This article refers to an investigation on the constitution of teachers’ identity during their pre-service education and their first years of work by looking for stories where the invisible emerges ...and adding an activist dimension to life histories in education. From this positionality, we attempt to account the complexity of novice teachers’ experiences by generating micro-stories that allow to write another history of contemporary education.
This paper addresses a fundamental issue in the studies carried out from a constructionist and narrative perspective: the relationship between researchers and researched. Our contribution is based on ...the development of nine microethnographies, in which the biographical dimension had a special consideration, with nine primary school teachers. This has allowed us to: a) highlight the importance of explaining the relationship between researchers and those participating in the research; b) examine the strengths and weaknesses of each relationship type and mode; c) point to the complexity and dynamism of the elements underlying relationships; d) open way of inquiry that can help deepen our understanding about the relational aspects involved in the social construction of knowledge.
This article establishes a debate with Roberto Schwarz's concept of "misplaced ideas", stemming from the analysis of the novel Senhora, by José de Alencar. Some implications and theoretical-critical consequences of the dialectical method applied to the analysis of literature are discussed, in order to clarify the reading that José de Alencar's novel would not have been able to explore, in a formal context, the structuring potentialities of the represented social content. Through a dialogue with the rigidity of the macrosociological approach, and choosing the same comparative method with the solutions found by Machado de Assis in Helena (1876), Memórias Póstumas de Brás Cubas (1881) and Dom Casmurro (1899), this article proposes that, in Senhora, the ideas are not "misplaced," but occupying their place in a socioeconomic structure in transition. Keywords: José de Alencar, Senhora, Machado de Assis, miplaced ideas, another place for ideas.
We analysed the editorial process of the four articles authored by junior researchers published in the special issue The peer review process as an opportunity for learning. Our aims were to study the ...unfolding of the main critiques and suggestions made by reviewers in the different review rounds, as well as to explore how both authors and reviewers experienced and valued the review process. Data sources include all review reports and letters where the authors explained the changes made, and questionnaires completed by all the authors and some reviewers. The most commonly identified critiques in the reports were related to content selection and elaboration (coherence and relevance), the own author's voice (critical positioning and caution) and attention to the reader (precision and consistency in terms and concepts, methodological clarity, writing style, legibility and formal adequacy). All four authors stated that being part of this process was rewarding and educational, highlighting the development of academic writing skills. Some reviewers emphasized the importance of reading other reviewers' reports. We conclude by emphasizing the importance of providing junior researchers with resources that support them in communicating their research to the academic community.
The experience of submitting research manuscripts for review in scientific journals commonly brings about excellent learning opportunities for authors, especially when they are at the beginning of ...their research careers. Infancia y Aprendizaje invited junior researchers to submit empirical studies for the publication of a special issue titled The peer review process as an opportunity for learning. The present article introduces the special issue. After reviewing several prior works in the field, we present the aims of the call for papers and describe its most relevant guidelines, as well as the criteria used in the preliminary screening of the 31 manuscripts received. We then present the papers that constitute the dossier: an article of the Prospectivas series; the four studies accepted for publication in this call; and finally, an editorial article in which we analyse how these four studies shifted during the peer review process and present some reflections from both authors and reviewers. We are confident that this special issue, along with the materials produced during the peer-review process (visit:

), will promote the learning of those who participate in the production, dissemination and use of knowledge in social sciences, whether in the capacity of readers, authors, reviewers and/or editors.
Based on Aristotle's theoretical views about tragedy, the concept of tragic is discussed in this study, also taking into consideration Peter Szondi's theoretical contributions. This author ...understands the tragic under the philosophical approach that it is manifested in consonance with a given culture and a given time. In the light of this theoretical assumption and based on other scholars' considerations about this theme, it is investigated how the language, having as structuring elements the antithesis and the oxymoron, shapes a tragic worldview in the protagonist's speech of the baltazar serapiao's remorse by Valter Hugo Mae, what effects of meaning these rhetoric resources produce in this configuration and which views about himself and the world the character shows at this novel.
