. The modification of the calorimeter includes the development of new ...electronics based on specially developed shaper-digitizer-signal-processing (Shaper DSP) modules. A shaper DSP module performs signal shaping, digitization, waveform analysis and provides a fast sum signal for trigger. The calorimeter includes 576 Shaper DSP modules. Recently mass-production stage started and the complete performance test for all modules is now necessary. To test a workability of modules and measure their parameters, a specialized testbench has been developed. The testbench allows one to study the signal shape, fast output, deviations from linearity, noise level and DSP logic. All test results are recorded in the database and some of them have graphical representation.
—The morphotypic variability of the anteroconid shape of the first lower molar of fossil and modern (continental and insular) populations of the reed vole (
Alexandromys fortis
) from the territory ...of Primorye (the south of the Russian Far East) has been analyzed. The morphotypic variability is considered based on the study of variations in the structure of the labial and lingual sides of the anterior unpaired loop and structural features of the lingual reentrant angle 4. Thirty-six morphotypes of the structure of the unpaired anterior loop of anteroconid m1 have been revealed using the developed combinatory matrix. The most widespread morphotype on the continent is IIICa, which prevailed in the Late Pleistocene. The features of the morphotypic composition of m1 in the differentiated populations of the reed vole on the Durnovo, De-Livron, and Vera islands (Peter the Great Bay) are determined both by the phenotypic and genotypic characteristics of the founders of the insular populations. The original new habitat conditions must have initiated a high rate of evolution, released hidden diversity, and increased the number of rare morphotypes.
The algorithm is proposed for the automated control of displacement of the load overall center of gravity relative to transversal and/or longitudinal planes of symmetry of the car during railway ...transportation and decision-making about availability of commercial damages upon results of the car wheel weighting under way by the weighting equipment in cluded in the set of equipment of the systems of the automated commercial visual inspection of trains and cars. The baseline data for calculations includes results of the car wheel weighting and relative error of measurement of the loads with scale set during certification, and the car container weight accepted according to the data of the car in the Automated database of the freight car fleet of JSC “RZD”. Algorithm of the automated control of each type of displacement includes calculation of the actual displacement of the overall load center of gravity in the car, minimax assessment of the calculated value with regard to the error of determination of the parameters values used for calculation, and the conditions of decision-making about availability of commercial fault. Algorithm of static modeling of the bogie wheels loads on the rail is presented, in which the probabilities of excess of the regulatory maximum allowable value by the actual displacement are determined by the Monte Carlo method (loads of eight wheels are randomly broken out with assumption that distribution of their values is normal). Results of static modeling along with the analysis of the data from transportation documents and video image of the car with the freight allow the operator of the train and car visual commercial inspection station to make decision about necessity of the car field inspection for establishing the fact of commercial fault. Examples of calculation according to the proposed algorithm are provided for the case of control of displacement of the load overall center of gravity relative to the transversal plane of the car symmetry, including comparison with calculations without taking into account the errors. Proposed algorithm can be used in the automated train and car commercial inspection system under way during railway transportation as the element of the digital intelligent technology of commercial inspection being developed in the JSC “RZD”.
Background. Abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) occurs in one-third of women of reproductive age and has a significant impact on women's lives, causing anemia, impaired social adaptation and professional ...activity.
AUB-O (ovulatory dysfunction) is often caused by an excessive body mass (BM) and obesity (especially visceral). The most effective option for restoring menstrual cycle (MC) in obese women is BM reduction. There is evidence that the combination of inositols myoinositol (MI) and D-chiroinositol (DCI) has a beneficial effect on BM loss, ovulation frequency and getting pregnant in women with polycystic ovary syndrome.
Aim. To study the effect of MI and DHI in a 5:1 ratio in combination with diet and exercise on the regulation of MC in overweight and obese women.
Materials and methods. The study has been conducted in clinics of Moscow, Kazan and Tyumen for 20202021. It is a descriptive study assessing an efficacy of lifestyle modification (diet and exercise) plus a nutritional support with a combination of 1000 mg MI and 200 mg DCI (ratio 5:1) for 24 months in 353 women of reproductive age with AMK-O and overweight or obesity. Efficacy criteria include: MC regularity, BM index (BMI), waist circumference (WC), levels of serum glucose, free testosterone, follicle-stimulating hormone, luteinizing hormone.
Results. The study showed a significant shortening of MC to its physiological duration 3112.04 days (vs 4419.51 days at the 1st visit; p=0.001), a decrease in the rate of heavy bloody vaginal discharge by 2.57 times (p=0.001), an increase in the rate of moderate bloody vaginal discharge by 1,62 times (p=0.001), an increase in the proportion of patients with regular MC by 2.69 times (p=0.001). These changes were accompanied by a decrease in BM (-3 kg; p=0.001), a decrease in WC (-2.5 cm; p=0.001). Laboratory tests revealed a decrease in serum glucose (-1.3 mmol/L; p0.05), free testosterone (-0.4 pg/L; p0.05), luteinizing hormone (-0.8 mIU/ml; p0.05), and an increase in follicle-stimulating hormone (+0.1 mIU/ml; p0.05) levels.
Conclusion. The results obtained (a decrease in BM, a decrease in BMI, WC, as well as MC restoration; p0.05) make it possible to recommend Dikirogen containing MI and DCI in a 5:1 ratio as a part of comprehensive therapy for overweight and obese women with AUB-O.
The current paper first time describes a small Beremendia from the late Pleistocene deposits in the Koridornaya Cave locality (Russian Far East), which associated with the extinct Beremendia minor. ...The paper is the first attempt to use a comparative analytical method to evaluate a possible case of redeposition of fossil remains of this shrew. In this case, the 'comparative' part of the method corresponds to the 'faunistic approach' of Jelle Reumer, and the 'analytical' part of the method corresponds to his extended 'morphological approach. ' The analytic method uses morphospace size estimation (MSE) based on principal component analysis and estimation of the variance to evaluate redeposition of Beremendia minor from the late Pleistocene deposits in the Koridornaya Cave. This result allows us to suggest the significant environmental contribution to the East Asian beremendiin extinction, such as climatic fluctuation, landscape changes and shrew community changes between the late Pliocene and early Pleistocene. We discuss the last remains of East Asian Beremendia (Peisorex) described from the Chinese early Pleistocene localities (Chiachiashan, Haimao, Renzidong) and the last remains of Lunanosorex described from the Chinese late Pliocene localities (Qipanshan Hill and Houxushan Hill). MSE was performed for soricine tribes with the 'elongated' condylar process.
