V pričujočem prispevku skušam strniti nekaj misli o specifičnih elementih erotičnega imaginarija epizode o Moreju in Halkomedeji v Nonosovem Epu o Dionizu, to sta motiv kače, varuhinje devištva, in ...motiv nekrofilije.
Introduction
This study aimed to assess senior dental students' knowledge and attitudes regarding evidence‐based dentistry (EBD), their use of the current literature and considerations for patient ...preferences.
Materials and Methods
A modified Knowledge, Attitudes, Access, and Confidence Evaluation (KACE) survey was administered to collect data from senior dental students at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry (UMSOD). The chi‐squared test was used to compare the correct response rates of each question in the knowledge of scientific evidence domain. Spearman's rank correlation coefficient was conducted to examine correlations between students' knowledge of scientific evidence and their confidence in appraising the study qualities.
Results
61 seniors (out of 130) answered all survey questions. Participants displayed an intermediate level of knowledge of EBD. Only 15% of participants correctly answered to the most appropriate design; the distribution of responses appeared significantly different amongst the questions in the basic knowledge section (chi‐squared test, p < .0001). There was no or very weak correlation between students' knowledge of scientific evidence and their confidence in appraising study qualities (Spearman's ρ = 0–0.18). The participants highly valued the use of the current literature and patient preferences. However, their preferred sources of scientific evidence were the Internet excluding Cochrane reviews (60%) and colleagues (56%). Forty per cent of participants rarely or never used textbooks.
Conclusion
Whilst seniors felt confident in evaluating study qualities and implementing EBD in routine practice, their understanding of the study design was poor. Seniors' preferred sources of scientific evidence were non–peer‐reviewed Internet sources and colleagues.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate whether current educational strategies at a dental institution in the United States made a difference in dental hygiene (DNHY) and dental students' (D3) ...learning outcomes in the four domains of evidence-based practice (EBP), knowledge, attitude, accessing evidence, and confidence (KACE), following a 12-week research design course.
All participants DNHY (n=19) and D3 (n=96) enrolled in the research design course at Loma Linda University completed a paper KACE survey distributed on the first day of class. Students completed the KACE survey once more at the end of the 12-week course. Pre- and post-survey results were compared both within and between the DNHY and D3 student groups to identify the learning outcomes in the four domains of EBP; knowledge, attitude, accessing evidence, and confidence in EBP. Descriptive statistics were conducted to profile all variables in the study; the level of significance was set at α=0.05.
All DNHY students (n=19) completed the pre and post KACE surveys; of the D3 (n=96) students enrolled in the course 82% (n=79) competed the post-survey. Comparison of the survey results showed that both DNHY and D3 students demonstrated statistically significant increases in their level of knowledge and attitude (p < 0.05) towards EBP. In the attitude domain, DNHY students indicated more positive attitudes towards EBP (p < 0.001) than their D3 student cohorts. Neither group demonstrated significant changes in confidence in applying EBP (p > 0.05).
DNHY and D3 students increased their knowledge and developed more positive attitudes towards EBP following a 12-week research design course. Study results identify improvement areas for EBP knowledge acquisition including determining levels of evidence, analysis of study results, and evaluating the appropriateness of research study designs through the use of validated EBP survey instrument.
In demanding academic environments students expect 100% uptime. It is rarely the case when dealing with school technology including Macs, PCs, printers, servers, complex networks and numerous ...peripherals that everything will be working correctly. Given our customers desired reliability how do we meet their expectations? We make use of a variety of software packages to identify potential problems before they impact students. These software packages focus on security state, application status, network connectivity and usage patterns. Through a combination of hot-swappable hardware, checklists, scheduled inspections and results from our monitoring software our dedicated staff is able to minimize perceived system downtime. Our student support and student experience staff gather regular feedback from the student body. This feedback coupled with our monitoring software and a student satisfaction survey is able to gauge our results. It is not possible to provide 100% uptime but by our constant monitoring and quick response we are able to give that illusion. To achieve this it is important to define your institutional goals and make sure you have the infrastructure in place which meets your unique needs.
Oct. 21--MERIDIAN --The stretch of shutouts came to an abrupt end on Friday as the Burley boys were defeated by the Sandpoint Bulldogs 3-2 in sudden-death overtime at the Boise Capitals Soccer ...Complex in Meridian. The loss knocked the Bobcats out of contention for the Class 4A state title. Ten minutes later, midfielder Martin Hernandez saw a clearing from about 25 yards out and took an unassisted goal. At 2-0, Burley looked safe, but the Bobcats defense was overpowered as Sandpoint scored two of its own unanswered goals. Alex Crossingham made a direct kick in the 63rd minute and a solo shot in the 72nd minute.

Perry and 14-year-old Teal N. Rutley pleaded guilty in May to attempted first-degree theft in the Riverfront Park attack. They had been charged with attempted first-degree robbery, but were allowed ...to plead to the reduced charge in exchange for their promise to testify against co-defendant Ramsey Alden Morin, 23. Perry was sentenced to 30 days of detention and 56 hours of community service with credit for 41 days already served. If convicted of his new charge -- second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm -- Perry faces a standard maximum sentence of 30 days in detention, 150 hours of community service and a year of probation. Shane Brown told police he ran from his attackers, but Morin gave chase and stabbed him in his lower back. A police dog tracked down Perry and Rutley in another part of the park.
Dr. Kace Ezzet reviewed 561 articles and scientific presentations on adult lower extremity orthopedic research from two major American orthopedic journals and two major American orthopedic meetings, ...including last year's AAOS conference.
As New Hampshire's economy continues to boom, companies' payrolls are growing as well. And that means there are not only more jobs at the rank-and-file level, but in the managerial ranks as well. But ...who are the people who get the middle-and upper-management positions -- the big jobs that pay $50,000 a year and more? "In a majority of cases, companies prefer hiring state residents. The simple reason is it is cheaper," said Walter D. Kilian, the founder of Availability, the state's oldest management recruiting firm under the same ownership. His Bedford-based firm leans toward manufacturing and technology work, but deals in all aspects of middle- and upper-management placement. According to Kilian, 65 percent of his placements come from New Hampshire. (excerpt)
