For the chaotic motion control of a single-degree-of-freedom vibro-impact system with soft constraint, a parameter-feedback chaos control method based on ridgelet neural network (or RNN for short) is ...proposed. The parameter feedback chaos controller is designed based on RNN, and the output energy of the controller and the distance between two adjacent points on the Poincare cross section was used as the weighted terms to construct a fitness function, so as to guide the adaptive multiple sub-population collaboration QPSO algorithm (or AMPCQSO for short) to optimize the parameters of the controller. The controller optimized is used to output a small perturbation to adjust the damping coefficient of the system, thus the chaotic motion can be controlled to the desired periodic motion. In the proposed method, the design of the controller does not depend on the precise mathematical model of the controlled system, so this method is suitable for the case where the precise mathematical model of the controlled system is unknown and only the input/output data can be obtained. In the simulation experiment, the influence of the number of hidden layer nodes in RNN on chaos control effect is further analyzed and studied. The simulation results show that the expected control target can be achieved when there are 5 or 6 hidden layer nodes of RNN, but When the number of hidden layer nodes is 5, the structure of RNN is simpler and the optimized speed of controller parameters is faster.
This study measured the area of the hippocampal structure using brain magnetic resonance imaging. We rebuilt a three-dimensional reconstruction of the brain and selected specific sections on the ...coronal plane, the cross section, and the sagittal plane and then measured the areas of the hippocampus using a software on the computer. In different sections, the left and right hippocampal areas were significantly different (P < 0.05), but the hippocampal areas of males and females are not concordant. There is no significant difference in the area in those aged 20 to 60 years. The hippocampal area is not correlated with the brain area in the same section. In conclusion, the standardization of the hippocampus is not suitable to judge the difference between males and females. The hippocampal area of healthy adults provides the criteria for atrophy of the hippocampus and a brief approach instead of the volumetric measures to apply in clinical diagnosis.
Background: Improving the field of vision (FOV) in photoacoustic images (PA) will provide effective information for the diagnosis of diseases. However, the wide FOV is usually limited by the laser ...spot size and energy. The laser beam diffusion method could expand spot size to increase the irradiation area, but it may cause a significant decrease in the overall PA signal amplitude. It is possible to increase the laser energy to enhance the PA amplitude, but it needs to be limited under the safety threshold. Objective: The objective of this study is to improve the PA imaging method to increase the FOV. Statement of Contribution/Methods: In this study, we present a PA image method named the Axial-Lateral Multi-Angle Laser Excitation and Coherent Compounding (MAC-PA) for increasing the FOV in PA imaging. The effectiveness of the method is verified both by the experiments and the simulation systems. Specifically, we designed a PA imaging system with a 64-element transducer combined Axial-Lateral direction multi-angle laser illumination technique and based on all angles' results and the coherent compounding algorithm to obtain a wide-FOV image. Results/Discussion: Both the experiment and simulation results in the figures show that the proposed laser excitation with the coherent compounding method can significantly expand the FOV and improve the signal-to-noise ratio in the PA image with no additional laser energy required. Conclusion: The MAC-PA method proposed in this study provides a new gate to significantly enhance FOV in the PA image without additional laser energy increase.
Generally, different transparent electrode materials have various effects on transparent random resistive access memory (TRRAM) devices' performance 1. In this work, HfOx-based TRRAM devices with ITO ...and FTO as top electrodes are fabricated on glass substrate. The results show that all devices presented high transmittance of above 74% in the wavelength from 400nm to 700nm region. Further, better resistive switching (RS) parameters, such as high endurance DC cycles (up to 2000 cycles), lower power consumption (less than 10uA), and self-compliance behavior etc. were clearly demonstrated. Additionally, all TRRAM devices show the data retention (up to10 4 s at 85°C) well.
This paper focuses on using wearable equipment to make workers participate in constructing monitoring maps in large-scale petrochemical plants, which collaborates with static sensor nodes in given ...areas. Furthermore, this study provides a sensing pattern with less cost and higher flexibility, which effectively contribute to collective effort with static sensor nodes. Several open research issues are discussed.
