대리점과 주유소에 정유사가 공급하는 휘발유의 공급가격의 동태적 가격조정을 오차수정모형을 이용하여 추정하고 분석하였다. 자사의 가격과 비용의 변화에 대한 비대칭적 가격조정을 추정하였을 뿐만 아니라, 타정유사 공급가격의 균형이탈에 대한 정유사 공급가격의 조정을 모형에 허용함으로써 정유사간 가격경쟁의 가능성도 살펴보았다. 추정 결과 다음과 같은 사실들을 찾아낼 ...수 있었다. 첫째, 정유사의 휘발유 공급가격은 환율과 국제제품가격에 대해 비대칭적 조정을 하고 있으나, 서로 반대방향의 조정이 나타나고 있다. 둘째, 정유사 공급가격은 자사가격의 균형이탈에 대해 신속한 가격조정을 하며, 비대칭적 조정을 하는 정유사도 발견되었다. 셋째, 타정유사 균형가격이탈에 대해 반응하여 가격을 조정하는 정유사들이 존재하며, 일부주유소 공급가격에서는 타정유사 균형가격이탈에 대해서 경쟁적 가격조정이 나타났다. 이러한 결과들은 개별 정유사가 자기 고유의 가격비탄력적인 수요를 직면하고 있으며, 가격수준을 유지하기 위한 단기적 가격조정을 하는 암묵적 담합에 부합하는 가격조정 행태를 취하고 있으며, 일부 정유사의 주유소 공급가격의 경우에는 타사 가격변화에 경쟁적 가격조정을 하고 있음을 나타내는 것으로 볼 수 있다. 이는 휘발유시장의 가격경쟁을 유도하려는 정책을 고려한다면, 주유소시장부터 가격 경쟁적 환경을 조성하는 것이 경쟁촉진에 효과적일 수 있음을 시사한다.
This paper uses the error correction model to analyse dynamic gasoline price adjustments of the four refiners. Unlike the existing studies, this model allows a refiner`s asymmetric adjustment to changes in the other refiners` prices as well as in its own price and costs. With the estimation results, we can obtain the following findings. First, there are the asymmetric price adjustments to changes in exchange rate and international gasoline price, but showing opposing directions. Second, for most of the refiners, the prices respond immediately to the lagged deviation from the long run equilibrium price, but asymmetrically respond for a few refiners. Third, there are some refiners that adjust their price to the other refiners` price deviation from the long run equilibrium. For some refiners, there are competitive price adjustments to the others` price deviations. These findings imply that a refiner faces inelastic demand, intends to maintain implicitly a relative level of its own price to others, and tends to respond competitively to the others` price deviation from the equilibrium.
Aggregated neurofibrillary tangles (NFTs) are a pathological hallmark in Alzheimer's disease (AD) and many radiopharmaceuticals targeting NFTs have been developed so far. Among these, 18Fflortaucipir ...(TAUVIDTM) is the first approved radiopharmaceutical in the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to image tau pathology. In the present study, we describe the optimized radiosynthetic method for the routine production of 18F flortaucipir using a commercialized automation module (i.e. GE TRACERlabTM FXFN pro). 18FFlortaucipir was prepared by nucleophilic substitution from its N-tert-butoxycarbonyl protected nitro precursor, tertbutyl 7-(6-nitropyridin-3-yl)-5H-pyrido4,3-bindole-5-carboxylate, at 130℃ for 10 min in dimethyl sulfoxide. The mean radiochemical yield was 20 ± 4.3% (decay-corrected, n = 47) with the molar activity of 218 ± 32 GBq/µmol at the end of synthesis. The radiochemical purity was determined to be above 95%. The overall production time including quality control is approximately 100min. The final produced 18Fflortaucipir injection meets the USP criteria for quality control. Thus, this fully automated system is validated for clinical use.
