The purpose of this paper is to analyze the suffixes which are used in Northern Samoyedic languages to build comparative constructions of equality. Depending on the language, the suffixes may perform ...three functions: word-building, form-building, and inflectional. When they mark the noun, they serve as simulative suffixes and are employed to build object comparison. In the inflectional function, these suffixes mark the verb and are a means of constructing situational comparison. In this case, they signal the formation of a special mood termed the Approximative. This paper provides a detailed description of the Approximative from paradigmatic and syntagmatic perspectives.
The article is devoted to the research of the peculiarities of the realization of the logical comparison model in the Russian simple sentence, which reflects comparative relations explicitly and ...implicitly. The description of simple sentences with different comparison indicators, widely displayed in the heroic legend “Maadai-Kara”, is discriminated as the ini-tial stage of the investigation of comparative constructions in the given text in the light of the modern anthropocentric congruence theory
In French, in some equative et comparative constructions, can be found, before the adverb of degree (or sometimes after it), an element which modifies this adverb, e.g. bien, beaucoup, d’autant… The ...present investigation is concerned with this modifier, which is analyzed and classified.
In the present paper “Similarities between Comparative and Exclamative Degree Markers: French ce and Spanish lo”, we first analyse the so-called pseudo-relativized phrasal comparative construction X ...que ce que P in French and X de lo que P in Spanish. We after compare the pseudo-relativized phrasal comparative construction properties with the properties of the exclamative French construction Ce que P! and of the Spanish one ¡Lo X que P ! whose form, degree reading, and some syntactic and semantic features are similar. We eventually conclude about the nature of que/que, introducing both subordinate constructions, as a complementizer (and not a Wh- item).
Dans cet article “Analogies entre marqueurs de degré comparatif et exclamatif : ce et lo du français et de l’espagnol ”, nous analysons d’abord le comportement de “La comparative pseudo-relative X que ce que P du français et de son analogue en espagnol : X de lo que P. Puis nous comparons les propriétés de cette comparative pseudo-relative à celles de la construction exclamative Ce que P ! du français et ¡Lo X que P ! de l’espagnol qui présentent, outre la forme et l’interprétation de degré, une parenté étroite de traits syntaxiques et sémantiques avec la comparative pseudo-relative de ces deux langues. Nous concluons sur la nature de la forme que/que introductrice de toutes ces subordonnées en faveur de la solution conjonction complétive (et non pronom relatif).
