An improved cost proxy model is established in the following, where the extreme imbalance between urban and rural area as well as complicated geographic environment of China was taken into ...consideration. On the one hand, new parameters were introduced into scene variant vector so as to prescribe urban and rural differences and also topographical differences. On the other hand, in order to analyze network cost rather than business cost, original agent factors such as labor and capital price multiplexers are weakened, while scene vector which embodies region area, average density, average commitment bandwidth per user etc., were highlighted. Based on the improved cost proxy model, we built the China IP network cost optimization model employing engineering approach, and cost functions were then obtained through econometric analysis on a large number of simulation data. The results verify scope economies of telecommunications network cost, and prove the fact from the empirical point of view that IP voice service, whose bandwidth demand is much less than broadband access service, has to cross-subsidize the latter one. The conclusions provide both operators and regulation agencies with theoretical basis for development of IP voice services charges and implement of price control.

To develop integrated and flexible MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) based on Agency and SOA (Service Oriented Architecture), after the definition of agent, the hierarchical structure of ...manufacturing management-control system with three layers has been presented. The core layer is the MES layer which includes nine Function Agencies. Each Function Agency consists of four types of agents with different functionalities. In this architecture, the Web Service is adopted to realize the communication between agents and the Market Mechanism is adopted to serve as control for interaction behavior among agents. The objectives of this paper is to illustrate the architecture of integrated and flexible MES with the purposes of integrating legacy systems together with MES, response rapid to a fluctuating market, flexibility and reconfiguration of the MES, the function of detailed planning, and the approach how a web services-based SOA supports our MES.
With the rapid development of information technology and the gradual extension of information technology to enterprise, ERP systems become more and more complex and some new requirements that focus ...on both manufacturing activities and the supply chain are brought forward. To address these problems, a MAERP system architecture based on agent and SOA has been developed. To illustrate the architecture, an experiment system has been proposed in detail. This simulation implied that the architecture provides a very efficient method to design ERP systems for small & medium-size Enterprises with the purposes of flexibility to achieve the business agility, reusability of the intelligent component, and cooperation between application systems to assure a global optimization. The objectives of this paper is to illustrate the architecture of ERP systems based on agent for small & medium-size Enterprises, and the approach of how a web services-based SOA supports our MAERP system.
