The exploitation of mineral resources is an essential factor of economic and technological development of a country, whilst the surface exploitation is the most common. This paper presents the modern ...spatial dana collection technologies for the purpose of monitoring the exploitation of mineral resources in open pits. Different models of volume determination implemented within the software package AutoCAD Civil 3D have been shown. Bucket-wheel excavator are often used for the purposes of exploitation in the open cast mines. This paper presents the conceptual design of a system for volume determination of excavation by bucket wheel excavators in real time, based on GNSS technology.

Tramway system is the issue of this research project. Tramway can be defined as a system of transport used wholly or mainly for the carriage of passengers, which employs parallel rails that provide ...support and guidance for vehicles carried on flanged wheels, and has been designed to have a significant element which operates on line-of-sight on a highway.The main objective of this research project is focused on the determination of the best route for proposed tramway into Ramadi city. It also focuses on the other important design considerations. Origin-destination stations and four proposed routes have been selected based on navigation, surveying, and specifications by using GPS device, total station device, Civil 3D program and GIS software. Six main criteria with their sub criteria have been chosen, which are: accessibility, safety, economic, environment, population density and trips, and security. A comparative form for these criteria has been designed to facilitate the comparison process to select the best proposal among the four proposals.Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) method has been used to evaluate the proposals. The results of the analysis explained that the proposal1 is the best alternative among four alternatives to be an acceptable tramway route at Ramadi city.

In order to improve and reducing the environmental damage around the road due to water flow, ...the planned drainage system by implementing BIM. BIM has a major role in coordinating and integrating information exchange and knowledge between various disciplines and phases in the project implementation. In this study, the Autodesk Civil 3D and Autodesk Storm and Sanitary Analysis (SSA) are employed as a BIM platform. Autodesk Civil 3D is the latest version of AutoCAD Land Desktop development that has used the dynamic modeling concept. Autodesk Civil 3D helps facilitate in case of design changes as well as in the calculating of job volume such as the volume of cut and fill of the soil and volume of required materials in drainage channel planning. While SSA facilities plan on hydraulics such as flow depth, maximum velocity, channel slope, and channel dimensions. Based on the result of the SSA analysis, the dimensions of drainage channel are 30 cm x 30 cm, 50 cm x 50 xm, 65 cm x 65 cm, and 80 cm x 80 cm. I. INTRODUCTIONThe Parshall Flume, which was invented in 1920 by R. Parshall, is mostly used in wastewater and crop supply. The structuring of the project is adhered to by different models that define its behavior and limit its use. This is the case of an approach length of the channel entrance, which is nothing more than a primary distance for the action of the flow within the channel. Throughout history, some studies were conducted in an attempt to establish an approximate and realistic value of the length at the time of measurements, but the theories put forward were lost. Some people link this length with the narrowing of the gorge, and others suggest flow conditions before entering the flume.
For the development of the project established with its respective objectives, the respective structuring was carried out: For the measurement, the points already established in the field will be taken with the help of a total station, GPS, to verify the respective measurements of the Parshall flume. For the calculations and the design, the points will be introduced in the civil 3D to be able to verify if the points taken are the correct ones and what distances they have between them, through this, we can apply different methods to be able to verify the design that has this Parshall flume. For the evaluation and layout of the gutter, if it is the case, we will carry out a layout in plan with the data already calculated in the office and we will evaluate the situation in which it is so that we can apply a possible solution so that a defect does not occur.
In this report, we focus on the design and redesign of a hydraulic irrigation channel where we find a Parshall section, which has the function of measuring the flow found in that section. The measurements found in the field can be verified in the office using formulas and software to verify if the data are correct, if so we can say that it is well designed, otherwise we will look for a possible solution by doing a field study.
Flood maps are important for local authorities in designing mitigation plans to minimise damage and loss due to flooding. In recent years, flood events in the Sarawak River Basin, Malaysia have ...caused damage to property, loss of life and disruption of productive activities. Currently, the available flood map for Sarawak River Basin is generated using InfoWorks River Simulation (InfoWorks RS) and spot levels are captured using the Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) system. However, the high cost of this flood mapping technique has motivated the development of an advanced but low-cost flood mapping method. This study was carried out to test the feasibility of using Google Earth coupled with Autocad Civil 3D in generating flood maps. Google Earth was used to obtain the elevation data, while Autocad Civil 3D was used to plot the water level surface. Data for the maximum water level, recorded since 1960, for 12 water level stations were fed into the model for flood map generation. This research confirmed that Autocad Civil 3D coupled with Google Earth is feasible for generating an updated and accurate flood map, after comparison with 2 flood maps developed previously.
