Controlling the structural order of nanoparticles (NPs), morphology, and composition is of paramount significance in tailoring the physical properties of nanoassembly. However, the commonly reported ...symmetrical nanocomposites often suffer an interference or sacrifice of the photophysical properties of the original components. To address this challenge, we developed a novel type of organic‐inorganic Janus nanocomposite (JNCP) with an asymmetric architecture, offering unique features such as the precisely controlled localization of components, combined modular optical properties, and independent stimuli. As a proof of concept, JNCPs were prepared by incorporating two photoacoustic (PA) imaging agents, namely an organic semiconducting dye and responsive gold nanoparticles (AuNP) assembly in separate compartments of JNCP. Theoretical simulation results confirmed that the formation mechanism of JNCPs arises from the entropy equilibrium in the system. The AuNP assembly generated a PA images with the variation of pH, while the semiconducting molecule served as an internal PA standard agent, leading to ratiometric PA imaging of pH. JNCP based probe holds great potential for real‐time and accurate detection of diverse biological targets in living systems.
We developed a new type of organic‐inorganic Janus nanocomposite (JNCP) with an asymmetric architecture following a self‐assembly approach, offering unique features such as the precisely controlled localization of PA agents, combined modular PA properties, and independent responsiveness.
Background
To evaluate the association of preoperative clinical and sonographic features with central lymph node metastasis (CLNM) in patients with clinically node‐negative (cN0) papillary thyroid ...carcinoma (PTC) without capsule invasion.
Methods
Clinical and sonographic features of 635 cN0 PTC nodules without capsule invasion were retrospectively reviewed. CLNM was confirmed by pathology. Univariate and multivariate analyses were performed to analyze the predicting factors associated with CLNM in cN0 PTC without capsule invasion.
Results
In the 635 cN0 PTC nodules without capsule invasion, age ≤36 years, male, tumor size >8 mm, the distance between the tumor and the capsule ≤1.1 mm and calcification were independently associated with CLNM (P < .05).
Conclusions
CLNM was associated with age, sex, tumor size, the distance between the tumor and the capsule, and calcification in cN0 PTC without capsule invasion. Preoperative assessment of risk factors could help to select PTC patients who benefit from surgery.

Acute respiratory disease caused by 2019 novel coronavirus (2019‐nCoV) has rapidly spread throughout China. Children and adults show a different clinical course. The purpose of the current study is ...to comparatively analyze the clinical characteristics of 2019‐nCoV infection in children and adults and to explore the possible causes for the discrepancies present. The medical records of 25 adults and 7 children confirmed cases of 2019‐2019‐nCoV acute respiratory diseases were reviewed retrospectively. All children were family clusters. The total adult patients were differentiated into the local residents of Wuhan, a history of travel to Wuhan and direct contact with people from Wuhan. The numbers were 14 (56%), 10 (40%), and 1 (4%), respectively. The median incubation period of children and adults was 5 days (ranged, 3‐12 days) and 4 days (ranged, 2‐12 days), respectively. Diarrhoea and/or vomiting (57.1%) were demic by World Health Organiza more common in children, whereas for adults it was myalgia or fatigue (52%). On admission, the percentage of children having pneumonia (5%, 71.4%) was roughly the same as adults (20%, 80%). A total of 20% of adults had leucopoenia, but leukocytosis was more frequently in children (28.6%, P=.014). A higher number of children had elevated creatine kinase isoenzyme (57.1% vs 4%, P=.004). Antiviral therapy was given to all adult patients but to none of the children. In summary, knowledge of these differences between children and adults will not only be helpful for the clinical diagnosis of 2019‐nCoV disease, but also for a future discussion on age‐specific coronavirus infection.
Highlights
The routes of infection were more diverse in adults than children.
Diarrhoea and/or vomiting were more common in children, whereas for adults it was myalgia or fatigue.
More adults had leucopoenia, but leukocytosis was more frequently in children.
A higher number of children had elevated creatine kinase isoenzyme.
The percentage of children having pneumonia was roughly the same as adults.
The DD∗ potentials are studied within the framework of heavy meson chiral effective field theory. We obtain the effective potentials of the DD∗ system up to O(ε2) at the one-loop level. In addition ...to the one-pion exchange contribution, the contact and two-pion exchange interactions are also investigated in detail. Furthermore, we search for the possible molecular states by solving the Schrödinger equation with the potentials. We notice that the contact and two-pion exchange potentials are numerically non-negligible and important for the existence of a bound state. In our results, no bound state is found in the I = 0 channel within a wide range of the cutoff parameter, while there exists a bound state in the I = 1 channel as the cutoff is near mρ in our approach.
Very recently, the LHCb Collaboration at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN observed new resonance

X

among all allowed hidden-charmed decays of the

Very recently, the LHCb Collaboration reported a fully charmed tetraquark state X ( 6900 ) in the invariant mass spectrum of J / ψ pairs. If one J / ψ meson is replaced with a fully charmed baryon, ...we obtain a fully charmed pentaquark candidate. In this work, we perform a systematic study on the mass spectra of the S -wave fully heavy pentaquark QQQQQ in the framework of the chromomagnetic interaction model. Based on our results in two different schemes, we further investigate the decay behaviors for them. We hope that our study will be helpful in searching for such types of exotic pentaquark states in experiments in the future.
We study the magnetic moments and transition magnetic moments of Pc and Pcs states in the molecular picture. We first revisit the magnetic moments of Pc (4312), Pc (4440), and Pc (4457) as the S-wave ...molecular states without coupled channel effects. The coupled channel effects and the D-wave contributions are then investigated carefully. The coupled channel effects contribute to the change of 0.1∼0.4 nuclear magneton μN for most cases while the D wave only induces the variation of less than 0.03 μN. In addition, we obtain the transition magnetic moments between different P c states and the related electromagnetic decay widths of Pc′ → Pcγ. The magnetic moments of Pcs (4459) are much different for the assumption of spin being 1/2 or 3/2. The study of electromagnetic properties will help us disclose further the structure of these unconventional states.
