Based on the testimony provided by a group of pupils and teachers, this article focuses on its location: the ‘Gran Hotel ‘, a termal resort building in Alceda, and also on other aspects such as: school organization, school schedule, extracurricula activities, etc. Besides, it overlooks its daily life atmosphere and the reaction to the ideology of Franco regime.
In the period after the World War II, the Slovenian community in Rijeka had its strong traditional basis and could accept the newly arrived members of the Slovenian nation. Hence there was an ...affirmation of cultural and educational work with the prominent national characteristics and the expected features of that time. Slovenian cultural societies in relation to the ethnicity were in specific position in the Republic of Croatia because they could not manifest themselves as a minority, so they were active by varying orientations between the workers’ cultural creativity and the selected contents with the task of preserving national identity. In relation to the social order, the Slovenian Culture and Arts Societies in Rijeka completed the picture of welcome and distinctive amateurism with the specific personal ties to the so-called high (professional) culture. The holder of the Slovenian cultural activities in Rijeka of that time is the Slovenian House – Cultural and Educational Society “Bazovica”. Beside the Slovenian House – Cultural and Educational Society “Bazovica”, which is nowadays recognizable in Rijeka as a minority society with long tradition of being active, members of the Slovenian community in Rijeka had founded their department in the former Elementary School Matteotti with Slovene as a school subject (from 1951 to 1953), and in the Church of Assumption the Mass had been held in the Slovene language (up to 1950s).
The aristocratic life indicates the individual education, education of loneliness and education of distinction that requires self-criticism as an element for self-overcoming of the great ...individuality. Therefore it is not about an education for everybody but for the ones that have reverence for themselves. In this article we intend to present the reasons that base an aristocratic education in Nietzsche which make sense in the comprehension of the pettiness, the fearful, the stupid, in the human mass. For this analysis the context of the conditioning of imprisonment and human mass education find space. The used methodology in the investigation consists in the bibliographical research, once it is a philosophic research on education. The outcome results point to the need of a new man’s profile capable of getting over the state of insignificance, pettiness and fear.

Do networks of urban utilities make cities more alike in Europe? What has been the diffusion of urban technologies and models of urban development in both directions between Europe and North America ...in the twentieth century? How are cities with a high concentration of research and development activities different? To answer questions such as these, Mikael Hard and Thomas Misa have assembled a team of scholars writing mostly about the United States and Central and Western Europe. The political context and nature of long-term infrastructure decisions and the economics of investment and utilization are given insufficient attention, but the empirical material is rich, diverse, well-illustrated and instructive.
In general, choir books have been studied as sources of iconographic, musicological,
liturgical and codicological information, but from a one-dimensional epistemological perspective.
These goods ...–which they are because they have economic value, among other values– are complex
cultural artifacts: each of them is much more than the sum of its parts and consequently requires an
interdisciplinary approach for its study. When serving for a specific purpose, namely, the realization
of the Catholic liturgy, a minimum understanding of it becomes essential to assess the uniqueness of
a chant book within a universe constituted by other chant books, all containing texts and music for
the Mass and the Divine Office, visible parts of a complex organization regulated by three overlapping, interconnected and interacting cycles, in the intersection of two calendars (the liturgical and
the civil): the cultual representation of Jesus´ life (liturgical calendar), the feasts of the saints (civil
calendar), and the hierarchy of weekdays and celebrations (both calendars). Each choir book carries
the DNA of that complexity.
