This article is dealing with the issue of talents recruitment and selection, as the essential element of ensuring organizational competitiveness. In this context, we intend to show the importance of ...the recruitment and selection of talents that makes the difference between organizations. In order to attract more talents, organizations should undertake concrete strategies of attracting talents and to develop the employer’s brand. The recruitment and selection of talents is also influenced by factors such as: demography, labor mobility, the changing business environment, etc. Moreover, the Moldovan demographic issues and awareness of the importance of human resources on the part of senior management have led to the need to approach this problem. The selection of talents in organizations can be achieved by applying a big variety of criteria. That’s why, in order to identify criteria for selecting talents in Moldovan organizations, has been realized a sociological survey by questionnaire. This survey covered 152 organizations from Republic of Moldova.
The paper presents the role of corporate social responsibility in building employer's brand. By reaching this goal, we propose two studies: (1) a conceptual model regarding ways to build employer's ...brand and to support this, (2) a qualitative research that aims to investigate what the main characteristics of a responsible employer are and what the sources of attractiveness for the Romanian employers are. The article proposes a new vision on the ways that an employer can retain and attract talented employees, by pointing out how social responsibility differentiates an employer's image. The research conducted highlights that employees consider important that companies should implement socially responsible activities and would like to be involved. The formulation of CSR strategies should be based on satisfying employees' altruistic needs and expectation, which would be reflected in the overall performance of the company. PUBLICATION ABSTRACT
Employer brands are one tool that scholars and the popular press have increasingly pointed to as a means for companies to differentiate themselves and gain a competitive advantage in attracting ...talent. This chapter explores the emerging literature on employer brands and employer brand equity and proposes future research directions. It first reviews key concepts from consumer brand equity to provide theoretical background from marketing. Second, it connects these concepts with the extant literatures on decision making and job search and choice to identify how employer brands may affect individuals who may be either actively or passively searching for new jobs. Third, based on research and theories from the literatures on marketing and recruitment, it identifies how firms can effectively develop strong employer brands that help to attract talent to the organization. Finally, this chapter proposes future research drawing from a constructive choice-goals framework that may continue to build our knowledge in the area of employer brands and applicant attraction.
Methodical approaches to evaluation of strategic positions of the employer’s brand and its competitiveness are substantiated. Comparative analysis as an approach to the evaluation of the employer’s ...brand is considered. The advantages of having an employer’s brand in the organization are allocated and the most important elements in the process of forming the employer’s brand are defined. The research on instruments of formation of both internal and external brand of employer for the retail shops network «Prego» was carried out. The employer’s brand strength is evaluated according to the main points of a specialist contact with the employer’s company. An assessment of factors of external and internal brand of employer was carried out. A system of criteria for evaluating the competitiveness of the company’s employer brand has been formed. The strategic positions of the employer’s brand of the «Prego» store chain in the retail sector were evaluated.
