The following report presents some of the results of an investigation held in Uruguay aimed at providing knowledge about pedagogical practices and professional skills of teachers working in public ...primary schools located in high vulnerability social contexts. The universe of the study is composed by ten schools of Programa APRENDER. The consulted main actors are the early-career and expert teachers who develop their practice in these schools. From an approach that combined qualitative techniques, twenty-two in-depth interviews, field records and institutional documents are analyzed. The focus or research problem is to analyze and understand not only the significances given by early-career and expert teachers to professional skills but also other aspects associated with their representations about educational practices in socially inclusive schools. The document describes and categorizes these significances based on semantic relations and domain analysis. Due to the findings discussion, suggestions of some changes in educational policies are provided as well as recommendations for supervisors and managers of social inclusion programs.
Pedagogical knowledge, understood as a specific display of paradigmatic and ideological narratives and configurations about the character and sense of the educational action, is ultimately what each ...teacher defines as the learning environment. Therefore, its characterization and categorization become a central concept of scientific and pedagogical knowledge. The main objective of this article was to investigate, describe and interpret the relationship between the practice shown in the classroom and the pedagogical knowledge from the teacher-learner relationship in novice teachers graduated from the School of Education of Universidad Autónoma de Chile. A qualitative research approach was used, based on the epistemological perspective of an interpretative paradigm, utilizing the subjective comprehension of the process. Participants emphasized the importance of practical experience as fundamental in their teacher training. In addition, they see positively the emphasis given by Universidad Autónoma de Chile on forming reflective, critical and autonomous teachers through a teaching practice focused on the co-construction of knowledge.

Throughout the documents review, the body image was appeared as a key aspect of our research.
This text reviews the main goals and achievements from the management of Infancia y Aprendizaje (2012-17). We have promoted a dialogue between developmental psychology and educational psychology from ...a complex and situated approach. We have also created a section for highly regarded authors to chart prospective lines that could have an impact on areas for development within this field of knowledge. In addition, we brought back the debate between theoretical and methodological positions around a central article. Two different calls promoted the training of scientific writers and reviewers, with an analysis of the modifications introduced into the texts from their receipt up to their publication as well as the interactions among author, reviewers and editors. Other calls encouraged research on the training of university teachers, learning in environments favoured by technology, relationships between argumentation and education, and cognitive change as a dynamic process. At an operational level, we highlight the transition to Taylor & Francis, the configuration of a strictly bilingual journal and the thematic and cultural expansion and diversification of the editorial team at its different levels.
Akli Tadjer, the Franco-Algerian writer, whose pen seems to sway between the thumb and the index, escapes all classifications. His literary genius, which moves nimbly and elegantly from one novel to ...another, can only be perceived through the traces left by his soles of wind. In addition to his status as a novelist, Akli Tadjer is also, as evidenced by his various writings, a painter, filmmaker and choreographer. His pen employed, in La Reine du tango (2016), to describe precisely and carefully how Argentine tango is practiced, finally convinces us to give it the mark mentioned above. Defending this hypothesis is therefore what we wish to examine in this paper.

Made in Mauritius ...d'Amal Sewtohul).
Human-animal relations are often experienced viscerally. These corporeal, affective, sensual and emotional realities cannot easily be put into words and adequately expressed through linear and ...textual forms. For this reason, this paper investigates the potential of comics in more-than-human geographies. It identifies three different ways of how geographers approach this field of research and communication: (1) comic analysis, (2) comic semiotics and (3) comic practice. In their comic drawings geographers try to make specific viewpoints, moments, emotions and relations visible that have been underexposed either socio-politically or in terms of scientific practice. The article then discusses more-than-human qualities of comics, arguing that graphic narratives emerge as productive tools to reveal „the in_between“ of humans and nonhumans. It further describes an exemplary approach to a collaborative comic and how visceral or nonverbal aspects in human-animal relations can be expressed and experienced, using the empirical study of returning wolves to Switzerland.
The global circulation of comics, manga, and other such visual mediums between North America and Asia produces transnational meanings no longer rooted in a separation between “Asian” and “American.” ...Drawing New Color Lines explores the culture, production, and history of contemporary graphic narratives that depict Asian Americans and Asians. It examines how Japanese manga and Asian popular culture have influenced Asian American comics; how these comics and Asian American graphic narratives depict the “look” of race; and how these various representations are interpreted in nations not of their production. By focusing on what graphic narratives mean for audiences in North America and those in Asia, the collection discusses how Western theories about the ways in which graphic narratives might successfully overturn derogatory caricatures are themselves based on contested assumptions; and illustrates that the so-called odorless images featured in Japanese manga might nevertheless elicit interpretations about race in transnational contexts. With contributions from experts based in North America and Asia, Drawing New Color Lines will be of interest to scholars in a variety of disciplines, including Asian American studies, cultural and literary studies, comics and visual studies.
