Odevanjem tela, oduvek je bilo moguće slati određene poruke okolini. Uostalom, o komunikacionoj sposobnosti odeće pisali su mnogi teoretičari. Simbolički potencijal odevnih formi vezivan je i za ...njihove drevne oblike. Savremene studije mode tumače odevni predmet kao tekst, putem kojeg se konstruiše i izražava specifičan kulturalni identitet. Kako se identiteti trenutno realizuju kroz čin izvođenja procesa poistovećivanja sa stvarnim ili idealnim subjektom, moda u svakom pojedinačnom vizuelnom stvaranju subjekta, kao identiteta date uloge, ima naročit značaj. U skladu s tim i odevanje tela se posmatra kao jedno od raspoloživih sredstava rodne identifikacije, kao i načina potvrđivanja subjekta putem izvođenja zastupničke uloge muškarca i žene. Budući da izvođenje određene uloge, u konkretnom slučaju, podrazumeva postojanje subjekta kao događaja (tekstualne) uloge, sfera odevne mode u ovom radu povezuje se primarno sa sferom prikazivanja subjekta, kao pripadnika određene rodne kategorije. Odeća se posmatra kao jedan u nizu instrumenata rodne naturalizacije, u smislu odevne moći ka održavanju, izvođenju i prikazivanju stabilnosti rodnih normi. S tim u vezi, u ovom radu razmatraće se uvek aktuelna pitanja postojanja utvrđenih granica muške i ženske mode, muških i ženskih odevnih ukrasa i boja, ali i društveno prihvatljivih muških i ženskih odevnih formi.
Contemporary studies of fashion interpret articles of clothing as text, through which a specific cultural identity is constructed and expressed. As identities are momentarily realized through the ...performative act of identifying with a real or ideal subject, fashion has a special significance in every visual creation of a subject as the identity of a given role. In accordance with this, the dressing of the body is viewed as one of the available means of gender identification, as well as a way to confirm the subject through the performing of the assigned role of man and woman. Seeing as the performance of a certain role, in this specific case, entails the existence of the subject as event (of a textual) role, the sphere of clothing fashion is in this paper primarily connected to the sphere of representing the subject as member of a gender category. Clothing is viewed as one in a slew of instruments of gender naturalization, in the sense of the power which clothing has for upholding, performing and displaying the stability of gender norms. Hence, this paper will consider always current issues of the existence of established boundaries of male and female fashion, male and female clothing ornaments and colors, as well as socially acceptable male and female forms of clothing.
War in Italy by Jack Kros is the eighth release in the "South Africans at war" series which is currently being published by Ashanti Publishers, The book comes in a hardcover edition which boasts many ...photographs and maps, some of which have not been published before. The Ashanti series as a whole undoubtedly contributes to a greater awareness of South Africa's often understated contribution to some of the major global conflicts of the 20th century although at times, many of the authors are guilty of tending toward a journalistic approach rather than an historical one. This is also true of Jack Kros, who is a journalist and as such he remains true to his profession. This however should not disqualify Kros or detract from his ablity. A point in his favour is that he flew with the SAAF during World War Two, and consequently he delivers a lively and empathetic account of that War.
The brand image of traditional Danish inns (known as kros) was evaluated through their brand personality, brand snapshot and brand identity profile. These were established from in depth interviews ...with 26 customers at representative kros and 4 potential customers interviewed at other locations. The brand personality was an older man or woman, hard-working, warm and friendly, but unsophisticated and difficult for customers to identify with directly. The brand snapshot of a kro was an old traditional Danish half timbered building, decorated in an old fashioned style, much used by local country people. It would be cosy but smoky inside and would serve heavy traditional Danish fare. From these images and the brand identity profile it was clear that Danish kros had become a kind of museum-like repository of Danish values, which many would like to visit occasionally, but few espouse on a permanent basis. In addition, perception of kros as democratic institutions meant that customers did not expect to pay a premium for them. These findings are discussed and recommendations made for optimising the kro brand.
Detekcija složenih hidroloških odnosa u krškim sustavima može se preliminarno provesti putem analize vremenskih serija oborina i protoka s naglaskom na važnost i preporuku primjene parcijalne ...kros-korelacijske funkcije višeg reda. Parcijalna kros-korelacijska funkcija izdvaja kontrolne vremenske serije koje bitno utječu na korelaciju razmatranih ulaznoizlaznih vremenskih serija oborina i protoka. Doprinos rada prikazan je kroz primjenu korelacijske i parcijalne korelacijske analize višeg reda za karakterizaciju hidroloških odnosa dvaju susjednih krških izvora te za karakterizaciju odnosa oborine-otjecanje. Analiza je temeljena na raspoloživim satnim vrijednostima meteoroloških podataka (oborina, temperatura i relativne vlažnosti zraka) i hidroloških podataka (protoka), na postajama u slivu Jadra i Žrnovnice. Pokazano je da vremenske serije temperatura, relativnih vlažnosti i protoka bitno utječu na korelaciju oborina-protok tijekom sušnog i kišnog razdoblja. Demonstrirani pristup predstavlja poboljšanje u istraživanju složenih hidroloških odnosa susjednih krških izvora i primjenjiv je općenito.
The aim of this study was to evaluate the clinical outcomes of tricuspid valve repair using aortic cross-clamping versus using beating heart surgery.
