The Mover Teacher Program (MTP), released in 2021, is widely regarded as a crucial measure towards achieving substantial transformations in the field of education in Indonesia. The present study aims ...to evaluate the effectiveness of the MTP in Sumbawa Besar City. Through this study, we sought evidence of lessons learnt from the field. To conduct the study, researchers employed a modified version of Kirkpatrick’s evaluation model. Three out of four postulates derived from the model were used to probe the phenomenon under investigation, i.e. (1) teachers’ reaction, (2) learning endeavor and (3) application of knowledge/skills gained. The fourth postulate regarding the assessment of students’ achievement was not included in the study as the MTP program just commenced in the research site. The study employed a qualitative research approach with a multiple-case design. Participants of this study were eight alumni of MTP teachers coming from four different schools. Data were collected through interviews, observations and study of related documents. The data collected were analyzed thematically through data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing and verification. Results of the study show that participants of the study benefitted from participating in the MTP program although they underwent various route of transformational learning. Regardless of disorienting problem in the beginning of the program implementation, participants were able to maintain their new skills and knowledge to improve their own teaching performance and other teachers in the impacted schools. The participants experienced transformation of learning and behavioral change after participating in the long and exhausting MTP program.
The aim of this research is limited to several factors that might cause “the tragedy of the commons” between a principal and a Kepala Sekolah. These factors are 1) cultural background, 2) differences ...in leadership models, and 3) differences in organizational behaviour. The research was conducted using a qualitative method with a single case study research design. The research was undertaken in one location, Sekolah Nusa Alam in Lombok. Data research techniques and procedures were unobstructed observation, semi-structured interviews, and data-checking processes. Interviews were conducted with six people using the purposive sampling method. The data analysis procedure was carried out by collecting the data, reducing the data, presenting the data, and concluding the data. The research showed that the cultural background, leadership model and organizational behaviour could trigger the ‘tragedy of the commons’ between the principal and Kepala Sekolah in Sekolah Nusa Alam. It is concluded that this happens because there is no or no misunderstanding in terms of communication, the application of leadership models and different organizational behaviours that lead to the misunderstanding in the collaboration between the two that trigger “the tragedy of the commons”.
This research aims to describe the management of the NTB Provincial Library and Archives Service to maintain digital services. A qualitative approach with a descriptive research design was used as ...the research method. Observation, interview and documentation techniques were used as data collection tools. Data analysis was done through data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusions drawing. Checking the validity of the data is carried out using credibility, transferability, dependability and confirmability tests. The results of the data analysis show that the NTB Regional Library has attempted to improve its services through careful and measurable program planning. The results of this research also show that 1) The management of the NTB Provincial Library and Archives Service, starting from planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating, is excellent, but it is constrained by the budget to meet the renewal of book collections and adequate infrastructure to facilitate library users; 2) The quality of digital services available at the NTB library service is relatively assured, marked by excellent services provided by the library. The library provided an e-lib application to allow the public to access library resources anywhere and anytime. However, adding more infrastructure must improve the quality of existing services.

To date, the 2013 curriculum has been implemented for almost a decade. But this latest curriculum has not been well-implemented due to many obstacles. Accordingly, plethora studies have been ...extensively carried out to refine the praxis. However, the investigation of this area in junior high schools is underexplored. Thus, this study was carried out to fill this void. This research study aimed to investigate the problems in enacting 2013 Curriculum, to reveal the hindering factors, and to showcase how teachers cope with those problems. Grounded in a case study, nine English teachers of state junior high schools were recruited. Data were collected through observations, documentations, and interviews. The findings confirmed that teachers experienced some delinquent setback in translating curriculum into instruction. This was related to how they teach using suggested teaching stages, integrate intended domains of competence, and conduct authentic assessment. Furthermore, students’ lack of motivation and autonomy was also a sizeable impediment. In relation to this, some hindering factors and teachers’ endeavours to cope with the abovementioned problems were also elaborated systematically. To end this article, some practical recommendations were proposed accordingly.
The synthetic plastics that made from petroleum material have been widely used in all industrial sectors. They cause some serious problems for the environment. There are semi-synthetic plastics or ...biodegradable plastics which are made from natural polymers such as cellulose to mitigate this problem. Biodegradable plastics can fulfill the needs of society because they can be decomposed easily into the environment. This research used laboratory experimental methods through several processes: kapok fiber isolation, cellulose acetate production and purification, and manufacture of bioplastics. The characteristics of bioplastics was analyzed using some parameters such as density, tensile strength, elongation, Young's modulus, water absorption, biodegradability, compound group analysis using Fouier-Transform Infrared Spectrometer (FTIR) and bioplastic morphology analysis by using Scanning electrone microscopy (SEM). This study aimed to determine the effect of the plasticizer type and concentration on the bioplastics characteristics that was divided into several different concentrations of glycerol and sorbitol plasticizers (20%, 30%, and 40%). The fabrication of composite bioplastics used the cellulose acetat from kapok fiber, starch, and types of plasticizer (glycerol, and sorbitol). The results of the study showed that the addition of different plasticizers, such as glycerol and sorbitol gave distinct effects on the bioplastics product characteristics. The optimum concentration of glycerol addition affected the bioplastic characteristics with the best results were 40% concentration generate density of 0.836 g/mL, tensile strength of 0.818 MPa, water absorption value of 22.23%, and degradation plastic mass about 39.7%. The addition of sorbitol also affected the bioplastic characteristics, where the best results were 40% concentration produced bioplastic density of 0.941 g/mL, percent elongation at 3.94%, young’s modulus of 0.726 MPa, and degradarion mass of 32.05%. The morphology of bioplastic showed the high homogeneity on concentrations of 40% glycerol and 30% sorbitol.
The diversity of customs and culture of the people of Sumbawa is not widely known to foreign and domestic visitors because of the unavailability of tourism literacy products. This study aims to ...analyze and describe sources of tourism literacy in Sumbawa Island, focusing on providing information pertaining to tradition, daily life, history, and community perspectives. This current issue has not been explored as a potential source for developing tourism literacy. The present study employed a descriptive, qualitative methodology with an ethnographic design. The study finds that stakeholders in the Samota area still lack written literacy sources for official information for visitors visiting Sumbawa. This lack of literacy sources makes visitors unaware of each destination's conditions and customary rules. The study concludes that the development of tourism literacy at the research location needs to be done immediately by involving the community of tourism actors to ensure compatibility between government programs and sustainable community-based tourism development. While the direct link between tourism literacy and scientific research may not be immediately evident, the present study can contribute to a deeper understanding of cultural preservation, public engagement, economic support, and knowledge exchange in various disciplines.
