The exploitation of archaeological areas as one of the elements of scenography is not new. Attempts have continued for a long time to employ them across different countries of the world (either in ...concerts or musical performances ... etc., but the method of exploiting them and integrating between the live elements of theatrical performance and the filmed elements and The use of non-professional youth as a kind of active participation between the audience and the performers in the performance of parts of the ceremonies and the combination of all these elements with lighting and filming for some parts of the show and the preparation of unprepared places such as the road of rams and ancient Egyptian temples in the pursuit of achieving Communicating with the public and gaining a new audience to bring about social changes represented by drawing attention to the importance of our cultural heritage, which will remain, through the ages, an important and pivotal factor in emphasizing national belonging. Supporting a sense of national identity and a sense of pride among the new generations because of what he focused on showing the beauty and grandeur of the ancient Egyptian architectural monuments, which witnessed the greatness of the Egyptian artist through the ages. This celebration was able to stir the stagnant waters in a new experience represented in a great celebration attended by the President of the Republic, the ministers, and many ambassadors of countries and important personalities, in addition to conveying the events of this celebration to the whole world in a way that differs from what was previously presented from parties in archaeological areas that were It is prepared as a theatrical model and mechanisms have been invented based on which this heritage area has been re-exploited by holding this opening under the auspices of the state and adopting and nurturing the creative talents of the Egyptian youth who have creative energies in various fields.
Despite the recognized advantages of the use of BIM in the field of architecture and engineering, the extension of this procedure to the architectural heritage is neither immediate nor critical. The ...uniqueness and irregularity of historical architecture, on the one hand, and the great quantity of information necessary for the knowledge of architectural heritage, on the other, require appropriate reflections. The aim of this paper is to define a general framework for the use of BIM procedures for architectural heritage. The proposed methodology consists of three different Level of Development (LoD), depending on the characteristics of the building and the objectives of the study: a simplified model with a low geometric accuracy and a minimum quantity of information (LoD 200); a model nearer to the reality but, however, with a high deviation between virtual and real model (LoD 300); a detailed BIM model that reproduce as much as possible the geometric irregularities of the building and is enriched by the maximum quantity of information available (LoD 400).
Architecture is a reflection of the civility and progress of people throughout the ages. Every nation has its own identity, physical and architectural character, which stems from the components of ...its civilization. Every society is governed by various religious, social, economic, climatic and other factors, which are distinct architectural and architectural features that demonstrate its architectural identity and the culture and specificity of society and its users. While attention is paid in some regions of cultural and cultural heritage to the economic, esthetic, architectural and architectural aspects of development, the lack of respect for social, human and cultural heritage and the lack of participation of society in this development by opinion or effort and the exploitation of this participation in the preservation and continuation of this development, As a historic area with heritage buildings rich in vocabulary and architectural and natural elements. The research problem is how to take advantage of the connection with the architectural legacy, especially with the emergence of the concept of sustainability, precisely its social dimension, which emphasizes the need to relate to the region's history. The importance of community participation in the development processes, preservation, and raising awareness of the cultural and architectural heritage, not only for the community but also the architects, for instance, some architects deal with these areas of the architectural heritage and its vocabulary, which are reflected in their architectural output. We find some buildings with different configurations that are separate from the urban and architectural surroundings of the heritage area through contrasting architectural formations and treatments that are heterogeneous to buildings or areas of nature, thus increasing the problem. The paper investigated specific current projects and examines how appropriate they are to the area's history, the surrounding environment and the adjacent heritage buildings. Research is divided into three main parts: The first part is a theoretical study that illustrates the importance of communication and the heritage of architectural civilization, emphasizing the importance of architectural character and composition as a necessary and influential pillar of society's culture. The second part is the selection and study of some recent public projects in the field of study. The third part is the design and application of a questionnaire for the region's inhabitants to examine their views on the extent to which such projects are relevant to the area.
Original timber stairwell doors in historic masonry apartment buildings of architectural heritage value can be found in the larger cities of Norway. In Oslo, there are around 4000 such buildings, of ...which many still hold preserved original stairwell doors. The doors often have glass with decorative patterns in the upper parts, and timber panels on the lower part. Old residential buildings are vulnerable to fire due to the building construction and need fire protection upgrades. The stairwell doors are critical elements to prevent fire spread and to keep evacuation routes safe, so their function and condition are important to the level of fire protection in the building. The research work in this paper aims to find retrofit methods for upgrading the fire resistance of these types of doors so they maintain their integrity and insulating properties for up to 30 minutes, at the same time as they maintain their architectural expression. The upgrades must be as little intrusive and destructive as possible. Intermediate scale tests were carried out in a fire resistance test furnace, using different door configurations. The tests lasted between 30 minutes and 42 minutes, with a thermal exposure from the standard time/temperature curve described in EN 1363-1. The results from the tests showed that 40 mm thick laminated wood could withstand up to 30 minutes of fire exposure, thin timber panels could be upgraded using stone wool and robust gypsum boards type R, and that fire-resistant glass could be mounted on the inside of the original glass in different ways. Visual observations indicate that adding smoke seals inside the door leaf are effective for stopping cold and hot smoke. The solutions presented enables the preservation of the original doors' architectural design, their historical values and aesthetic character.
