As the global population continues to age, the need for care of chronic urologic conditions will increase. Role expansion represents the capacity of nurses to stand among their global nursing peer ...group as expert nurses, with the opportunity to contribute to the care of their country's citizens, a position strongly advocated for nurses by the World Health Organization (WHO). Expanding the role of nurses can contribute to national goals for care to shift to the outpatient arena. This article offers evidence that there is support for nursing role expansion within urology clinical environments.

Theories from occupational wellbeing posit that more satisfied workers perform better in their jobs. We tested this hypothesis by applying regression analyses to TALIS video study data (17,554 ...pupils; 670 teachers), exploring the association between teacher job satisfaction and lesson quality as judged from multiple perspectives. While more satisfied teachers tend to rate the quality of their lessons more highly, the relationship is much weaker when using pupil reports and those of expert observers. There is no evidence that teacher job satisfaction is related to pupil outcomes. Policymakers should focus instead on the importance of job satisfaction for teacher retention.

La Teoría de la Psicología del Trabajo es ...una perspectiva teórica de la carrera y el trabajo, que incluye a los trabajadores formales e informales. Para llenar un vacío en instrumentos de satisfacción laboral, se adaptó la Escala General de Satisfacción Laboral con muestra de 1309 trabajadores, un estudio encuesta con dos oleadas de recolección. En la primera muestra de 709 trabajadores, exploró la estructura interna y la precisión mediante procedimientos factoriales exploratorios. La segunda muestra de 600, se reevaluó la estructura unidimensional mediante procedimientos factoriales confirmatorios e invariancia configuracional, métrica y escalar de clase social subjetiva (alta y baja), género (hombre y mujer) y naturaleza del trabajo (formal y informal y fuera del mercado formal). Los resultados mostraron buenas propiedades psicométricas, invariancia y adaptación para diferentes trabajadores.

Some 75% of people who aren't happy with their level of flexibility said they will look for new jobs, according to Future Forum research. A company driven by measuring outcomes instead of monitoring employees will allow for flexibility about where and even when people work. Most people want some time together with their teams and some time at home. Teams that figure out a regular rhythm that works for them perform best.

Job attitudes research is arguably the most venerable and popular topic in organizational psychology. This article surveys the field as it has been constituted in the past several years. Definitional ...issues are addressed first, in an attempt to clarify the nature, scope, and structure of job attitudes. The distinction between cognitive and affective bases of job attitudes has been an issue of debate, and recent research using within-persons designs has done much to inform this discussion. Recent research has also begun to reformulate the question of dispositional or situational influences on employee attitudes by addressing how these factors might work together to influence attitudes. Finally, there has also been a continual growth in research investigating how employee attitudes are related to a variety of behaviors at both the individual and aggregated level of analysis.
This article investigates the correlation between work engagement and work-related quality of life among nursing staff at a public hospital in Sao Paulo State, at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. ...A descriptive, correlational, cross-sectional study of nursing personnel was conducted from December 2020 to January 2021, using the Brazilian versions of the Work & Well-being Survey (Utrecht Work Engagement Scale - UWES) and the Work-related Quality of Life (WRQoL) scale, following Walton's model. Nursing staffs returned a strong positive correlation (r>0.70) between the social integration domain of the WRQoL and the vigour dimension of the UWES (r=0.88; p=<0.001); a moderate positive correlation (rgreater than or equal to0.40less than or equal to0.69) between working conditions (WRQOL) and the vigour (r=0.40; p<0.001), dedication (r=0.40; p<0.001) and overall score (r=0.41; p<0.001) dimensions of the UWES. Correlations were positive and weak (rless than or equal to0.39) for the other WRQoL domains and the UWES dimensions. It was concluded that personnel with satisfactory levels of quality of life tend to show higher levels of engagement at work. At the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, nursing professionals were strongly engaged and satisfied with their work-related quality of life.
O tema satisfação no trabalho tornou-se, no decorrer dos anos, objeto de vários estudos; isso ocorreu, sobretudo, pela necessidade da valorização do trabalhador nas organizações, uma vez que a ...satisfação ou insatisfação influi diretamente no sucesso de qualquer organização. Diante disso, objetivou-se analisar o nível de satisfação no trabalho em propriedades rurais localizadas no município de Rio Brilhante/MS. Para a coleta de dados, utilizou-se um questionário estruturado, desenvolvido de acordo com a escala multidimensional EST-Reduzida. Os resultados constataram de modo unânime um padrão de nível de satisfação para ambas as propriedades. Entretanto, verificou-se que a propriedade A apresentou o menor escore médio na dimensão 1 - Satisfação com os colegas (4,62), assim como a propriedade B, na dimensão 3 - Satisfação com a chefia (4,83), sendo pertinente aos gestores criarem medidas mitigadoras para a sua correção, haja vista tais resultados serem fatores que poderão prejudicar o desempenho das propriedades.

Role stress occurs when individuals' responsibilities are ambiguous or in conflict with their role expectations. Purpose: Using the theory of role dynamics (37), this study explored role stress and ...job satisfaction among sport providers (n = 195). The purpose of this study was to determine whether commonly education, training, and other variables impacted role stress, and whether role stress impacted job satisfaction among sport providers. Methods: The researchers used Bowling et al.'s (10) role stressors scale to measure role stressors and Spector's (57) Job Satisfaction Survey to assess job satisfaction, along with demographic information, length of time in the role, level of education, and job training. Results/Conclusions: Findings indicated that education and job trainings were not significant predictors of role stress or job satisfaction, but other variables were found to be significant. Implications and recommendations for future studies are further discussed. Applications in Sport: These findings indicate that newer and younger coaches may require some support from sport managers. Additional applications discussed in the manuscript.
