Objective. The purpose of this study is to highlight some of the methods for the correct development of body mobility for karate training in order to achieve sports performance. Methods. Since the ...concept of mobility is not applied methodically in karate, and the stretching principles are practically unknown, I have presented in this paper a compendium of exercises that contribute to the development of mobility and a karate- shotokan application program, starting from methodical and anatomical principles on the basis of basic training in athletics and gymnastics. The research was carried out in two stages: the first stage was to determine the individual level of body mobility of the subjects and the second stage to be carried out for eight months and to evaluate the final progress achieved after observing the training method I proposed to develop the mobility of karate- shotokan practitioners. Results. In order to ascertain whether the progress made by the experimental group is significant, trustworthy and that they are not due to chance, but to our intended action, we calculated the statistical index "t" (STUDENT test). The differences in the value of the results obtained between the averages of the two tests Ti (initial test) and Tf (final test) are significant, certainly 95%. Cowclusiows. Considering the fact that after the final testing a good homogeneity of the team can be ascertained as well as an important increase of the statistical indices, we can conclude that the actuation systems applied in the experiment were well selected. It is very important to ensure through a logical and well-thought-out training the development of all the elements that contribute to the sporting form of a karate- ka including mobility. The aim of this study is to examine the aggression tendencies of elite karate athletes according to some variables. The sample group of the study was composed of 160 karate athletes selected ...voluntarily among 400 karate athletes who reached the level of nationality. In the study, the participants were asked to fill in the socio-demographic information form and the Buss and Perry Aggression scale. The analysis of the data was done in computer environment. The arithmetic mean and standard deviation of the scores the participants got from the scale are presented as x±sd. For paired comparisons, t-test for independent variables and anova were used for more than two comparisons. LSD test was applied to reveal a significant difference in more than two comparisons. The level of significance was accepted as p <0.05. As a result, karateists aggressive tendencies are above average, A statistically significant difference was found among the subtitles in physical aggression, physical aggression and aggression total scores according to nationality of according to gender. It is thought that this situation is caused by the physical and psychological influences of elite athletes are exposed to before, during or after the competition.
The increasing interest in karate has also attracted the attention of researchers, especially in combining the equipment used by practitioners with technology to prevent injuries, improve technical ...skills and provide appropriate scoring. Contrary to the sport of taekwondo, the development of a smart body protector in the sport of karate is still a niche field to be researched. This study focused on developing piezoresistive, textile-based pressure sensors using piezoresistive film, conductive fabric as well as different bonding materials and methods. Primarily, small-scale sensors were produced using ultrasonic welding, hot press welding and oven curing. These were characterized using a universal testing machine and specific conditioning and data-acquisition hardware combined with custom processing software. Large-scale sensors were then manufactured to be placed inside the karate body protector and characterized using cyclic testing. The conditioning circuit allows flexible gain adjustment, and it was possible to obtain a stable signal with an output of up to 0.03 V/N, an adequate signal for the tested force range. The transfer function shows some drift over the cycles, in addition to the expected hysteresis and slight nonlinearity, which can be compensated for. Finally, the configuration with the best results was tested in real practice tests; during these tests the body protector was placed on a dummy as well as on a person. The results showed that the piezoresistive textile-based pressure sensor produced is able to detect and quantify the impact of even light punches, providing an unobtrusive means for performance monitoring and score calculation for competitive practice of this sport.

Background: Dynamic balance is a crucial variable in lower limb maneuvering in different age groups and different sports, and is a framework for other movements in adulthood. Therefore, the present ...study was conducted to determine the effect of basic karate exercises on children's dynamic balance. Methods: The sample size consisted of 30 boys aged 6 to 12 years (8.7 ± 1.47) without any experience in karate practice, which was purposefully selected from the students in the city of Sedeh, that they were matched into two experimental (n=15) and control (n=15) groups after taking the balance pre-test (5-line star test). The experimental group performed basic karate exercises at the level of the yellow belt for four weeks (3 sessions of 90 minutes), and the control group performed, physical training exercises and school games. The post-test was taken at the end of the training session. Results: Mixed analysis of variance showed that the main effect of time (p=0.001) and group (p= 0.048) was significant. The results of paired t-test showed there was a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores in the experimental group (P= 0.001). Also, the independent t-test showed experimental group compared to the control was a higher score in the post-test (p=0.01). Conclusions: Based on the research findings, it can be suggested that physical education instructors and teachers can use it to improve the dynamic balance in their students due to the ease of performing karate exercises and no need for special facilities.
