This book (‘Type Index of Slovenian Folktales – Animal Tales and Fables’) is the first of the comprehensive body of systematization of Slovenian folktales along the lines of the latest, revised ...edition of the Types of International Folk Tales by Hans-Jörg Uther (2004). It includes Slovenian animal tales and fables that have been listed among the first 299 numbers of the international classification system. It contains archaic, internationally comparable material which was previously difficult to access and is now published for the first time in a comprehensive and systematic form. With the transfer of the latest scientific results to the Slovenian research sphere~additional studies and comments~and the application of the international classification system for the classification of material it greatly facilitates further development of the discipline while simultaneously including the Slovenian narrative tradition in a broader international context. Since each folktale type includes examples of folktales the book will also attract the attention of the general public.
Celem niniejszego tekstu uczyniłam refleksję nad procesem nabywania kompetencji kulturowej przez dorosłych użytkowników języka. Uczestnictwo w owym procesie pozwoliło na poznanie studenckich ...strategii czytania baśni w relacji z obrazem – rozrusznikiem wyobraźni. Rozważania, w oparciu o realizowaną obserwację uczestniczącą i badanie w działaniu – sytuuję w paradygmacie jakościowym. Interpretacje tekstów kultury, formułowane przez kandydatów na nauczycieli są „wypadkową”: 1) wzorców uformowanych za pośrednictwem doświadczanej uprzednio tradycyjnej edukacji oraz 2) uczestnictwa w sytuacji edukacyjnej pobudzającej proces nadawania znaczeń.
This article focuses on the Polish reception of Marie-Catherine d’Aulnoy’s fairy tales from the 18th century until the present day. It discusses their translations, as well as adaptations published ...with the erroneous attribution to Charles Perrault and texts loosely inspired by the work of the French conteuse. The latter’s diversity is mirrored by the varied reception, encompassing both simplified texts for children, and a moralizing-and-fantasy long poem. Nevertheless, the rococo fairy tales by Madame d’Aulnoy, displaying the esthetic ideals of 17th-century salons and engaging in an ironic game with the genre’s didactic convention, do not fit the frame of the evergreen stereotype of the fairy tale as a simple and morally unambiguous genre, intended first and foremost for children. The transgressive nature of Madame d’Aulnoy’s fairy tales may be the cause for their incomplete interpretations, as well as their limited and selective reception in Poland.
