The word “person” is generally used to refer to the existence of both humans and God. For humans, being a person means being able to think logically, have self-awareness, make free choices, and ...therefore be recognized morally and legally. The Christian faith believes in God as a Divine Person. The Dogma of the Trinity teaches faith in God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Three Persons of one nature. Christological dogma teaches that Jesus is a Person who has both divine and human natures. However, what is a person? Specifically, what is the Divine Person? The answer to those questions is found not in the Bible but in the philosophical and theological tracts. This article presents Richard of Saint Victor’s argument on the Divine Person. In his De Trinitate, he sees that the definition of the Divine Person can explain the mystery of the Trinity. Richard borrows this existing understanding, especially from that of Boethius. However, he also offers novelty, which is still relevant today, namely the Trinitarian God as a Divine Person with summa caritas, perfect co-love that is unselfish, non-exclusive, and embraces diversity.
AbstractChristianity in cultural life often fades cultural values that have a positive impact on human life. One of them is in the cultura of the Karo people, who recognize ancestral heritage called ...“rengget”. Rengget as a Karo work of art, related to singing and vocals contains many elements. However in reality the rengget or merengget culture is fading because Christian Karo Batak people consider to be un-Christian because of the dominative approach taken by Christianity. It can also point to a belief system, which is related to animism. Culturally, rengget has a deep meaning in life, especially for those who are grieving because of loss. Rengget becomes a mourning room for those who grieve. In addition, rengget can help grieving Karo Batak Christian to enter into an appreciation of the communio sanctorum contained in the Apostle’s Creed of Faith. AbstrakKristianitas dalam kehidupan budaya kerap memudarkan nilai-nilai budaya yang memiliki dampak positif bagi kehidupan manusia. Salah satunya dalam budaya masyarakat Karo, yang mengenal warisan leluhur bernama “rengget”. Rengget sebagai sebuah karya seni Karo, terkait dengan nyanyian dan vokal mengandung banyak unsur, seperti artikulasi, resonansi, intonasi, vokal, pernapasan, penekanan (cengkok) tubuh. Namun, faktanya budaya rengget atau merengget memudar karena orang-orang Batak Karo Kristen menganggap budaya rengget tidak kristiani karena pendekatan yang dilakukan oleh kekristenan yang dominatif. Juga dapat mengarahkan pada sistem kepercayaan, yang terkait animisme. Secara kultural, rengget memiliki makna mendalam dalam kehidupan, khususnya bagi mereka yang mengalami duka karena kehilangan. Rengget menjadi ruang ratap bagi yang berduka. Selain itu, rengget dapat menolong orang-orang Batak Karo Kristen yang berduka untuk memasuki penghayatan akan communio sanctorum yang terdapat dalam Pengakuan Iman Rasuli.

Moreover, it shows the centrality of the sensus fidei of the people of God (the sensus fidelium) within that vision, and the need to make listening to the sensus fidelium a pervasive element at all levels in the life of the church ad intra.
Proces sekularyzacji i relatywizacji życia współczesnego człowieka dotyka wierzących w ich doświadczeniu Kościoła. Jednocześnie zauważalne jest zainteresowanie duchowością, ale często o charakterze ...zindywidualizowanym i pozaeklezjalnym. Stąd wynika konieczność refleksji nad właściwym rozumieniem tożsamości i misji Kościoła. Adekwatnym pojęciem dla opisania tej tożsamości jest communio. Artykuł wyjaśnia właściwe jego rozumienie w kluczu biblijnym ze względu na wieloznaczność, która występuje w publikacjach z zakresu teologii, a także w naukach pozateologicznych. Szczególnego znaczenia nabiera ono na gruncie teologii duchowości, określając charakter jedności pomiędzy Bogiem a człowiekiem. Analiza Starego Testamentu odsłania istotne aspekty komunijne wynikające z Przymierza. Analiza Nowego Testamentu wskazuje zaś, że w Jezusie Chrystusie dokonała się pełnia komunijnego zjednoczenia, która znajduje swoją kontynuację w Kościele. Z tego względu duchowość chrześcijanina musi być interpersonalna, chrystocentryczna, chrystoformiczna oraz eklezjalna. Ten proces kształtuje życie moralne, znajdujące swoje odzwierciedlenie w życiu indywidualnym, społecznym, ekonomicznym, a nawet politycznym.
The COVID-19 pandemic has become a major event that affects many aspects of life, including church life. The church needs to adapt itself to the changes that occur while responding to various ...situations around it. This situation brings two questions for the church to reflect on, namely whether the church has been paying attention to the concrete issues around it and whether the church has truly been present for others. This paper aims to show that the post-pandemic church needs to be a church that is faithfully present for others. For that, I will discuss the impact of the pandemic on the church. Then, I will explore Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s view of the church for others and James Davison Hunter’s ideas about faithful presence. Both of them are trying to show a church that wants to be present in the midst of society with various dynamics of life. Finally, I discuss these two views to construct an incarnational, relational, and missional post-pandemic ecclesiology.
