•System quality had no significant influence on AIS usage.•Information quality had no significant influence on AIS user satisfaction.•Internal control quality and all other quality dimensions are ...positively associated with AIS use and user satisfaction.•AIS use and user satisfaction are significantly influencing AIS success.
The main objective of this research is to investigate the impact of three different information system (IS) quality constructs, namely system quality, service quality, and information quality, as well as internal control quality, on both IS use and user satisfaction. The ultimate goal is to enhance the success of the information system. To achieve this goal, a quantitative approach using a survey questionnaire was employed to collect data from 111 respondents who are familiar with AIS use. The study utilized the Smart PLS-SEM to analyze the collected data and test the hypotheses. Additionally, the study proposed a theoretical model based on Delone and McLean's Information System (D&M IS) Success Model to support the findings. The results of the PLS-SEM analysis revealed that the paths leading from system quality to AIS utilization and information quality to AIS user satisfaction were not significant through direct correlations. However, all other links involving the IS success model were found to be significant according to the study outcomes. This research fills the gap in the limited theoretical understanding of AIS use and impact in Jordan and provides valuable contributions to existing IS literature, particularly in terms of identifying the determinants shaping the net benefits derived from AIS. The proposed model was validated in Jordanian companies implementing AIS, and the study can serve as a guide to underscore the importance of AIS. Finally, the study highlights some implications, acknowledges limitations, and presents prospects for subsequent research endeavors.
We presented a novel method to analyze the impact tax management systems have on users (individual impact) in this study. The interrelationship among the three information system (IS) quality ...constructs is examined. The study is based on the evaluation undertaken in this paper of DeLone and Mclean's (D & M) model. Quantitative data are gathered from a related Ghanaian enterprise. The structural equation modelling of partial least squares was utilized to model the system quality, information quality, and service quality. The result of the study shows that the three quality constructs of the D & M model positively influence the users of a tax management system (individual impact). The results also show that there is a significant positive interrelation among the IS quality constructs.
In this study, the effects of IS strategic leadership on organizational outcomes are examined from the perspective of CIO strategic roles. A field survey is conducted that collects data from 110 ...matched pairs of CIOs and business executives within organizations. Our findings suggest that strategic leadership significantly affects both organizational benefits and information system quality. Further, we found that IS quality significantly mediates the relationship between IS strategic leadership and organizational benefits. We also note that IS vision significantly moderates the relationship between IS strategic leadership and IS quality, although it does not moderate the relationship between IS strategic leadership and organizational benefits or the relationship between IS quality and organizational benefits.
The purpose of this paper is to explore taxpayer perceptions of online tax filing in Indonesia, using prior experience, trust, and the IS (information system) success model. We examine how IS quality ...can be influenced by attributes such as prior experience in offline tax filing, trust in the government, trust in the technology, and trust in the e-filing website. Following this, we explore the influence of IS quality on perceived usefulness and user satisfaction. This paper is intended to ascertain whether these last two dimensions (perceived usefulness and user satisfaction) can influence the perceived net benefit of the e-filing website. This research used primary data generated by distributing online questionnaires; 933 of the 1,095 respondents were actively using online tax filing (e-filing). The results found that trust in the government and trust in the technology have a positive influence on the trust in the e-filing website, which subsequently influences all three IS quality dimensions. Information quality, system quality and service quality were found to have consistent and significant influence on the perceived usefulness of and user satisfaction in the e-filing website.
The effectiveness of investment in information system (IS) can be partly explained by the continuous usage of installed systems. Therefore, the research on IS user retention is important from both ...practical and academic perspectives. In order to develop an integrative model for IS users' continued usage, this paper explores the main antecedents that cause the retention of IS users. In addition to attitude, the integrative model links previous behavior like habit and behavioral control belief like switching cost, to IS continuance intention. For an empirical exploration, 345 samples were collected from the users of a web portal site. Data analysis using Structural Equation Modeling shows that IS quality in terms of desire congruency and expectation congruency has a direct effect on attribute satisfaction. The attribute satisfaction shows a significant effect on continuance intention mediated by the attitude toward use-continuance. Lastly, it is found that switching cost has a significant direct effect on continuance intention while habit has an indirect effect via switching cost.
We present a method to assess how aligned hospital information systems (HIS) are with quality standards adopted by the organization. Canonical action research is our mode of inquiry, in a district ...hospital implementing multiple certification standards. We build on the "ground-truth" provided by healthcare professionals to identify risks and opportunities for HIS developments while contributing to their awareness of its implications. We address different categories of design-reality gaps, namely the organizational, service, process, and individual. The findings suggest that HIS compliance should address five interrelated dimensions of context, people, processes, IT, and information/data. The proposed method allows self-evaluation through gap analysis and a comprehensive assessment of hospital quality, integrating HIS and healthcare processes. Moreover, it supports multiple quality models in hospitals and the development of heterogeneous HIS solutions in different maturity stages. HIS developments should be a priority for hospital quality worldwide; especially in the emerging economies that require methods accessible to their resources, standards compliance, and demographic demands for healthcare.
