Sustainable agriculture is an important global issue. The use of organic fertilizers can enhance crop yield and soil properties while restraining pests and diseases. The objective of this study was ...to assess the effects of long-term use of chemical and organic fertilizers on tea and rhizosphere soil properties in tea orchards. Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) and high-throughput sequencing technology analyses were used to investigate heavy metals content and bacterial composition in rhizosphere soils. Our results indicated that organic fertilizer treatment significantly decreased Cu, Pb and Cd contents in rhizosphere soil sample. The results also showed that treatment with organic fertilizer significantly decreased the contents of Cd, Pb and As in tea leaves. Furthermore, organic fertilizer significantly increased the amino acids content of tea and the pH of the soil. The use of organic fertilizer significantly increased in the relative abundance of Burkholderiales, Myxococcales, Streptomycetales, Nitrospirales, Ktedonobacterales, Acidobacteriales, Gemmatimonadales, and Solibacterales, and decreased the abundance of Pseudonocardiales, Frankiales, Rhizobiales, and Xanthomonadales. In conclusion, organic fertilizer can help to shape the microbial composition and recruit beneficial bacteria into the rhizosphere of tea, leading to improved tea quality and reduced heavy metals content in rhizosphere soil and tea leaves.

Abstract
Motivation
Mitochondria are an essential organelle in most eukaryotes. They not only play an important role in energy metabolism but also take part in many critical cytopathological ...processes. Abnormal mitochondria can trigger a series of human diseases, such as Parkinson's disease, multifactor disorder and Type-II diabetes. Protein submitochondrial localization enables the understanding of protein function in studying disease pathogenesis and drug design.
Results
We proposed a new method, SubMito-XGBoost, for protein submitochondrial localization prediction. Three steps are included: (i) the g-gap dipeptide composition (g-gap DC), pseudo-amino acid composition (PseAAC), auto-correlation function (ACF) and Bi-gram position-specific scoring matrix (Bi-gram PSSM) are employed to extract protein sequence features, (ii) Synthetic Minority Oversampling Technique (SMOTE) is used to balance samples, and the ReliefF algorithm is applied for feature selection and (iii) the obtained feature vectors are fed into XGBoost to predict protein submitochondrial locations. SubMito-XGBoost has obtained satisfactory prediction results by the leave-one-out-cross-validation (LOOCV) compared with existing methods. The prediction accuracies of the SubMito-XGBoost method on the two training datasets M317 and M983 were 97.7% and 98.9%, which are 2.8–12.5% and 3.8–9.9% higher than other methods, respectively. The prediction accuracy of the independent test set M495 was 94.8%, which is significantly better than the existing studies. The proposed method also achieves satisfactory predictive performance on plant and non-plant protein submitochondrial datasets. SubMito-XGBoost also plays an important role in new drug design for the treatment of related diseases.

