Coronavirus (COVID-19) is highly infectious agent that causes fatal respiratory illnesses, which is of great global public health concern. Currently, there is no effective vaccine for tackling this ...COVID19 pandemic where disease countermeasures rely upon preventing or slowing person-to-person transmission. Specifically, there is increasing efforts to prevent or reduce transmission to front-line healthcare workers (HCW). However, there is growing international concern regarding the shortage in supply chain of critical one-time-use personal and protective equipment (PPE). PPE are heat sensitive and are not, by their manufacturer's design, intended for reprocessing. Most conventional sterilization technologies used in hospitals, or in terminal medical device sterilization providers, cannot effectively reprocess PPE due to the nature and severity of sterilization modalities. Contingency planning for PPE stock shortage is important. Solutions in the Republic of Ireland include use of smart communication channels to improve supply chain, bespoke production of PPE to meets gaps, along with least preferred option, use of sterilization or high-level disinfection for PPE reprocessing. Reprocessing PPE must consider material composition, functionality post treatment, along with appropriate disinfection. Following original manufacturer of PPE and regulatory guidance is important. Technologies deployed in the US, and for deployment in the Republic of Ireland, are eco-friendly, namely vaporised hydrogen peroxide (VH2O2), such as for filtering facepiece respirators and UV irradiation and High-level liquid disinfection (Actichlor+) is also been pursed in Ireland. Safeguarding supply chain of PPE will sustain vital healthcare provision and will help reduce mortality.

Innovation, the globalization of markets, changing living standards, and increasing average life expectancy are among the factors influencing work activity and impacting workers' performance. Within ...this context, the significance of time management (TM) is underscored as a critical means of rationalizing a limited and valuable resource, namely time. Effective time management is essential for achieving a balance between professional and family obligations while maintaining a high quality of life and achieving optimal outcomes. Although not a new phenomenon, the importance of time management has grown significantly in contemporary society. Motivated by the awareness of this issue, the present study aimed to validate a self-diagnostic tool for time management (TMST) that enables a quick assessment of an individual's time management skills and facilitates the development of personalized plans of action and improvement based on the identified profile. The results demonstrate a significant enhancement in all three sections of the TMST (time perspective, self-recognition, and time management) following the implementation of the recommended strategies. Furthermore, the conduction of interviews to evaluate and validate the TMST revealed that the tool adds value to time management, thereby contributing to both theoretical and practical advancements in this field.

We conducted two online surveys to evaluate online learning, students' satisfaction, and identify the positive and negative aspects of online learning. Data is collected in the first survey from 483 participants directly after the emergency shifting to online learning. The second survey data is collected from 853 after students' experienced online learning for three academic semesters. Both surveys' analysis results show that students had several problems with shifting to online learning during COVID-19 Pandemic such as technological, mental health, time management, and balance between life and education. The results also show that more than a third of the surveyed students are dissatisfied with the online learning experience. Further investigation is conducted to explore and identify the factors behind the students' dissatisfaction from the online learning experience during COVID-19 Pandemic in January 2021 using focus group technique. The analysis results reveal that the most important factors behind the students' dissatisfaction during online learning are a distraction and reduced focus, psychological issues, and management issues. This study proposes various solutions and recommendations to enhance the online learning experience and increase students' satisfaction.

EduAssist is a system that is designed to assist university students in arranging their daily work and time as a student. This system allows users, which are students and lecturers, to upload ...materials that students require for their studies, such as self-notes, their routine activities information, and any important dates. There are still many university students who lack skills in daily life management and have forgotten about the importance of day-to-day life management. Some students are unable to manage their time well while they are in university. Therefore, the objectives of this system are to help students plan their daily life, arrange their time to improve student access and retrieval of notes, and ease students in obtaining notes, assessments, and activities planners all in one place. Hence, this system can help students to solve daily management and increase their awareness of the importance of everyday life management as a student. Also, it can assist university students in managing their time management and arranging their tasks properly.
Although it is widely assumed that procrastination is counterproductive, delaying task progress may have hidden benefits for creativity. Drawing on theories of incubation, we propose that moderate ...procrastination can foster creativity when employees have the intrinsic motivation and opportunity to generate new ideas. In two experiments in the United States, we tempted participants to engage in varying degrees of procrastination by making different numbers of funny YouTube videos easily accessible while they were supposed to be solving business problems. Participants generated more creative ideas in the moderate rather than low or high procrastination conditions. This curvilinear effect was partially mediated by problem restructuring and the activation of new knowledge. We constructively replicated and extended the curvilinear effect in a field study with Korean employees: procrastination predicted lower task efficiency but had an inverted-U-shaped relationship with creativity. Employees who procrastinated moderately received higher creativity ratings from their supervisors than employees who procrastinated more or less, provided that intrinsic motivation or creative requirement was high. We discuss theoretical and practical implications for time management, creativity, and motivation in organizations.
Cyberloafing, a new type of deviant workplace behavior, has become widespread across organizations. Although there has been an increasing amount of research on cyberloafing, it is unclear whether its ...influence on employee task performance is linearly positive or negative. To reconcile such an inconsistency, we developed and tested a model, grounded in the effort-recovery model, considering a potential curvilinear relationship between cyberloafing and task performance while also examining the mediating role of relaxation. We further reasoned that this indirect curvilinear effect is contingent on employees’ time management skill. To test our theoretical model, we conducted two studies. In Study 1, multi-time data collected from 243 Master of Public Administration (MPA) students showed that cyberloafing had an inverted U-shaped (curvilinear) relationship with task performance, and relaxation mediated this relationship. In Study 2, using a sample of 392 public sector employees, we replicated the results of Study 1 and found that time management skill moderated the curvilinear effect of relaxation on task performance, as well as the indirect curvilinear effect of cyberloafing on task performance via relaxation. Theoretical contributions and managerial implications are further discussed.
The transition period of the online learning process from home creates an imbalance in school life and creates conditions of academic delay or procrastination among students. Based on previous ...research on 345 students at SMP Negeri 2 Jatisrono in February 2022, the results of student academic procrastination at the school were quite high. This community service activity aims to reduce the high level of student academic procrastination through time management training. The training was attended by 31 students at SMP Negeri 2 Jatisrono. The instrument used to measure the level of student academic procrastination is the academic procrastination scale. Measurements were carried out 2 times, namely before (pre test) and after (post test) training to determine the effectiveness of time management training in reducing the level of academic procrastination experienced by students. The results of data analysis using T-test showed a score of t = 40.83 with p = 0.000 (p <0.05), which means that there is a very significant decrease in academic procrastination after receiving time management training. In conclusion, time management training is very significantly effective in reducing academic procrastination in students at SMP Negeri 2 Jatisrono. Suggestions for further research is that this kind of training can be applied to other problems because it is able to reduce forms of negative behavior so that it can optimize learning outcomes and student achievement.
