Currently Indonesia has a drug emergency status. Drug users in Indonesia was recorded as many as 5.1 million people. Every year, about 15 thousand people die from drug use. To overcome all these ...circumstances the government through the Regulation of the Minister of Health, apply Methadone Maintenance Therapy program. Methadone is not a cure for opiate dependency: during methadone use, the user remains dependent on opiates physically. Participants of methadone maintenance therapy often feel themselves healthy enough to get out of the therapy program (drop out). This study aims to determine the number of dropout in the use of methadone maintenance therapy at Puskesmas Senen, Puskesmas Gambir and Puskesmas Kemayoran Central Jakarta from 2014 to 2016 and overview in Islamic views. Method: This research method used descriptive survey with retrospective data using secondary data in the form of data Drop Out on Methadone Usage at Puskesmas Senen, Puskesmas Gambir and Puskesmas Kemayoran Central Jakarta in 2014-2016. Result: The results of this study indicate the number of patients dropped out on methadone maintenance therapy at Puskesmas Senen, Puskesmas Gambir and Puskesmas Kemayoran in 3 years. At Puskesmas Senen, the highest drop out rate occurred in 2015 with 16 patients from 239 registered patients (6.7%). At Puskesmas Gambir, the highest drop out rate occurred in 2015 with 34 patients from 98 registered patients (34.7%). And at Puskesmas Kemayoran, the highest drop out rate occurred in 2015 with 11 patients from 55 patients who registered (20%). Patients dropping out on methadone maintenance therapy in both Puskesmas Senen and Kemayoran were mostly male and most dropped out at 25 to 49 years with 24 patients out of 25 drop out patients (96%). Conclusion: The highest drop out rate in all three puskesmas occurred in 2015. Patients drop out most of the male and most occur in the age group of 25-49 years. In the view of Islam drug abuse is illegal but if used for medical purposes and not excessive is allowed. This is a state of emergency and the circumstances are still allowed to remember the method often raised by scholars, "The state of emergency allows forbidden things". To reduce the rate of drop out and recurrence, the principle that must be applied of treatment for drug addicts patients are treated and repented, with integrated methods of medical therapy, psychological, social and religious.

Background:
WHO guidelines emphasise the need for descriptions of clinical practice and observational studies on risk and benefits of pharmacotherapies in pregnancy. The aims of the present study ...were to: (1) Describe opioid maintenance treatment (OMT) in the Scandinavian countries in general, and specifically for pregnant women, (2) Describe a project which utilises a new approach using registry-linkage data to examine associations between prenatal exposure to OMT and child outcomes: a Scandinavian cohort study of pregnant women in OMT during pregnancy (ScopeOMT).
Data:
Guidelines describing the treatment of persons with opioid use disorders in general, and specifically for pregnant women. Scandinavian registry-linkage data from ScopeOMT.
Results:
Registry data show that approximately 800 pregnant women received OMT during pregnancy in the period of the ScopeOMT study. Similarities across the Scandinavian countries include access to free healthcare and treatment; multidisciplinary teams trained to support pregnant women in OMT; buprenorphine as the recommended drug when initiating therapy; and a holistic focus on the patients’ lives. An important difference is that Norwegian women who use illegal substances that may harm the foetus may be admitted – voluntarily, or against their will – for parts of, or the remainder of the pregnancy to inpatient treatment at specialised clinics.
Conclusion:
Many similarities in the treatment provided to opioid-dependent persons in the Scandinavian countries place this area in an excellent position to combine the efforts and carry out observational studies concerning the safety of OMT during pregnancy.
Metadon persicus Gilasian & Reemer sp. nov. is described, based on a single female specimen from the Zagros mountains in Iran. Morphological variation among the members of the genus Metadon Reemer ...and their distribution in the world are discussed. Photographs of the new species are provided. The subfamily Microdontinae represents a new taxon for southwestern Asia and the genus Metadon is reported from the western Palaearctic region for the first time.
At present the most effective method of opioid addiction treatment is methadone substitution therapy. Its efficacy is dependent on patients’ satisfaction. The aim of this study was to explore the ...patients’ opinion of the effectiveness of methadone treatment. Respondents also evaluated the incidence of methadone side effects and their influence on daily life.
The survey was conducted at the Substitution Treatment Point at the Specialistic Psychiatric Healthcare Centre in Łódź on opioid-dependent patients enrolled to the methadone programme in March 2013. All patients were asked to fill in an anonymous questionnaire, containing three sections: demographic, drug dependence and therapy and side effects of methadone.
Sixty one out of 73 patients completed the questionnaire. Respondents appreciated the benefits of their participation in the methadone programme, however, as many as 54% relapsed during therapy. Ninety three percent felt reduced craving during the therapy. However, among the examined group, total abstinence from other psychoactive substances is a rarity. Patients experienced few methadone side effects which were not obstacles in their daily life. In patients’ opinion, participation in methadone programme helped them return to normal life, though it was often embarrassing.
Methadone therapy is an effective method of opioid dependence treatment, which helps maintain abstinence. In terms of side effects, it has proven to be inconsiderably burdensome.
Badanie przeprowadzono w marcu 2013 r. w Punkcie Leczenia Substytucyjnego w Specjalistycznym Psychiatrycznym Zespole Opieki Zdrowotnej w Łodzi.
Pomaga w utrzymaniu abstynencji. Metadon wykazuje niewiele działań niepożądanych o małej uciążliwości dla pacjentów.
