This study aimed to identify genes with significant alteration following treatment of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR)-mutant non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with tyrosine kinase inhibitors ...(TKIs).
We downloaded microarray data of GSE67051 from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database. Genes with differential expression were identified in two groups: erlotinib-treated versus DMSO-treated PC9 cells and erlotinib-treated versus DMSO-treated HCC827 cells. Functional enrichment analysis and protein-protein interaction (PPI) network were performed on the overlapping differentially expressed genes (DEGs). Additionally, miRNAs that can regulate the DEGs were predicted. Small-molecule drugs, with possible synergistic or antagonistic actions with respect to erlotinib, were screened; data validation using another dataset was conducted.
In total, 1466 and 839 DEGs were identified in the aforementioned comparison groups, respectively, among which 267 overlapping up-regulated and 73 down-regulated were observed. The overlapping up- and down-regulated genes were significantly associated with different functions and pathways. ITGA2 had higher centrality scores in the PPI network. Seventy small-molecule drugs, with either possible synergistic or antagonistic roles with erlotinib, were identified. Moreover, up-regulated YPEL1, YPEL2, and YPEL5 were enriched in the miRNA-target regulatory network. Implementing data validation, we found YPEL1, YPEL5, and ITGA2 displayed similar expression profiles in the two datasets.
YPEL1 and YPEL5 may be related to the action of erlotinib, and down-regulation of ITGA2 may be associated with the development of acquired resistance to erlotinib in EGFR-mutant NSCLCs. Furthermore, several small-molecule drugs that may have synergistic and antagonistic roles with erlotinib were identified.
•Up-regulated YPEL1 and YPEL5 were enriched in the miRNA-target regulatory network.•YPEL1, YPEL5, and ITGA2 showed similar expression profiles in the validated dataset.•Several drugs may have synergistic and antagonistic roles with erlotinib.•Down-regulation of ITGA2 may be associated with the development of acquired resistance.
Under the environment of rapid development of e-commerce platforms and Internet technology, consumers are more and more inclined to online shopping. This paper takes consumers’ perceived value as the ...main research object and adds platform attributes, such as function, content, brand, etc. The main factors affecting perceived usefulness, perceived entertainment, and perceived risk construct a theoretical model of the factors affecting consumers’ willingness to buy in cross-border e-commerce live streaming. In order to further analyze the importance of the factors influencing consumer purchase intention in cross-border e-commerce live streaming, this paper constructs a prediction model based on random forest according to the evolution of consumer purchase intention and the prediction of consumer purchase intention. Consumers’ perceived value of cross-border e-commerce platforms is not affected by perceived risk, as shown by the regression and prediction analyses. Perceived usefulness and perceived entertainment are affected by platform attributes accordingly. Cross-border e-commerce live streaming has the most significant impact on consumers’ willingness to buy, with platform features accounting for 17% of all influencing factors. The role of platform function in consumers’ purchase intention in cross-border e-commerce live streaming is demonstrated in this study.
Nanoplastics as emerging pollutants have caused growing concerns and posed potential threats to the environment. Nonetheless, only few studies investigated transport behaviors of nanoplastics in ...natural soils. In this study, column experiments were conducted to investigate the effect of soil properties, ionic strength and cation type on the transport of polystyrene nanoplastics (PSNPs) in a desert soil (DS), a black soil (BS) and a red soil (RS). The effluent recovery of PSNPs in three soils followed the order of DS (0%–96.8%) > BS (0%–87.5%) > RS (0%). The retention of PSNPs was positively correlated with Fe/Al oxides contents (DS: Fe-2.69%, Al-12.6%; BS: Fe-4.04%, Al-15.9%; RS: Fe-6.57%, Al-26.9%), whereas negatively correlated with soil pH (DS: 9.75; BS: 6.57; RS: 4.97). Soil minerals and pH were thus identified as the crucial soil properties determining transport of PSNPs, due to their coupled effects on surface charges to affect electrostatic interactions between soils and PSNPs. In addition, increasing solution ionic strength strongly inhibited the transport of PSNPs in the DS (0%–96.8%) and BS (0%–87.5%). Ca2+ (IS: 1–5 mM) was more pronounced in enhancing PSNP retention than Na+ (IS: 1–20 mM). Our findings highlight that the transport and fate of PSNPs in natural soils are highly sensitive to soil physicochemical properties, ionic strength and cation type, and reveal that nanoplastics have strong mobility ability in soils with high pH and low Fe/Al oxides contents, which may pose potential risks to the soil and groundwater environment.

