Study of reliability algorithms for large-scale and complicated ventilation networks is one of the hotspot research areas in this field both at home and abroad. At present, there is too much operand ...caused by combination explosion in determining ventilation network reliability; computing network reliability by using disjoint principle is one of the most efficient methods but it can not quickly determine the reliability of large-scale networks. Considering this problem, we adopt a new method of direct constructing disjoint paths, at the same time, combine the truncation error theory with network simplification technology, and propose a new algorithm for determining the reliabilities of large-scale ventilation networks. The application effect of ESR is perfect. The reliability of the ventilation network (with 189 branches) of NO.2 mine area of Jinchuan Company can be determined in 24 second by ESR algorithm provided in the paper, so the problem that can not be solved in 10 hours is solved in the paper.
Carthamus tinctorius L. is a traditional Chinese medicine with the effect of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis. HSYA (hydroxysafflor yellow A) is the main effective component of ...Carthamus tinctorius L. In order to study the inhibitory effects of HSYA against PMN (polymorphonuclear) activation induced by LPS (lipopolysaccharide), rabbit PMN adhesion potency which was activated by LPS through colorimetry method was observed. Cellular free calcium concentration was determined by fluorescence spectrophotometry. RT-PCR was applied to study the effect of HSYA on PMN TNF-alpha and IL-6 mRNA expression; The inhibition of HSYA on NF-kappaB activation was monitored with immunofluorescence. The results showed that after treated with HSYA, the increase of adhesion potency (HSYA dose 1.01 x 10(-4) mol x L(-1)), free calcium concentration (HSYA dose 3.1 x 10(-5) mol x L(-1)), TNF-alpha and IL-6 mRNA expression elevation (HSYA dose 5.2 x 10(-1) mol x L(-1)) induced by LPS were inhibited. HSYA can inhibit
The aim of the current study was to localize the epileptic focus and characterize its causal relation with other brain regions, to understand the cognitive deficits in children with benign childhood ...epilepsy with centrotemporal spikes (BECTS). Resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) was performed in 37 children with BECTS and 25 children matched for age, sex and educational achievement. We identified the potential epileptogenic zone (EZ) by comparing the amplitude of low frequency fluctuation (ALFF) of spontaneous blood oxygenation level dependent fMRI signals between the groups. Granger causality analysis was applied to explore the causal effect between EZ and the whole brain. Compared with controls, children with BECTS had significantly increased ALFF in the right postcentral gyrus and bilateral calcarine, and decreased ALFF in the left anterior cingulate cortex, bilateral putaman/caudate, and left cerebellum. ALFF values in the putaman/caudate were positively correlated with verbal IQ scores in patients. The ALFF values in cerebellum and performance IQ scores were negatively correlated in patients. These results suggest that ALFF disturbances in the putaman/caudate and cerebellum play an important role in BECTS cognitive dysfunction. Compared with controls, the patients showed increased driving effect from the EZ to the right medial frontal cortex and posterior cingulate cortex and decreased causal effects from the EZ to left inferior frontal gyrus. The causal effect of the left inferior frontal gyrus negatively correlated with disease duration, which suggests a relation between the epileptiform activity and language impairment. All together, these findings provide additional insight into the neurophysiological mechanisms of epilepitogenisis and cognitive dysfunction associated with BECTS.

A method for the determination of 2-methylisoborneol (MIB) and geosmin (GSM) in water was developed by solid phase microextraction (SPME) coupled with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS). The ...best extraction conditions were as follows: water bath heating (The level of water surface in bath was set at the same level of sample), extraction temperature of 65 degree C and extraction time of 30 min. The method was highly sensitive, better precisive and accuracy based on GC-MS results. The correlative coefficients for MIB and GSM were both over 0.999; detection limits and RSD were 0.2 ng/L, 0.3 ng/L and 5.8%, 3.2% respectively; recoveries of spiked respectively were 102.0% and 101.7%. The method can be used to detect MIB and GSM in water.
In this work, 4-layered SiO
/Bi
Te
/SiO
/Cu film structures were designed and fabricated and the optical properties investigated in the wavelength region of 250-1200 nm for their promising ...applications for direct solar-thermal-electric conversion. A typical 4-layered film sample with the structure SiO
(66.6 nm)/Bi
Te
(7.0 nm)/SiO
(67.0 nm)/Cu (>100.0 nm) was deposited on a Si or K9-glass substrate by magnetron sputtering. The experimental results agree well with the simulated ones showing an average optical absorption of 96.5%, except in the shorter wavelength region, 250-500 nm, which demonstrates the superior absorption property of the 4-layered film due to the randomly rough surface of the Cu layer resulting from the higher deposition power. The high reflectance of the film structure in the long wavelength region of 2-20 μm will result in a low thermal emittance, 0.064 at 600 K. The simpler 4-layered structure with the thermoelectric Bi
Te
used as the absorption layer may provide a straightforward way to obtain solar-thermal-electric conversion more efficiently through future study.
Carnosol has been proved to have anti-breast cancer effect in previous research. But its ER subtype's specific regulation and mediation mechanisms remain unclear. The aim of this study is to observe ...the effect of carnosol on cell proliferation and its estrogen receptor α and β's specific regulation and mediation mechanisms with ER positive breast cancer T47D cell. With estrogen receptor α and β antagonists MPP and PHTPP as tools, the MTT cell proliferation assay was performed to observe the effect of carnosol on T47D cell proliferation. The changes in the T47D cell proliferation cycle were detected by flow cytometry. The effect of carnosol on ERα and ERβ expressions of T47D cells was measured by Western blot. The findings showed that 1 x 10(-5)-1 x 10(-7) mol x L(-1) carnosol could significantly inhibit the T47D cell proliferation, which could be enhanced by MPP or weakened by PHTPP. Meanwhile, 1 x 10(-5) mol x L(-1) or 1 x 10(-6) mol x L(-1) carnosol could significantly increase ERα and ERβ expressions of T47D cells, and remarkably increase ERα/ERβ ratio. The results showed that carnosol showed the inhibitory effect on the proliferation of ER positive breast cancer cells through target cell ER, especially ERβ pathway. In the meantime, carnosol could regulate expressions and proportions of target cell ER subtype ERα and ERβ.
Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of different evaluation indexes of captopril challenge test (CCT) on primary aldosteronism. Methods The biochemical parameters were collected of patients ...with aldosterone producing adenoma (APA, 90 cases), with idiopathic hyperaldosteronism (IHA, 44 cases) and with essential hypertension (EH, 88 cases) who were diagnosed and undergone CCT in the General Hospital of PLA from Jan. 2014 to Mar. 2016. The clinical characteristics were compared, the receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) was conducted to evaluate the diagnostic value of different evaluation indexes including the absolute value and suppression percentage of aldosterone, the increasing percentage of plasma renin activity (PRA) and the ratio of aldosterone/renin (ARR), and then the optimal diagnostic criteria and its sensitivity and specificity were determined. Results After CCT the suppression percentage of aldosterone in APA, IHA and EH groups were 0.3%, 0.7% and 4.0%, respectively. The increasin
