This article focuses on the analysis and interpretation of 15 testimonies collected immediately after the war by David Boder and by the Polish Historical Institute in Sweden with women deported to ...Auschwitz, evacuated to Ravensbrück in its last two phases and then to Malchow. The study of their statements can provide both a historical overview of Ravensbrück and its sub camps in 1944 and 1945, and help identify the effects of the camp, an overthrown social context, on individuals, women in this case, and groups. The comparative exam of the interviews allows to identify the crucial events and experiences which constitute the core of the interviewees’narration and representation of the events. The situations and episodes they chose to recall may explain their perception of the events and reveals a gendered perspective which affected their memories in terms of the selection of the events and their focus on specific issues. The memories were recalled in relation to social frames, which were different from those the survivors were previously used to and pertained to the context of the camp. These coordinates constitute a net which can provide an insight into the mechanism of memory construction and early representation of the Holocaust.
Los testimonios orales en general, y los de los antiguos alumnos en particular, han sido usados en estudios histórico-educativos recientes, evidenciando su potencial como fuentes para historiar la ...cultura y las prácticas escolares. Pero más allá de sus valiosas prestaciones en la investigación histórica, creemos que estos testimonios deben reivindicarse también como patrimonio inmaterial de la escuela, con amplias posibilidades tanto para la didáctica como para la historia pública. En este artículo presentamos un estudio de casoenmarcado en una tesis doctoral, la cual se usará como ejemplo para evidenciar las prestaciones patrimoniales vinculadas al testimonio de los antiguos alumnos.
El artículo da cuenta del proyecto de innovacióndocente llevado a cabo durante el curso 2020-2021 en los estudios de Grado en Educación Infantil y Primaria de la Universidad de las Islas Baleares, ...concretamente en las asignaturas de Pensamiento y contextos educativos contemporáneos y Fundamentos de la Educación Musical. El objetivo fundamental era aproximar al alumnado a nuestro pasado educativo más reciente, desde una perspectiva experiencial y vivencial próxima, a través de testimonios orales, trabajando la evolución de la escuela y la innovación pedagógica en la educación infantil y primaria desde la perspectiva de sus protagonistas (alumnado y profesorado).
This article investigates the Ottoman Greek Orthodox internal exiles, focusing on the deportees’ experiences and the intricacies of their agency during the Great War (1914–18). It does so by ...examining deportees’ understudied ego-documents, taken either from the collections of the Centre for Asia Minor Studies in Athens or from family archives. Organized into labor-battalions or housed in open internment camps in town quarters, the inland exiles were deported to secure the rear front and homogenize the country, but their deportation was characterized by local influences and inconsistencies. Several of the Greek Orthodox exiles managed to survive and maintain their cultural ties by exploiting such inconsistencies, either by selling their skills or by resisting exile through solidarity, desertion, and resistance.
On the occasion of the collection and first inventory of the archives of the “Cour Napoléon” excavations, it seemed essential to us to meet the actors of this unprecedented archaeological operation, ...in order to collect their memories and thus complete the “paper” documentation. After about fifteen interviews, we wanted to share four examples, showing how a profound human and social dimension emerged during these so well-known excavations.
The teaching experience that is reviewed is based on the investigations "Incidence in the
INRA magazine of communication mediators and the sociopolitical-media environment of the
years 1960-1962" and ..."Cuba magazine: its distinctive features and communication mediators
in the historical context of the period 1962-1969”. Simultaneous methodological triangulation
was applied in these studies, combining various quantitative and qualitative methods. In
particular, through semi-structured interviews, valuable testimonies were obtained from nine
intellectuals who collaborated on these publications during the 1960s. Fragments of his
interventions were included in the course "The collections of Cuban magazines of the sixties
as bibliographic sources for the study of the country's history." Its first edition was aimed at
school librarians in the Plaza de la Revolución municipality. The article lists some of the
contributions of the oral testimonies of the interviewees, both to research and to the
enrichment of the knowledge of the students on facts, personalities and Cuban magazines of
that important period of the history of the nation. The videos, combined with other
educational materials that were delivered to the librarians, will favor the organization of their
teaching activities dedicated to preserving the historical memory of the nation in the younger
generation.
La experiencia docente que se reseña tiene como fundamentos las investigaciones “Incidencia en la revista INRA de los mediadores comunicacionales y del entorno sociopolítico-mediático de los años 1960-1962” y “La revista Cuba: sus rasgos distintivos y mediadores comunicacionales en el contexto histórico del periodo de 1962-1969”. En estos estudios se aplicó la triangulación metodológica simultánea, al combinar diversos métodos cuantitativos y cualitativos. En particular, mediante las entrevistas semi estructuradas se obtuvieron valiosos testimonios de nueve intelectuales que colaboraron en esas publicaciones durante la década del sesenta. Fragmentos de sus intervenciones se incluyeron en el curso “Las colecciones de revistas cubanas de los años sesenta como fuentes bibliográficas para el estudio de la historia patria”. Su primera edición estuvo dirigida a los bibliotecarios escolares del municipio Plaza de La Revolución. En el artículo se relacionan algunas de las contribuciones de los testimonios orales de los entrevistados, tanto a las investigaciones, como al enriquecimiento de los conocimientos de los alumnos sobre hechos, personalidades y revistas cubanas de ese importante período de la historia de la nación. Los videos, combinados con otros materiales didácticos que fueron entregados a los bibliotecarios, favorecerán la organización de sus actividades docentes dedicadas a preservar la memoria histórica de la nación en la más joven generación.

However, there are few jobs given to a ...special group, leaders, that have used their own voices. The primary purpose of this article is to present some of these forms of adaptation. The methodology was based on the application of two instruments, semi-structured interviews and direct observation of 12 leaders. The results reveal a generational change that is brewing. The young leaders -all male- are playing a central role.

La responsabilidad social es un reto que todas las empresas tienen que enfrentar para permanecer de acuerdo a las nuevas exigencias del mercado. En Sonora, la uva de mesa ha sido un tema estudiado. Sin embargo, son escasos los trabajos que se han dedicado a conocer a un grupo nodal, los líderes, utilizando sus propias voces. El propósito fundamental de este artículo es dar a conocer cuáles son algunas de estas formas de adaptación. El procedimiento metodológico se sustentó en la aplicación de dos instrumentos: entrevistas semiestructuradas y observación directa a 12 líderes. Los resultados revelan un cambio generacional que recién se está gestando. Los líderes jóvenes –todos hombres- están jugando un rol central.
Although concentration camps constituted a densely populated social world, historians still largely approach them as being composed of isolated individuals. This interpretative premise is sustained ...by the inherent linear organization of most audiovisual archives and the prominence of the individual survivor testimony as their organizing unit. However, taking the social relation rather than the individual and his/her testimony as the organizing principle of a rethought digital Holocaust archive leads to a more historically faithful understanding of the Holocaust survivor as a networked self. A pilot digital reconstruction of social networks of Jewish Holocaust survivors from the Greek city of Salonica/Thessaloniki demonstrates how the linear digital audiovisual archive can support the digital documentation of the multiple forms and structures of relatedness, thus helping historians better understand how Holocaust survivors managed to reconstruct a social universe in the camps and navigate within it under extremely adverse circumstances.