•Posttraumatic growth (PTG) is positive psychological changes after encountering challenging events. PTG can buffer the negative effects caused by distress and depression.•The prevalence of ...moderate-to-high PTG in people who experienced suffering traumatic events was 52.58%.•People whose age was younger than 60 had shorter time since trauma had specific professional exposure and suffered from direct trauma reported high rate of moderate-to-high PTG.
Posttraumatic growth (PTG) is positive psychological changes after encountering challenging events. The main purpose of this meta-analysis was to summarize the prevalence of moderate-to-high PTG in people who experienced traumatic events and to understand what social-demographic and trauma characteristics distinguish those who show a high rate of PTG from those of low level.
Six electronic databases were searched. Loney's appraisal criteria were used to evaluate the quality of studies. Freeman-Turkey double arcsine transformation method was used to calculate the combined prevalence. Age, time since event, type of trauma and trauma form were analyzed as subgroup factors. According to the source of the trauma, the type of trauma was divided into three different categories: disease, accident and specific profession. Specific profession refers to firefighters, veterans, intensive care staff, etc. The complex working environment, irregular lifestyle, various unpredictable factors, as well as the frequently adverse stimuli from others contribute to great physical and mental pressure.
Twenty-six articles were deemed as qualified for this systematic review and meta-analysis. The level of PTG across studies ranged from 10% to 77.3%, and heterogeneity tests showed high heterogeneity (I2 = 92.3%, 95%CI = 90.1%-94.0%, p < 0.01). Random effect model was chosen to calculate the combined prevalence and the prevalence was 52.58% (95%CI = 48.66%-56.48%). People whose age was younger than 60,had shorter time since trauma, worked in a specific profession and suffered from direct trauma reported high rate of moderate-to-high PTG.
Because the included studies haven't provided adequate PTG-related information, these factors could not be used to performed subgroup analyses. In addition, some studies were excluded due to the different standard may lead to deviation of the combined prevalence.
Nearly half of the investigated individuals reported moderate-to-high PTG after experiencing a traumatic event. Future research needs to further study the determinants of PTG to provide relevant interventions for the victims of trauma.
This study narrows its focus to the Yangtze River Delta, an important region in China known for its advancements in both digital economy and low-carbon technology. In contrast to previous studies, we ...also examine the heterogeneous effects between central and non-central cities, as well as the role of local financial development, when analyzing the impact of the digital economy on low-carbon innovation. Based on the data of 41 cities from 2011 to 2019, we find a significant direct promoting effect of the digital economy on low-carbon innovation. Furthermore, the development of the digital economy indirectly enhances low-carbon innovation through local financial development. The heterogeneous analysis reveals a positive impact of the digital economy on low-carbon innovation in both central and non-central cities, with a stronger effect observed in non-central cities. These findings suggest several policy recommendations, including promoting digital economy and finance, green finance, and fostering regional integration in the Yangtze River Delta.

Mental disorders and neurological diseases are becoming a rapidly increasing medical burden. Although extensive studies have been conducted, the progress in developing effective therapies for these ...diseases has still been slow. The current dilemma reminds us that the human being is a superorganism. Only when we take the human self and its partner microbiota into consideration at the same time, can we better understand these diseases. Over the last few centuries, the partner microbiota has experienced tremendous change, much more than human genes, because of the modern transformations in diet, lifestyle, medical care, and so on, parallel to the modern epidemiological transition. Existing research indicates that gut microbiota plays an important role in this transition. According to gut-brain psychology, the gut microbiota is a crucial part of the gut-brain network, and it communicates with the brain via the microbiota-gut-brain axis. The gut microbiota almost develops synchronously with the gut-brain, brain, and mind. The gut microbiota influences various normal mental processes and mental phenomena, and is involved in the pathophysiology of numerous mental and neurological diseases. Targeting the microbiota in therapy for these diseases is a promising approach that is supported by three theories: the gut microbiota hypothesis, the "old friend" hypothesis, and the leaky gut theory. The effects of gut microbiota on the brain and behavior are fulfilled by the microbiota-gut-brain axis, which is mainly composed of the nervous pathway, endocrine pathway, and immune pathway. Undoubtedly, gut-brain psychology will bring great enhancement to psychology, neuroscience, and psychiatry. Various microbiota-improving methods including fecal microbiota transplantation, probiotics, prebiotics, a healthy diet, and healthy lifestyle have shown the capability to promote the function of the gut-brain, microbiota-gut-brain axis, and brain. It will be possible to harness the gut microbiota to improve brain and mental health and prevent and treat related diseases in the future.
