This research aims to indentify student’s argumentation skill which is seen from argumentation discourse and then it is analyzed using TAP (Toulmin Argumentation Pattern) which consists of some ...components such as data, claim, warrant, backing and rebuttal on the topic of Archimedes Principle. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The result of this research shows based on the written assignment, the student’s scientific argumentation skill is not good. The student often do not use an appropriate argumentation, do not use adequate evidence, or try to straighten their own option or try to apply their own argument.
The study aims to understand teachers' perceptions of scientific argumentation test instruments in physics based on modern test theory using question modelling through Edpuzzle LMS e-learning. It ...employed a mixed method with a Sequential Explanatory Design. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed descriptively. Initially, it was found that 75% of teachers had not developed assessment instruments capable of optimally training students, resulting in 68% of students struggling to understand physics learning. Additionally, 54% of students reported having identified and solved complex physics problems using scientific argumentation, while 46% had not. Based on survey results, 95% of students and teachers agreed that assessment activities encourage scientific argumentation, indicated by identifying scientific issues and explaining scientific phenomena. Hence, there is a need for a physics scientific argumentation test model based on modern test theory. For future research, it is suggested to explore how integrating this test model in different educational settings impacts students' scientific argumentation skills and understanding of physics concepts.
This research aims to analyze and prove the influence of scientific reasoning ability and argumentation performance of students who follow the PjBL-STEM learning model assisted by e-LKPD with ...conventional models in learning Physics class XII IPA SMAN 15 Bandar Lampung. The research design was quasi-experimental (quasi-experimental), and the pretest posttest design was used. The population in this study were all students of class XII IPA. The research sample was determined by random sampling technique. The sample in this study was XII IPA 1 as the control class and class XII IPA 3 as the experimental class. Data was collected using test questions, questionnaire sheets and observation sheets. Hypothesis testing using t test and Manova test. The results showed that there was an effect of scientific reasoning ability and student argumentation performance between students who took the PjBL-STEM learning model assisted by e-LKPD and students who followed the conventional learning model based on the results of the Manova test with an F value from Wilks' Lambda. = 43.208 and the significance value = 0.000. Based on these results, it can be concluded that there is an influence of scientific reasoning ability and argumentation performance of students who follow the PjBL-STEM learning model assisted by e-LKPD with conventional learning models in learning Physics class XII IPA SMA Negeri 15 Bandar Lampung.
This research explored and looked forward to the competencies and objectives of the feasibility of learning designs needed for the post-quarantine era of the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia, ...especially in Papua. The research method used in our study is qualitative which focuses on structural analysis to answer problems in the research found through preliminary studies. Our research sites are located in several educational institutions in Papua. The study population was all students at the elementary, junior high, high school and university levels in Papua, Indonesia. We used a sampling method in the form of a purposive sampling technique. The samples were three academic institutions; SMP N 5 Jayapura, SMA Pembangunan V Yappis, and Universitas Cenderawasih. Research instruments for collecting data were in the form of interview sheets, observation sheets, and questionnaires related to physics learning in the new normal era. The results of the study found that the physics learning design based on local potential in the new normal era can be an alternative for teaching physics concepts contextually. Students can observe the surrounding environment related to local customary culture which is indigenous science and educators represent the report in the form of a connection between the concept of science and local culture.
This study aims to develop an assessment instrument that is able to measure collaboration and problem solving abilities in project-based physics learning that is valid, reliable and practical. This ...type of research is Research Development by adapting 7 stages of development from Borg Gall. Product expert validation was carried out to assess aspects of construction, substance and language, the results of expert validation of the assessment instrument were 87.85% with very valid criteria. As for the analysis of the results of field trials on 64 students using the Rasch model, it was obtained: (1) 21 questions about the collaboration ability instrument and 19 questions about the problem solving ability instrument were declared valid; (2) the reliability value of the collaborative and problem-solving ability assessment instrument is 0.97 and 0.89 (very good category); (3) the average value of the practicality test of the collaboration and solving ability assessment instrument is 81.21 (very high criteria).
This study aims to develop an interactive e-module based on Smart Apps Creator software, focusing on the internalization of soft skills (creativity/innovation, problem-solving, teamwork, and personal ...effectiveness) in understanding the concepts of physics on work and energy material. The research method followed the 4-D development model but was limited to the development stage (Develop). The findings show that the developed e-module is deemed "feasible" based on evaluations by experts and educators, with an average score of 72% from the material experts, 94% from media experts, and 91% from educators. Furthermore, the e-module also received positive feedback from students with a score of 96% (highly feasible category). This study concludes that the developed e-module can be used as a physics learning medium to internalize soft skills. For future research, it is recommended that the effectiveness of this e-module be tested in various learning contexts and different student populations to broaden the understanding of its application and benefits in learning.
The study aims to develop an electronic module based on guided inquiry on Newton's law of gravity material that is valid, practical, and effective. The developed e-module aims to practice critical ...thinking skills in physics learning. This development research uses the ADDIE development method which consists of five steps, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Student response questionnaires to guided inquiry e-modules and tests of critical thinking skills became research instruments. Data analysis presented with quantitative descriptive. The product validity was assessed by 3 experts with an average score of 3.63 with category very valid. The practicality of the product consisted of readability which was tested on 15 high school students in Grade X and the teacher's perception of the suitability of guided inquiry-based learning activities in e-modules by obtaining an average percentage of 90% in the category very practical. The effectiveness of the product is assessed based on students' responses of critical thinking skills are improve after using the e-module by obtaining a product effectiveness percentage of 87% with category very effective. Student response questionnaire showed a positive response to the developed e-module. Based on the analysis of the research results, it is stated that the guided inquiry-based e-module on Newton's law of gravity is valid, practical, and effective for practicing critical thinking skills.
The covid-19 pandemic has changed educational policies regarding learning and teaching methods that were initially conventional and must now be integrated with technology. It takes teaching materials ...that can help students in learning. This study aims to develop an E-student worksheet using the Canva-assisted learning of inquiry sequences (LOIS) learning activity model that can be applied as a physics learning material that can practice hands-on skills, mind-on activities, and science process skills. This study uses research and development research methods. The E-student worksheet development procedure uses the ADDIE development model. The results of the experts show that the average score of the assessment of the E-student worksheet is 3.58, which is included in the very valid criteria. The limited trial of the E-student worksheet on the teacher's perception obtained results of 91% in the very good category, the test results for class XI students could be applied with a very good 88% score. The results of the effectiveness of working on the E-student worksheet obtained an average score of 89% in the highly trained category. It can be concluded that which means the E-student worksheet can train hands-on, minds-on activity, and science process skills.
