Heat shock protein 90 (Hsp90) is an ATP-dependent molecular chaperone which is essential in eukaryotes. It is required for the activation and stabilization of a wide variety of client proteins and ...many of them are involved in important cellular pathways. Since Hsp90 affects numerous physiological processes such as signal transduction, intracellular transport, and protein degradation, it became an interesting target for cancer therapy. Structurally, Hsp90 is a flexible dimeric protein composed of three different domains which adopt structurally distinct conformations. ATP binding triggers directionality in these conformational changes and leads to a more compact state. To achieve its function, Hsp90 works together with a large group of cofactors, termed co-chaperones. Co-chaperones form defined binary or ternary complexes with Hsp90, which facilitate the maturation of client proteins. In addition, posttranslational modifications of Hsp90, such as phosphorylation and acetylation, provide another level of regulation. They influence the conformational cycle, co-chaperone interaction, and inter-domain communications. In this review, we discuss the recent progress made in understanding the Hsp90 machinery.

This book investigates the discursive and performative strategies employed by Australian Indigenous rappers to make sense of the world and establish a position of authority over their identity and ...place in society. Focusing on the aesthetics, the language, and the performativity of Hip Hop, this book pays attention to the life stance, the philosophy, and the spiritual beliefs of Australian Indigenous Hip Hop artists as ‘glocal’ producers and consumers. With Hip Hop as its main point of analysis, the author investigates, interrogates, and challenges categories and preconceived ideas about the critical notions of authenticity, ‘Indigenous’ and dominant values, spiritual practices, and political activism. Maintaining the emphasis on the importance of adopting decolonizing research strategies, the author utilises qualitative and ethnographic methods of data collection, such as semi-structured interviews, informal conversations, participant observation, and fieldwork notes. Collaborators and participants shed light on some of the dynamics underlying their musical decisions and their view within discussions on representations of ‘Indigenous identity and politics’. Looking at the Indigenous rappers’ local and global aspirations, this study shows that, by counteracting hegemonic narratives through their unique stories, Indigenous rappers have utilised Hip Hop as an expressive means to empower themselves and their audiences, entertain, and revive their Elders’ culture in ways that are contextual to the society they live in.

In this paper, we construct a realization problems involving connected outer-hop independent hop domination and we determine its connections with other known parameters in graph theory. In ...particular, given two positive integers a and b with 2 ≤ a ≤ b are realizable as the connected hop domination, connected outer-hop independent hop domination, and connected outer-independent hop domination numbers, respectively, of a connected graph. In addition, we characterize the connected outer-hop independent hop dominating sets in some families of graphs, join and corona of two graphs, and we use these results to derive formulas for the parameters of these graphs.
Described in the article is the territorial distribution of the area of cultivated hops and hop production by the countries of the world, including the development and the grounds for their ...distribution. In the monitored period, the world area of cultivated hops decreased significantly, by more than a quarter. However, world hop production has grown little due to a substantial increase in hop yields. The area of cultivated hops and hop production are currently highly concentrated in the nine main hop producing countries. Roughly two thirds of the current area and three quarters of current production worldwide is attributable to the USA and Germany. Production increased in New Zealand, the USA, and to a lesser extent in Germany and Poland, while Australia, Czechia, Slovenia and especially China and the United Kingdom reduced production. Hop growing is very important for the agriculture of Germany, Czechia, and in particular Slovenia. These countries have the highest values of monitored hop indicators per capita, including hop export. The development of hop production in the coming years will depend on the introduction of new high-yielding hop varieties and enlargement or reduction of the area of cultivated hops in connection with hop price changes, profitability of hop growing and demand of breweries.