As lithium ion cells dominate the battery market, the performance improvement is an utmost concern among developers and researchers. Conductive additives are routinely employed to enhance electrode ...conductivity and capacity. Carbon particulates - graphite or carbon black powders - are conventional and popular choices as conductive fillers. However, percolation requirements of particles demand significant volumetric content of impalpable, and thereby high area conductive fillers. As might be expected, the electrode active surface area escalates unnecessarily, resulting in overall increase in reaction with electrolytes and organic solvents. The increased reactions usually manifest as an irreversible loss of anode capacity, gradual oxidation and consumption of electrolyte on the cathode - which causes capacity decline during cycling - and an increased threat to battery safety by gas evolution and exothermic solvent oxidation. In this work we have utilized high aspect ratio, flexible, micronic metal fibers as low active area and high conductivity additives. The metal fibers appear well dispersed within the electrode and to satisfy percolation requirements very efficiently at very low volumetric content compared to conventional carbon-based conductive additives. Results from 18650-type cells indicate significant enhancements in electrode capacity and high rate capability while the irreversible capacity loss is negligible.
Primary and final energy consumption in South Korea was marked by rapid growth in the early 1990s, impacted by the 1997 financial crisis, and is currently recovering. Energy forecasts for the 2000-05 ...period project energy demand growth to be slower than assumed economic growth. A continued decline in oil share in total energy demand is also indicated, as is increased gas demand. Factors expected to impact future energy demand in South Korea are addressed, including public utility restructuring and privatization, domestic energy price reform, and world oil prices.
Does retail gasoline price respond to a change in international gasoline price asymmetrically? If it does, what causes this asymmetric price change? The existence of market power in the gasoline ...market could be one of the reasons for asymmetric price adjustment. Using weekly price data for gas stations in South Korea, we explore the existence of an asymmetric margin adjustment in the retail gasoline market and ask if the asymmetric adjustment could be explained by the difference in competition intensity. Our results show that the response of retail margins to international gasoline price changes is asymmetric. To see if the difference in competition intensity causes this asymmetric behavior, we compared the margin adjustment of gas stations located in urban and rural areas. We find that the difference in competition intensity may explain the different asymmetric behaviors in the retail gasoline market in South Korea. KCI Citation Count: 0
We propose an object detection method for monitoring the cattle in the shed. We attach a color marker on the cattle and capture video from a camera on the frame in the shed. First we analyse the ...color distribution of the shed environment and determine the color of marker being complementary of those of the shed. Then we detect the marker from the natural scene of the video using an algorithm based primarily on Hue, Saturation, Value (HSV) channel, and Filtering method.
This paper investigates how oil price changes have an impact on the Korean manufacturing production activities. For this investigation, we use a structural VAR motel to estimate impulse response ...functions of industrial production, producer price and export price to an oil price increase over manufacturing industries. It finds that in most manufacturing industries, an oil price increase leads to decreases in industrial productions and domestic prices except energy intensive industries, but to increases in industrial export prices except non-metallic (26), computers and offic machinery (30), electronic components, radio, television and communication (32) industries. This result explains that an oil price increase makes negative impacts on the manufacturing production activities not only through demand slowdown in the domestic markets but also through supply contraction in the export markets. 우리나라와 같이 수출주도형 산업구조를 가진 국가에서는 해외시장과의 밀접한 연계로 인하여 해외시장이 국내 경제활동에 충격을 전달하는 경로가 될 가능성이 높다. 본고에서는 우리나라에서 유가의 변동이 국내시장과 수출시장을 통하여 어떻게 전달되는지를 설명하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 4개의 거시경제변수와 개별 제조업의 산업생산, 국내생산자가격, 수출가격을 포함하여 유가상승에 따른 개별 산업활동의 충격반응함수를 구조적 VAR모형을 이용하여 추정하였다. 이로부터 에너지다소비업종을 제외한 대부분의 제조업에서는 유가상승 후 생산감소와 가격하락이 나타났고, 비금속광물제품(26), 컴퓨터 사무용기기(30), 전자부품 영상 음향 통신장비(32)를 제외하고는 유가상승에 대하여 수출가격이 상승하는 것으로 추정되었다. 이는 국내시장에서 유가상승이 수요충격의 경로로 확산되고 있으나, 수출시장에서는 공급충격의 경로가 존재하고 있어, 대체로 우리나라 제조업은 유가상승에 대하여 이중적 부담을 안고 있는 것으로 설명할 수 있다.