The effect of interface dislocation networks on the mechanical properties of new Ni-based single crystal alloys containing Rhenium (Re) is very large. Because the interface dislocations are ...microscopic in the nano-scale range, this has not been investigated, and it is very difficult to prepare new Ni-based single crystal alloys containing Re. Therefore, six kinds of new Ni-based single crystal alloys containing Re were prepared, and the hardness tests and nonlinear ultrasonic lamb wave tests were performed on the samples. It was found that the density of interface dislocation networks increases with the increase in the content of Re, which improves the blocking ability of matrix phase dislocation cutting into precipitated phase and enhances the inhibition of dislocation movement. The nonlinear ultrasonic lamb wave tests showed that the materials exhibit better mechanical properties when the density of the interface dislocation networks increases. Meanwhile, a new molecular dynamics model which is closer to the real state of an Ni-based single crystal alloy was constructed to reveal the evolution mechanism of interface dislocation networks. The results showed that the potential energy of Re atoms at the interface is the lowest, which affects the reduction of the potential energy of other atoms at the interface, and thus the stability of the model is improved. In addition, according to the change in the total length of dislocation loops in the model system, with the increase in the content of Re atoms, the inhibition of dislocation movement by dislocation networks at the interface is strengthened.
Herpes stromal keratitis (HSK) is one of the primary diseases that cause vision loss or even blindness after herpes simplex virus (HSV)-1 infection. HSK-associated vision impairment is predominantly ...due to corneal scarring and neovascularization caused by inflammation. In the infected cornea, HSV can activate innate and adaptive immune responses of host cells, which triggers a cascade of reactions that leads to the release of inflammatory cytokines, chemokines, microRNA, and other regulatory factors that have stimulating or inhibitory effects on tissue. Physiologically, host cells show homeostasis. In this review, we summarize the factors involved in HSK pathogenesis from the perspective of immunity, molecules, and pathological angiogenesis. We also describe in detail the pathogenesis of chronic inflammatory lesions of the corneal stroma in response to HSV-1 infection.
To improve the fault diagnosis effect of transmission of coal cutter and ensure the smooth work of coal cutter, the detection and fault diagnosis system of transmission of coal cutter is designed and ...analyzed in this study. Based on the improved BP neural network and the internal Web remote fault diagnosis technology, this study designs and tests the detection and fault diagnosis system of transmission of coal cutter. It is found that the accuracy of fault diagnosis is 100% by using sample input neural network, indicating that the detection and fault diagnosis system of transmission of coal cutter designed by the improved BP neural network algorithm has high accuracy and practicability.
A new, complete sample of 14,584 broad-line active galactic nuclei (AGNs) at z < 0.35 is presented, which are uncovered homogeneously from the complete database of galaxies and quasars observed ...spectroscopically in the Sloan Digital Sky Survey Seventh Data Release. The stellar continuum is properly removed for each spectrum with significant host absorption line features, and careful analyses of the emission line spectra, particularly in the H and Hβ wavebands, are carried out. The broad Balmer emission line, particularly H , is used to indicate the presence of an AGN. The broad H lines have luminosities in a range of 1038.5- 1044.3 , and line widths (FWHMs) of 500-34,000 . The virial black hole masses, estimated from the broad-line measurements, span a range of 105.1- 1010.3 , and the Eddington ratios vary from −3.3 to 1.3 in logarithmic scale. Other quantities such as multiwavelength photometric properties and flags denoting peculiar line profiles are also included in this catalog. We describe the construction of this catalog and briefly discuss its properties. The catalog is publicly available online. This homogeneously selected AGN catalog, along with the accurately measured spectral parameters, provides the most updated, largest AGN sample data, which will enable further comprehensive investigations of the properties of the AGN population in the low-redshift universe.
The interactive effect of soil cooling and nitrogen (N) addition can accurately simulate climatic and anthropogenic effects on terrestrial and other land-based ecosystems, but direct empirical ...measurements on the effects of cooling and N addition on soil carbon (C) and N are lacking. Hence, transplanting soils into colder regions was used to evaluate the effects of cooling and N addition on soil C and N. We used PVCs of 30 cm in height and 8 cm in diameter to extract soil samples. Soil C and N were significantly (P < 0.05) increased by transplanting soils into colder regions. In contrast, cooling has insignificantly (P > 0.05) increased the soil dissolved organic C (DOC) and dissolved organic (DON), but the effect was negatively significant on soil pH compared to the C/N ratio. Similarly, N addition significantly increased the measured soil N stock. However, the effect was negatively significant on soil pH (P < 0.05) compared to the C/N ratio (P > 0.05). Nevertheless, the interaction of cooling and N addition did not affect the soil C and N storage. A similar effect was observed on the soil DOC and DON. The results presented here illustrate that transplanting soils into colder regions and N deposition has perfectly simulated the effects of climate-forcing factors on soil C and N storage in terrestrial and other land-based ecosystems. Accordingly, this study suggests that low temperatures have stimulated the accumulation of the measured soil organic and dissolved properties, but the effect is less consequential when low temperature interacts with N addition in high-elevation areas where ecosystem structures and functions are limited by temperature and may serve as a baseline for future research on land feedbacks to the climate system.

The growth arrest and DNA damage inducible protein 45 (GADD45) family comprises stress-induced nuclear proteins that interact with DNA demethylases to facilitate DNA demethylation, thereby regulating ...diverse cellular processes including oxidative stress, DNA damage repair, apoptosis, proliferation, differentiation, inflammation, and neuroplasticity by modulating the expression patterns of specific genes. Widely expressed in the central nervous system, the GADD45 family plays a pivotal role in various neurological disorders, rendering it a potential therapeutic target for central nervous system diseases. This review presented a comprehensive overview of the expression patterns and potential mechanisms of action associated with each member of GADD45 family (GADD45α, GADD45β, and GADD45γ) in neurodevelopmental, neurodegenerative, and neuropsychiatric disorders, while also explored strategies to harness these mechanisms for intervention and treatment. Future research should prioritize the development of effective modulators targeting the GADD45 family for clinical trials aimed at treating central nervous system diseases.
