Trace elements in high concentrations in soils are food toxins with negative effects on health that manifest themselves in the long term as a result of the consumption of contaminated food and water. The objective of this work is: to study mathematical models to predict the behavior of cobalt, lead and zinc concentrations in agricultural soil, adjacent to the dumping of industrial waste in the San Jose de las Lajas municipality. For this, the concentration data of heavy metals cobalt (Co), lead (Pb) and zinc (Zn) were taken from the year 2005 to the year 2018 to predict their behavior from the use of statistical-mathematical tools until the year 2034. It was obtained that, according to the mathematical models obtained, these soils should not be used to grow vegetables for consumption, at least until 10 years after this investigation.

Amaç - Bu araştırmanın amacı, "yeşil inovasyon" konusunu işleyen makalelerin içeriğinin çeşitli değişkenler aracılığıyla incelenmesidir. Yöntem - Çalışmada işletmeler adına önem arz eden ve çevreye ...karşı duyarlı bir işletmecilik anlayışının akademide ne derece çalışıldığının tespiti için bibliyometrik analiz yapılmıştır. Araştırmada veriler Scopus veri tabanında "green innovation" anahtar kelimesi ile yapılan tarama sonucunda elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen 414 makale R yazılımı kullanılarak yazar sayısı, en çok yayın yapan yazarlar, yayımlandığı yıl, yayımlandığı ülke ve yayımlandığı dergi değişkenleri çerçevesinde incelemeye tabi tutulmuştur. Bulgular - Yapılan inceleme sonucunda elde edilen verilere göre makalelerin %71'i iki, üç ve dört yazarlıdır. Makale sayısında 2016 yılından sonra önemli bir artış görülmektedir. Makalelerin yayımlandığı ülke bazında ise başı Çin çekmektedir. Sustainability ve Strategy and the Environment dergileri alanda en çok yayın yapılan dergilerdir. Sonuç - Sonuç olarak ekolojik krizin topluma yansımasının gündelik yaşamda da hissedilmeye başlanmasıyla birlikte işletmelerin toplumsal sorumluluk bağlamında yeşil inovasyona yönelik ilgilerinin arttığı görülmektedir.

En la agricultura actual es necesario controlar la inocuidad de los alimentos que se producen, para ello es vital tener en cuenta los niveles de contaminacion que provocan los metales pesados. Un aspecto a considerar es el estudio de calidad del suelo para conservar o mejorar su productividad, de forma que se garantice la proteccion ambiental, la salud humana y la seguridad alimentaria. Elementos traza en concentraciones elevadas en suelos son toxicos alimentarios con efectos negativos sobre la salud que se manifiestan a largo plazo como resultado del consumo de aguas y alimentos contaminados. El presente trabajo plantea como objetivo: estudiar modelos matematicos para predecir el comportamiento de las concentraciones de cobalto, plomo y zinc en un suelo agricola, aledano al vertimiento de residuos industriales en el municipio San Jose de las Lajas. Para ello se tomaron los datos de concentracion de metales pesados cobalto (Co), plomo (Pb) y zinc (Zn) desde el ano 2005 al ano 2018 para predecir su comportamiento a partir del uso de herramientas estadistico-matematicas hasta el ano 2034. Se obtuvo que, segun los modelos matematicos obtenidos, estos suelos no deban emplearse para cultivar hortalizas con objeto de consumo, al menos hasta 10 anos despues de esta investigacion. The growing importance attributed to the environment and sustainability reflects a global development scenario considered "unsustainable". The ecofeminist theory presents itself as an instrument of ...contribution to sustainability, which aims at equality, the defense of the environment and the improvement of living conditions. However, the role of women in this context is underestimated. Thus, the research problem presented arises: can ecofeminism boost sustainable development? The hypothesis is that women are becoming protagonists in the environmental protection scenario, highlighting the relevance of the ecofeminist movement for environmental preservation and sustainable development, despite the gap in Brazilian legislation. It is concluded that ecofeminism is vital for sustainable development, but that Brazilian legislation does not adequately recognize ecofeminism nor include women in environmental debates. The deductive method and bibliographical research were used, with an emphasis on doctrine and legislation.
The act of volunteering for environmental causes is a multifaceted phenomenon that offers dual benefits: it not only fosters individual health and well-being but also instills and reinforces ...pro-environmental attitudes and behaviors, essential for the conservation and protection of our planet. The trend of civic participation in such volunteer activities has seen a notable upsurge in Taiwan, signaling a positive shift towards environmental consciousness.
To capture the essence of this shift and to ensure the sustainability of these voluntary acts, it is imperative to unravel the motivations that drive individuals to consistently dedicate their time and effort to environmental management. This study casts a comprehensive net over the motivations and barriers influencing environmental volunteers in Taipei City. Employing a robust mixed-methods approach, it synthesizes data from 1081 surveyed participants and insights from 10 in-depth interviews. The research meticulously examines how environmental volunteerism correlates the attitudes towards environmental protection and the cultivation of environmental citizenship.
The insights gleaned are poised to serve as a strategic compass for policymakers and environmental custodians, equipping them to enhance the capacity and effectiveness of organizations dedicated to the cause of environmental sustainability. The implications of this research extend beyond immediate organizational benefits, as it lays the groundwork for a more engaged and environmentally responsible society.

This paper summarizes the progress of some PbTe based thermoelectric materials in recent ten years, including the influence of doping elements such as Na, S, Sr and I on their thermoelectric properties, and introduces a method to balance their mechanical and thermoelectric properties. It can be seen that PbTe based thermoelectric materials have good development and broad application prospects in the future.

We are saddened to witness the recent erosion of US international leadership in environmental health. Yale University's environmental performance index rates countries across a range of environmental ...health programs. In 2018, the United States ranked 27th out of 180 countries (https: // bit.ly/36ip7F0). Controlling for the strong relationship between wealth and environmental programs, the United States now ranks last compared with its affluent peers in Western Europe, Asia/Pacific, and Canada. While the United States ranks high in those areas addressed from the 1970s-for example, air quality, water, and sanitation-it ranks poorly with regard to climate change and other new challenges.
The efficacy of a vertical environmental protection system in managing transboundary pollution has not been extensively explored. Through a quasi-natural experiment facilitated by China's six ...environmental protection inspection centers (EPICs), this study assesses their impact on boundary pollution intensity and compares it with their effect on non-boundary pollution intensity. The findings demonstrate that the institution of EPICs significantly mitigates the intensity of boundary pollution, with a more pronounced reduction effect compared to non-boundary areas. Analysis of mechanisms reveals that both boundary and non-boundary enterprises achieve a reduction in pollution intensity through the enlargement of production capacities, enhancement of investments in pollution control, and a decrease in total pollution emissions. Given that boundary enterprises exhibit a greater magnitude in reducing total pollution emissions, the resultant effect on pollution intensity reduction is more significant among these entities. Furthermore, heterogeneity analysis indicates that the impact of EPICs on reducing pollution intensity is more substantial among samples with minimal political connections, elevated political incentives, and within heavily polluting industries, with boundary enterprises experiencing a more pronounced influence. This article unveils that strengthening coordination between central and local authorities, alongside fostering corporate actual investment in environmental protection, serves as pivotal mechanisms, offering innovative strategies for global environmental governance and advancing both the practice and theory of sustainable development.