In this digital era, social media plays a significant role in information distribution. Health information sharing behavior is an essential component of information exchange, which has become one of ...the key research fields in health communication. Yet, knowledge about the influence factors of health information sharing behavior in social media remains limited. Hence, drawing from the theory of planned behavior (TPB), uses and gratifications (U&G), and social cognitive theory (SCT), this study explored the impact factors of health information sharing intention and behavior. To examine the research model, an online survey was drawn up and administered to 412 WeChat users. The results of structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis revealed that the research model fits the data well. Our finding indicated that these factors impact users' health information sharing behavior on WeChat via their attitude, subjective norm, perceived self-efficacy, and behavioral intention in various patterns. It was found that three factors positively influence both attitude toward behavior and subjective norm: status seeking, social interaction, and norm of reciprocity. We also found that social support has positive effects on the subjective norm within the context of health information sharing, but the critical mass has no effect on the subjective norm. Moreover, we found that entertainment is not the impact factor for users' attitude toward behavior, but information needs. Overall, this study not only enriched the existing literature on health information sharing behavior and presents a new integrated conceptual model to explain multiple variables that affect WeChat users' sharing behavior regards to health information, but also provides important theoretical and practical implications regarding motivating public participation through information sharing on social media in health communication.
Major depression is one of the leading causes of disability, morbidity, and mortality worldwide. The brain⁻gut axis functions are disturbed, revealed by a dysfunction of the brain, immune system, ...endocrine system, and gut. Traditional depression treatments all target the brain, with different drugs and/or psychotherapy. Unfortunately, most of the patients have never received any treatment. Studies indicate that gut microbiota could be a direct cause for the disorder. Abnormal microbiota and the microbiota⁻gut⁻brain dysfunction may cause mental disorders, while correcting these disturbance could alleviate depression. Nowadays, the gut microbiota modulation has become a hot topic in treatment research of mental disorders. Depression is closely related with the health condition of the brain⁻gut axis, and maintaining/restoring the normal condition of gut microbiota helps in the prevention/therapy of mental disorders.

Solvent resistant nanofiltration (SRNF) technology is an energy efficient and environmentally friendly alternative to purify alcohol-based mixtures, but there exists a challenge in overcoming the ...trade-off between membrane flux and rejection. Herein, as the representative of the emerging family of MXenes, Ti3C2Tx nanosheets with abundant –OH groups are chosen as nanofillers to prepare SRNF composite membrane after being incorporated into two typical polymer matrixes: hydrophilic polyethyleneimine (PEI) and hydrophobic polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS). Systematic characterizations and measurements suggest that the uniformly dispersed Ti3C2Tx nanosheets enhance the thermal/mechanical stabilities and solvent resistance for both polymer-based membranes through steric effects and/or interfacial interactions. Besides, the horizontally-lied Ti3C2Tx nanosheets give significant promotion on the transfer of alcohol molecules by providing additional pathways along nanosheet surface using –OH as adsorption site. Particularly, they afford improvements of alcohol flux as high as 30% to PEI-based membrane and 162% to PDMS-based membrane. Meanwhile, the rejection abilities are dramatically improved with MWCOs below 200Da due to the blockage of solute transfer by the nanosheets. These results indicate that the trade-off between alcohol flux and solute rejection is readily overcome. The transfer properties of weak- or non-polar solvents and the long-term operation stability of membranes are also explored.
