In this paper, a tunable filter with constant fractional bandwidth is designed and fabricated on ε
r
= 2.2, h = 0.508 mm duroid substrates. A new mixed electrical and magnetic coupling scheme is ...introduced by this structure to achieve an overall constant coupling coefficient during the tuning range, which can meet the requirement of constant fractional bandwidth. A detailed analysis on the external quality (Q
ext
) and coupling coefficient is presented. Two-chip capacitors (C
M
= 1 pF), using radio frequency (RF) and microwave capacitors, were used to enhance Q
ext
. The Q
ext
(22 ± 3) shows a relatively small variation over the entire tuning range. The tunable constant fractional-bandwidth filter shows a tuning range of 1.28-1.86 GHz, a 3-dB bandwidth of 5.3 ± 0.6% and an insertion loss of 5.11-2.69 dB. The measured and simulation results are in a good agreement.
In a base solution containing 10g/L sodium hydroxide and 12g/L phytic acid, the influence of sodium silicate concentration on the formation and properties of anodic coatings obtained by micro arc ...oxidation (MAO) on magnesium alloys was systematically studied. The results demonstrate that sodium silicate can increase the solution conductivity, decrease the final voltage and change the coating color. Amorphous magnesium silicate is detected and the silicon content in the coatings continually increases with the increasing of sodium silicate concentration. Silicate ions can simultaneously combine with magnesium and aluminum ions to develop anodic coatings, while phytic acid radicals preferentially react with magnesium ions. Sodium silicate can further improve the corrosion resistance of MAO treated magnesium and the coating shows the best corrosion resistance in the base solution with 10g/L sodium silicate.
► Sodium silicate can change the coating color. ► Silicate ions combine with magnesium and aluminum ions to develop anodic coatings. ► Sodium silicate competes with phytic acid for taking part in coating formation. ► Sodium silicate improves the corrosion resistance of MAO treated magnesium alloys.
Multipartite quantum entanglement is a key resource for ensuring security in quantum network. We show that by using a unified parameter in terms of reduced noise variances one can determine different ...types of tripartite entanglement of a given state generated in a hybrid optomechanical system, where an atomic ensemble is located inside a single-mode cavity with a movable mirror, with different thresholds for each type. In particular, the special quantum states which allow both entanglement and steering genuinely shared among atom-light-mirror modes can be observed, even though there is no direct interaction between the mirror and the atomic ensemble. We further show the robustness against mechanical thermal noise and damping, the relaxation time of atomic ensemble, as well as the effect of gain factors involved in the criteria. Our analysis provides an experimentally achievable method to determine the type of tripartite quantum correlation in a way.
Porcine deltacoronavirus (PDCoV) and porcine sapelovirus (PSV) are two viruses that can cause diarrhoea in pigs and bring great economic loss to the pig industry. In this research, a duplex real-time ...quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) assay based on SYBR Green I was developed to simultaneously detect PDCoV and PSV. No specific melting peaks were found in other porcine diarrhoea-associated viruses, indicating that the method developed in this study had good specificity. The detection limits of PDCoV and PSV were 1.0 × 101 copies μl-1 and 1.0 × 102 copies μl-1, respectively. The duplex real-time qPCR assay tested two hundred and three (203) intestinal and faecal samples collected from diarrhoeal and asymptomatic pigs. The positive rates of PDCoV and PSV were 20.2% and 23.2%, respectively. The co-infection rate of PDCoV and PSV was 13.8%. To evaluate the accuracy of the developed method, conventional PCR and singular TaqMan real-time qPCR assays for PDCoV/PSV were also used to detect the samples. The results showed that the duplex real-time qPCR assay was consistent with the singular assays, but its sensitivity was higher than conventional PCR methods. This duplex real-time qPCR assay provides a rapid, sensitive and reliable method in a clinic to simultaneously detect PDCoV and PSV.
