Se intenta reconocer a modo de ensayo la coherencia de postulados políticos de Suárez y su antropología. Para tal propósito vierto una selección de textos, principalmente del Libro tercero del De ...opere sex dierum, donde se da testimonio de los fundamentos que revelan no sólo indicios de un pensamiento preilustrado en Suárez, sino la relevancia de temas que se encuentran en sus escritos que quedan por explorar en cualquiera de sus volúmenes. He dividido este trabajo en dos secciones: La primera, hace breve mención a la defensa de la igualdad de los sexos en François Poullain de la Barre. Además, alude a la virtud política de Descartes y su defensa de la diferencia de los sexos. La segunda y central, exhibe argumentos olvidados del tratado De opere sex dierum de Suárez, donde se aborda la cuestión de la igualdad de los sexos.
