Between 1919 and 1925, Huidobro, Diego and Larrea exchange letters that have a great interest for the internal history of the Hispanic avant-garde and his debates. At the beginning, the two young ...Spaniards join the broad movement of renewal that supposes the ultraism, but soon they discover in the creationism a more solid and constructive esthetic. So when the controversy of Huidobro with Reverdy arises, Diego and Larrea are loyal to the Chilean and definitely distance themselves from the Ultra group. The cross-correspondence of these three poets provides relevant materials to iluminate new facets of relations between ultraists and creationits, when one hundred years have passed since the second and decisive arrival of the autor’s Horizon carré to Spain.
How different is Ball's dada-show from the ...Kirzig-Tatar poet (shaman) who "runs around the tent, springing, roaring, leaping; he barks like a dog, sniffs at the audience, lows like an ox, bellows, cries, bleats like lamb, grunts like pig, whinnies, coos, imitating with remarkable accuracy the cries of animals, the song of birds, the sound of their flight, and so on, all of which greatly impresses the audience" (M. Eliade, Shamanism, p. 97)? ...in those years (1997-99) I was doing a lot of performances in Latin America so it was a way to connect a bit more to audiences. ¿ What kind of connection or differences do you see between him and other avant-garde sound poets as Kurt Schwitters, Hugo Ball, etc. ?

The strong presence in the poem of the Christian and Classical imaginaries contribute, on the one hand, to the poem's challenge of the traditional conception of exile as a tragedy and of the exile as ...a passive victim who wishes the return to the motherland. Far from considering the individual a passive victim of exile, this analysis enhances, therefore, both the agency and the creativity of a subject who does not wish to return "home," but who would rather create a new motherland. Theobjective of the present study is to analyze the use of the ironic procedures and the parodic discursive modalities that Vicente Huidobro uses in Tres inmensas novelas, a short book of three brief ...humorous tales that the Chilean poet wrote together with Hans Arp, in the year 1931, during a summer shared in the people of Arcachon, in the region of Aquitaine. The first element that we would like to underline is the geo-poetical position from that the text was written, since it is a collection of stories elaborated "from the margins": in case of Huidobro, the off-centerperspective depends on his geo-culturalorigin (a Latin-American citizen living in the European continent); in case of Arp depends on the exile's condition that the Alsatian artist experienced due to the continuous clashes between France and Germany for the control of the region. Thanks to a wise and clever use of the parody, the irony and the paradox, Tres inmensas novelas questions any manifestation of aggressiveness and any form of violence - both physical and verbal or ideological-, using a series of rhetorical resources that provoke the laugh in the reader at the same time as they untie reflections on how tragic events (a war), or feelings considered noble (the sense of mother land), can turn into a comical parade of pathetic bit-part actors.