Application of Building Information Modelling methodology, BIM, in the field of architectural heritage in recent years has generated a significant catalogue of experiences classified under the title ...Heritage Building Information Modelling, HBIM. However, these are disparate cases in terms of their scope and purpose without a specified general conceptual framework in which to define each case study. This article proposes a general characterization of HBIM, transferring two BIM concepts originally related to the production and management of new site architecture to the specific context of cultural heritage: BIM Dimensions and Level of Development, LOD, renamed as Level of Knowledge, LOK, for heritage application. According to this conceptual proposal, the HBIM model of the Charterhouse of Jerez has been generated, considering the information required for strategic planning of the main areas of action for heritage management: research, protection, conservation and dissemination.

•HBIM should be understood as a methodology for the comprehensive management of cultural heritage.•The definitions of BIM dimensions are extended to their heritage application in HBIM.•Levels of Knowledge (LOK) are defined in HBIM as LOD heritage application.•An LOK200 model of the Charterhouse of Jerez is presented, suitable for its Master Plan.
In the last decades, the introduction of geomatic technologies in the processes of documentation of built environment has revolutionized the field of morphometric documentation. These procedures have ...undoubtedly helped tangible Cultural Heritage, which in today's society plays an increasingly central role in socio-economic development and the reaffirmation of a country's cultural identity. This research aims to illustrate a management method for Architectural Heritage (AH) using innovative technologies, which allow determining the influence of geographic-environmental conditions on the processes of material and structural degradation of buildings. The case study on which this method was tested is the Facultad de Arte Teatral (FAT) of the Universidad de las Artes in La Habana (Cuba).
The article reflects the interim results of a study conducted by the authors within the framework of the scientific project “Architects and engineers of the eastern outskirts of Russia (second half ...of the 19th – early 20th centuries)”. On the basis of archival data and materials of field surveys, the authors present a systematized picture of the professional activity of the Chita architect, construction technician Fedor Evplovich Ponomarev. The surviving buildings of the architect are considered, the characteristic features of his work are revealed.
One of the most important problems encountered in Ankara following the declaration of the Republic was housing. The announcement of Ankara as the new capital led to a sharp rise in the population of ...the city, and the desire to accommodate for this rise in a manner suitable for a developing modern city means that Ankara has played a complementary role in the development of Turkish zoning perceptive, in terms of approaches and solutions to the housing problem. The city of Ankara, which plays a formulative role in the housing policies that are developed throughout the country, also hosted the first example of the land-infrastructure programs that were instigated following an appreciation of the housing of the Yenimahalle district. The zoning plans that had been developed by a number of institutions were combined together to resolve the housing problem, which means that the dwellings in the area are nationally unique in retaining some of the cultural, economical, political, scientific, and aesthetical properties of the era. However, since there were no preservation initiatives, most of the buildings constructed since 1948 have been demolished and replaced by apartments. Furthermore, no attempt has been made to preserve the 2.5% of the dwellings that still remain. This study is concerned with determining and documenting the remaining examples of detached houses in Yenimahalle, as well as identifying their problems in terms of originality, alteration, and deterioration, based on the current state of the buildings. The criteria required for the buildings to be accepted as being ‘valuable’ have been researched and evaluated in terms of both the architectural heritage determined for traditional buildings, and of their modern architectural heritage, as specified by Docomomo. Following the evaluation according to these criteria, suggestions for the protection of the buildings are presented.
The Arab region is rich in history, where many civilizations have experienced, so the current architectural heritage crisis in the Middle East is a complex and deep-rooted phenomenon, and requires ...progress towards understanding it with the contribution of heritage scholars and architecture ... Etc. in order to preserve the sustainability of the architectural and urban heritage in the areas of conflict, especially Al quds, where the occupation relied on the change of historical memory and identities through material and non-material heritage.Architecture is the main influence, as it is the physical record of peoples and civilizations, and this research comes to propose tools and ways to raise the awareness and knowledge of society and preserve the identity of the place in Al quds, it is the main step to preserve this heritage.Al quds has many neglected architectural heritage monuments as well as a disregard for sustainable heritage development for poor resources and wars. But there is no strategic plan between the official institutions and the rest of society, which leads to a big gap, and the failure to solve the problems of society with regard to the preservation of the Old City. Therefore, a large part of the responsibility for this failure rests with the official institutions that are supposed to be the initiators, and now lead the work in the field of urban conservation, this study examines the role of community awareness and participation in maintaining the sustainability of the architectural heritage of Al quds, in order to evaluate and propose some perceptions to increase their effectiveness as a factor of success. The study reached a number of results, the most important of which is that there is a significant lack of community participation in maintaining the architectural identity of heritage, which indicates a lack of awareness of the importance of architectural heritage, in addition to the lack of a strategic plan with the official institutions concerned to activate it and benefit from it. The study recommended the importance of community awareness of the importance of heritage, and the need to apply the principles of sustainability of urban heritage through the development of a unified strategy to activate the role of community participation
