SLOVENIAN SPATIAL ORIENTED LITERARY STUDIES AND LITERARY INTERPRETATION
The paper examines how to interpret literature from the viewpoint of modern spatially oriented literary studies, more ...precisely, of its Slovenian academic ver-sion, which has established in the last decade. It draws on the tradition of literary geography from the beginning of the 20th century and updates it theoretically and methodologically with the concepts of postmodern spatial humanities. It is pro-ductively connected with the empirical studies of literature (ELW), which have a longer tradition in Slovenia, especially through the conception of literature as a social system. Slovenian spatially oriented literary studies are based on a particu-lar hypothesis about mutual influences between geospace, understood as a mesh of physical-natural and social conditions, and literature, understood as a literary communication. Slovenian literature is interpreted primarily through space. In literary studies, various types of spatial data come to the fore, which are, on the one hand, mainly relate to biographies of writers and the infrastructure of media and institutions, and, on the other, to literary texts that refer to geospace. Thematic literary maps – created using geographic information system technology (GIS) – are used to present, analyse and interpret the relations between geospace and the “life paths” of the most prominent Slovenian writers.

This paper deals with the aesthetics of absence and pre-postmodern strategies as carried out in the short story “Prázdná židle Empty Chair” (1916) by Richard Weiner. Drawing on the methodological ...fusion of narrative analysis, media philosophy, and visual anthropology, I argue that Weiner’s text offers a specific “portrait of absence”, which is able to intensify the subject despite its physical non-presence. In the first part, Weiner’s discursive strategy of feigning, revealing common features with postmodern metafiction and producing a rupture between what the text says and what it does, is explained. The second part analyzes an ironization of its affective and thematic center while bringing forth a new concept of “dia-narrative”. The third part explores the main figure of the empty chair in its intermedial relations with the portraits of Vincent van Gogh (1888) and the founding work of the conceptual art by Joseph Kosuth (1965).
En este artículo se expone la historia de, y un modelo para, la Etnografía de Interés Público (EIP). El objetivo es codificar los medios por los que la teoría, la práctica y la acción para el cambio ...en un mundo globalizado pueden desarrollarse y han sido desarrolladas conjuntamente por etnógrafos que han adoptado un enfoque etnográfico micro aunque asociado también a consideraciones macro. El término “interés público” se refiere tanto a los intereses más amplios relacionados con el “bien común” (el nivel macro) como a los intereses específicos transmitidos por los actores en la esfera pública del debate y la acción en cualquier sociedad (el nivel micro). La participación en estos diversos niveles proyecta al etnógrafo dentro del terreno en el que conocimientos compartidos e intereses enfrentados compiten por la atención del público. El tema principal que subyace al objetivo de la EIP es unir la etnografía a la interpretación y al cambio en el dominio público.
The essay proposes a social and cultural interpretation of snuff and hard core culture in cinematographic and literary representations, by using the category of gaze and body on the male/female ...gender differences. This work aims to analyze two kind of male cultural needs: - Visual: the male need of “seeing more” about the female body; - Social and cultural: the need of having to re-establish male dominance against the destructuring action of feminism. The field of analysis of cinematographic and literary outputs is focused on two titles: Snuff (1976) a movie produced by A. Shackleton, and the novel Snuff (2008) by Chuck Palahniuk. The movie is useful for the description of a snuff aesthetic and the rhetoric of male gaze; the novel instead is useful for the identification of relevant features about gender questions applied to extreme hard core pornography. At the end, it will be demonstrated the political attempt to reverse the hegemonic rhetoric of male gaze acting directly on the aesthetic of snuff movie ritual.
In this article we tackle the meaning of the adoptive family from the analysis of the adoptive Spanish mothers and fathers’ speech. In a context empty of adoptive culture, adoptive families publish ...narrations to be valued as «normal», while as the same time, due to an absence of reference models, they define their family model, blurring the lines of the familiar archetype established. Starting from the biographical method, we apply a double sociological exercise of (1) ideological deconstruction of the hegemonic family model, from the (2) construction of the meaning that adoptive parents bestow upon their family. The postmodern family theories and the poststructuralist feminist ones demarcate the critical analysis of the speech with a gender perspective.
Autor u članku promišlja situaciju suvremenog čovjeka kojemu društvo, na svim svojim razinama, nameće ideal privatne sreće, odnosno put samoostvarenja kao put koji valja izabrati i slijediti. Takav ...put, smatra autor, vodi do pretjeranog individualizma u kojemu pojedinci žive bez susreta i potrebe za drugim. Taj se put pokazuje kao promašaj, budući da istodobno dovodi do otuđenja i osamljenosti, usprkos sve razvijenijim sredstvima društvene komunikacije. Autor stoga, u drugom dijelu članka, progovara o civilizaciji ljubavi koja se temeljni na nauku Isusa Krista, a koja može dovesti do istinskog ostvarenje kako pojedinca tako i do izgradnje boljeg i humanijega društva. U trećem dijelu članka autor progovara o zadaćama suvremenih odgojitelja upozoravajući kako bi u odgojnom procesu trebali staviti osobe ispred stvari, etiku ispred tehnike, duh ispred materije te milosrđe ispred pravednosti.
El objetivo de este trabajo es elaborar una poética de los abecedarios contemporáneos, así como un análisis de los procesos de recepción que se le proponen al lector actual. Se ha adoptado un enfoque ...diacrónico que estudia la evolución de las formas y funciones de estos libros. Desde su función didáctica originaria como recurso para ayudar a los niños a aprender a leer, los abecedarios ilustrados han ido derivando, fundamentalmente desde el siglo XIX, hacia unos planteamientos innovadores muy diversificados que incorporan numerosos recursos literarios y estéticos, así como una original amalgama de géneros tradicionales y contemporáneos. En las últimas décadas se han publicado abecedarios que constituyen un ejemplo paradigmático de la presencia en la literatura infantil de los principales rasgos de la ficción postmoderna. El análisis se ilustra con una muestra representativa de abecedarios publicados tanto en España como en otros países, desde los orígenes del género hasta nuestros días, con una atención especial a los editados en España.
