Mirphab — Mid‐Infrared Photonics Devices Fabrication for Chemical Sensing and Spectroscopic Applications — is an EC funded project granted with € 13 m in a public‐private partnership with ...Photonics21, with the goal of creating a commercially viable pilot line for the fabrication of mid‐infrared sensors that is ready for business by 2020. Mirphab has launched its first open call.

Jones discusses the Hygeia magazine, published by the American Medical Association, but intended for perusal by the layman. The subtitle, "A Journal of Individual and Community Health," shows its ...scope, and, needless to say, the new journal has nothing in common with the usual type of health or physical culture magazine--which is too often edited from a cranky point of view or unduly commercialized. It is evident that the basic idea under this publication is the idea that medical service of any sort, individual or community, therapeutic or prophylactic, can only achieve the best results when the patient as well as the doctor is intelligent, when they meet on something in the nature of common ground
In recent years, with the rise of modern culture and the integration of global culture, the development of traditional culture has been a great impact. In order to make more and more people be ...attracted by traditional culture, the development of commercialization of traditional culture IP has become an inevitable trend and necessary means, and the mining and operation of traditional culture IP has also become an important topic of traditional culture units. As one of the most important commercial elements of cultural brands, Chinese creative products. The success of cultural innovation plays an important role in the commercialization of cultural IP. With the rise of the popular play culture and the popularity of the blind box in recent years, some cultural and travel organizations have followed the trend and started to make use of the dividend of the blind box economy to create the traditional cultural and creative play blind box. Based on the discussion of the marketing concept of cultural and creative blind box, this paper will study the influence of the mode of “cultural and creative + blind box” on the commercialization process of traditional culture by analysing the development status and future prospects of the commercialization of traditional culture IP and the feasibility of the marketing model of “cultural and creative + blind box”.
Colloidal quantum dots (QDs) exhibit tremendous potential in display technologies owing to their unique optical properties, such as size‐tunable emission wavelength, narrow spectral linewidth, and ...near‐unity photoluminescence quantum yield. Significant efforts in academia and industry have achieved dramatic improvements in the performance of quantum dot light‐emitting diodes (QLEDs) over the past decade, primarily owing to the development of high‐quality QDs and optimized device architectures. Moreover, sophisticated patterning processes have also been developed for QDs, which is an essential technique for their commercialization. As a result of these achievements, some QD‐based display technologies, such as QD enhancement films and QD‐organic light‐emitting diodes, have been successfully commercialized, confirming the superiority of QDs in display technologies. However, despite these developments, the commercialization of QLEDs is yet to reach a threshold, requiring a leap forward in addressing challenges and related problems. Thus, representative research trends, progress, and challenges of QLEDs in the categories of material synthesis, device engineering, and fabrication method to specify the current status and development direction are reviewed. Furthermore, brief insights into the factors to be considered when conducting research on single‐device QLEDs are provided to realize active matrix displays. This review guides the way toward the commercialization of QLEDs.

Among the existing energy storage technologies, lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs) have unmatched energy density and versatility. From the time of their first commercialization in 1991, the growth in LIBs ...has been driven by portable devices. In recent years, however, large‐scale electric vehicle and stationary applications have emerged. Because LIB raw material deposits are unevenly distributed and prone to price fluctuations, these large‐scale applications have put unprecedented pressure on the LIB value chain, resulting in the need for alternative energy storage chemistries. The sodium‐ion battery (SIB) chemistry is one of the most promising “beyond‐lithium” energy storage technologies. Herein, the prospects and key challenges for the commercialization of SIBs are discussed. By comparing the technological evolutions of both LIBs and SIBs, key differences between the two battery chemistries are unraveled. Based on outstanding results in power, cyclability, and safety, the path toward SIB commercialization is seen imminent.
Although research in lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs) and sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs) began at the same time, LIBs have evolved faster, driven by the growth in consumer electronics. Here the historic driving forces which led to two development paths for LIBs and SIBs are highlighted. As LIBs face resource challenges, the question is: can SIBs catch up and replace LIBs?