A total of 208 patients (67 males, 141 females; ...mean age 61.5±9.2 years; range, 29 to 81 years) who underwent concomitant cardiac surgery and tricuspid valve repair between January 2007 and January 2016 at a single center were included. Two surgical strategies for tricuspid valve repair with aortic cross-clamping (n=102) or on beating heart (n=106) were compared. Primary endpoints were in-hospital mortality and the rate of permanent pacemaker placement after surgery. Secondary endpoints were cross-clamp and cardiopulmonary bypass times, postoperative inotropic support, temporary pacemaker requirement, and residual tricuspid regurgitation at discharge and at one year.
Overall hospital mortality was 7% (n=14) (cross-clamping 7% vs. beating heart 7%; p>0.05). The mean cross-clamp and cardiopulmonary bypass times were significantly longer in the aortic cross-clamping group (p=0.0001). Also, a higher number of patients in this group needed inotropic support (78/102) than the beating heart group (57/106) (p<0.05). The rate of postoperative left bundle branch block was higher in the cross-clamping group (14% vs. 5%, respectively; p<0.05). The rate of permanent pacemaker placement was also significantly higher in the cross-clamping group than the beating heart group (11.8% vs. 2.8%, respectively; p<0.05). At discharge, residual >2 tricuspid regurgitation was more commonly seen in the cross-clamping group (16% vs. 3%, respectively; p=0.0023). At one year of follow-up, residual >2 tricuspid regurgitation was present in 22 patients (23%) in the aortic crossclamping group and in eight patients (8%) in the beating heart group (p=0.0048).
Tricuspid valve repair on beating heart offers less inotropic support and a lower rate of postoperative permanent pacemaker placement requirement and residual tricuspid regurgitation, although both techniques yield similar postoperative clinical outcomes. These results support the use of tricuspid valve repair on a beating heart in concomitant left-sided valvular heart surgery.
Kombinacija različitih statističkih metoda i krivulja trajanja korištena je za ispitivanje hidrauličke veze potoka Plitvice i okolnih piezometra koji zahvaćaju podzemne vode varaždinskog aluvijalnog ...vodonosnika. Također, razmatrane su količine oborina sa šireg područja istraživanja kako bi se utvrdio utjecaj oborina na vodostaj Plitvice i razine podzemne vode. U radu su korištene sljedeće statističke metode: korelacija, auto-korelacija i kros-korelacija. Korelacijske analize pokazuju da generalno postoji značajna povezanost između vodostaja Plitvice i razina podzemnih voda, s pozitivnim smjerom korelacije. Analiza auto-korelograma za podzemne i površinske vode pokazuje da vrijednost koeficijenta korelacije pada ispod 0,2 nakon duljeg vremenskog razdoblja, što ukazuje na dugotrajnu memoriju sustava koja se može objasniti sporim tečenjem, odnosno sporim prijenosom tlaka. Kros-korelacijska analiza vremenskih nizova između vodostaja Plitvice i podzemnih voda pokazala je vremensko zaostajanje od 1–2 dana s prilično značajnim koeficijentom korelacije. Između oborina i podzemnih voda veza je mnogo slabija, s vremenskim zaostajanjem od 4–5 dana te slabim koeficijentom korelacije. Najmanje zaostajanje, unutar jednog dana, utvrđeno je između oborina i vodostaja Plitvice. Analizama krivulja trajanja utvrđeno je da Plitvica gotovo u potpunosti drenira podzemne vode, izuzev piezometra 2178 u blizini kojega oko četvrtinu vremena prihranjuje vodonosnik.
Etičke vrijednosti i pitanja moralnih načela u svim segmentima života potrošača privlače pažnju izazivajući često različite stavove u kupovnim odlukama. Razloge tome možemo tražiti u višeslojnosti ...ovog koncepta kao i u sociopolitičkim, kulturnim, demografskim čimbenicima. Identificiranje različitih etičkih vjerovanja na kros-kulturnoj razini omogućit će pretpostavljanje kupovnih ponašanja potrošača pojedine zemlje. Naime, potrošači uče iz vlastite kulture te različite kulturne vrijednosti uključuju različita etička vjerovanja koje mogu značajno utjecati na određivanje obrazaca kupovnih ponašanja potrošača. U ovom radu predstavljena je detaljna analiza istraživanja etičkih vjerovanja i stavova u kupovnim odlukama potrošača na kros-kulturnoj razini. Cilj rada je uputiti na važnost, prepoznavanje i identificiranje etičkih vjerovanja na kros-kulturnoj razini u svrhu identificiranja i određivanja kupovnih ponašanja potrošača određene zemlje.
Kros trčanje je disciplina trčanja srednjih i dugih pruga u prirodi, kroz šumu, polja ili pripremljenu stazu na ravnici i sl. U radu je dan pregled povijesnog razvoja kros trčanja, te su obrađene ...njegove karakteristike. Poseban naglasak stavljen je na oblike natjecanja ovakvog oblika trčanja. Prvo kros trčanje održano je u XIX. st. u Engleskoj; u početku se trčalo na znatno duže staze nego danas. Kros trčanje može biti masovnog, ekipnog i pojedinačnog karaktera. Za održavanje kros trčanja nije potrebna posebna infrastruktura; vrlo se lako organizira, što je jedan od razloga njegove popularnosti.
In this study, a new method is presented for the determination of the covered vertical discontinuous whose effects can not be observed in the Bouguer's gravity anomaly map of Istanbul-Silivri region. ...This method is based on the second vertical derivative values as well as cross-correlation between the second derivative values for a theoretical vertical discontinuous model. The maximum or minimum values of cross-correlation function takes place on the origin points of vertical discontinuity. The proposed method is applied to modelling of covered lineament structure of Silivri region after the method is tested for one and two dimensional theoretical models.