Abstract
Background
Sudden cardiac death (SCD) occurs in a broad spectrum of cardiac pathologies and is an important cause of mortality in the general population. Idiopathic ventricular fibrillation ...(IVF) is a rare but important factor resulting in SCD. It is diagnosed in a resuscitated cardiac arrest victim underlying unknown cause, with documented ventricular fibrillation. Previous studies have demonstrated that mutations in dipeptidyl aminopeptidase-like protein-6 (DPP6) and cardiac sodium channel Nav1.5 (SCN5A) are the most important genetic factors involve in IVF.
Aim
By using whole sequencing to identify the genetic lesion of a family with suspicious idiopathic ventricular fibrillation
Design
Prospective genetic study.
Methods
In this study, we employed whole-exome sequencing in combination with arrhythmia-related gene filtering to identify the genetic lesion for a family suffering from suspicious IVF, syncope and SCD. We then generated the plasmids of DPP6-pcDNA3.1+ (WT and c.1578G>C/p.Q526H). Kv4.3-pcDNA3.1+ was co-transfected together with/without DPP6-pcDNA3.1+ (WT and/or c.1578G>C/p.Q526H) into HEK293 cells to perform the patch clamp experiments.
Results
A novel missense mutation (c.1578G>C/p.Q526H) of DPP6 was identified and co-segregated with affected patients in this family. Patch clamp experiments suggested that this novel mutation might result in a gain of function and disturb the efflux of potassium ion.
Conclusion
Our study not only reported the second missense mutation of DPP6 in heart disease and expanded the spectrum of DPP6 mutations, but also contribute to the genetic diagnosis and counseling of families with suspicious IVF, syncope and SCD.
Abstract
Due to the acceleration of urbanization, many green spaces are facing the fate of abandonment, especially the urban and suburban green space. In Japan, these suburban green spaces can also ...be used as a Satoyama. Satoyama is a multi-purpose ecosystem, including some secondary forests, farmlands, lakes, marshes, and so on. They are affected by human beings and benefited each other. It is proof of harmonious coexistence that human beings have been groping for in nature since ancient times. This study collected the records of the Satoyama activity group in Matsudo City, Chiba Prefecture, Japan from 2008 to 2019, and used KHCoder3 to mine the characters. The purpose of this study was to identify that it is found that people use suburban green space in variety nowadays through the activities of volunteers in Satoyama. From the records, the green space has a series of changing stages after becoming Satoyama, in which 2008-2011 is the first stage, and 2016-2019 is the other stage, but 2012, 2014, and 2015 were grouped separately. In addition to the daily maintenance of the forest, there were also some special words that can be seen that people attach great importance to the publicity of Satoyama as a place for Children’s environmental education. For the future, Satoyama activities can afford good references to urban green space multi-function, maintain ecological balance, and keeping sustainable development.
Clozapine is frequently used to treat schizophrenia in China. Maintenance treatment for clinically stable patients with schizophrenia is usually provided by Chinese primary care physicians, but no ...study has investigated the frequency of its use prescribed by primary care physicians. This study described the frequency, demographic and clinical characteristics of clozapine treatment and its impact on insight and quality of life (QOL) of patients with schizophrenia treated in primary care in China.
A total of 623 patients with schizophrenia treated in 22 primary care services in Guangzhou, China in 2013 formed the study sample. Patients' socio-demographic and clinical characteristics including psychopathology, medication side effects and QOL were recorded using a standardized protocol and data collection.
The frequency of clozapine prescription was 35.6% with a mean daily dose of 127.7±88.2 mg. There were no significant differences between the patients with and without clozapine in either of the QOL domains after controlling the confounding factors. Multiple logistic regression analyses revealed that patients on clozapine had younger age of onset, more hospitalizations, more severe extrapyramidal side effects, but better insight and fewer prescriptions of first generation antipsychotics.
Clozapine use was found to be common and associated with better insight in patients with schizophrenia treated in primary care in China. Further examination of the rationale and appropriateness of clozapine in primary care in China is warranted.
