The effect of the benzotriazole type UV-absorbers Tinuvin P and Tinuvin 327 and 2.4-dihydroxy benzophenone in the dyeing of polyester fibres with Viosperse Blue RFS, an azodye of low light fastness ...at various depths of dyeing and UV-absorber amounts was studied using different application procedures. The dye and UV-absorber uptake and the light and sublimation fastness of the dyed samples were determined and compared to those obtained for the corresponding samples dyed in absence of a UV-absorber. The effectiveness of 2-(2-hydroxy-5-carboxy-phenyl)-2
H-benzotriazole in improving the light fastness of polyester fibres dyed with C.I. Disperse Blue 77, Red 86, Yellow 42 and Viosperse Red BS was also studied and compared to that of the above commercial benzotriazole type UV-absorbers. The latter was applied to the fibre in various molar ratios to the dye using two different application procedures: directly in the dyebath and by aftertreatment of the dyed fabrics.
In this article, the draw ratio of elastic core yarn (Spandex filament 44 dtex/f4) was regulated from 2.7 to 4.41 (i.e., 2.7, 3.22, 3.49, and 4.41) by using a developed positive feed drive and a ...microcontroller system. The elastic core positioning (left, center, and right) in front roller nip of ring frame was also changed using a standard V-groove guide roller. The physical properties of produced yarns including tensile properties, hairiness, irregularity, and fibre covering were investigated and compared. The results revealed that at 3.49 draw ratio, themaximum elastic core-spun yarn tenacity and elongation and minimum S3 hairiness values were obtained compared with 2.7 and 4.41 draw ratios. The results indicated that increasing the elastic yarn draw ratio increased the elastic core-spun yarn irregularity and fibre-covering factor by which the highest values were obtained at 4.41 elastic yarn draw ratio. It was also found that elastic yarn positioning at the left edge of roving ribbon deteriorated core-spun yarn evenness while elastic yarn positioning at the center of the roving ribbon improved the core-spun yarn hairiness. However, elastic yarn positioning has no significant effect on elastic core-spun yarn tensile and fibre-covering properties.
A series of new heterocyclic monoazo disperse dyes have been prepared by coupling 11-amino-13H-acenaphtho1,2-epyridazino3,2-bquinazoline-13-one with various mono and di-N substituted derivatives of ...aniline. All the disperse dyes were characterized by their percentage yield, melting point, UV–visible spectroscopy, elemental analysis, infrared spectroscopy and dyeing performance on Nylon 66 and polyester fibres. The percentage dye bath exhaustion on different fibres have been found to be reasonably good and acceptable. The dyed fibres show fairly good to good fastness to light and very good to excellent fastness to washing, rubbing, perspiration and sublimation.

A series of new heterocyclic disperse dyes were prepared by diazotising 11H-7-amino-2-chloro-isoindolo2,1-abenzimidazole-11-one and coupling with various mono- and di-N-substituted aniline ...derivatives. The resultant dyes were characterised using standard spectroscopic methods and their dyeing performance on nylon 66 and polyester fabrics was assessed. Results of the latter studies indicated that dye bath exhaustion was moderate to good and the dyed fabrics had good to very good fastness properties.
Pre-treatment of poly (ethylene terephthalate) (PET) fibres with a strongly interacting solvent (dimethylformamide (DMF)) induces variation in the fibre structure and improves its optical anisotropy. ...As a result, variations in the optical properties have been demonstrated. The values for refractive indices in the two principal vibration directions, along and across the fibre axis, and birefringence values are obtained using the two-beam interference Pluta microscope. They increase with increase in time of both solvent and thermal treatments. Increases in the crystallinity values with the time of thermal treatment have been reported. Optical and structural parameters such as mean polarizability per unit volume, molar refractivity and surface reflectivity have been also calculated. The resultant parameters reflect good effect of the solvent and thermal treatments on the molecular orientation in PET fibres. Illustration can been given by graphs and microinterferograms.

Sintetizovane su nove heterociklicne disperzne boje sukcesivnim diazotovanjem 2-metil-3-3?-aminoftalimido-4(3H)-hinazolinona i kuplovanjem sa razlicitim mono- i di-N-supstituisanim derivatima anilina. Sve disperzne boje okarakterisane su svojim procentnim prinosom, tackom topljenja, UV-Vis spektrom, elementarnom analizom i IR spektrom, kao i sposobnoscu bojenja vlakana od najlona 66 i poliestara. Procentno iscrpljivanje kupatila za bojenje razlicitih vlakana pokazalo se relativno dobro i prihvatljivo. Obojena vlakna pokazala su dobru do vrlo dobru otpornost na svetlost, kao i vrlo dobru do odlicnu otpornost na pranje, trljanje, znoj i sublimaciju.

Sintetizovano je novo heterociklicno jedinjenje 11-amino-13H-acenafto1,2-e-piridazino3,2-bhinazolin-13-on, koji je upotrebljen za dobijanje nove serije heterociklicnih monoazo boja kuplovanjem sa razlicitim naftolima. Sve monoazo boje karakterisane su tackama topljenja elementarnom analizom, UV-Vis spektrima, IR spektrima, kao i sposobnostima za bojenje najlonskog i polietilenskog vlakna. Procentno iscrpljivanje kupatila za bojenje za razlicita vlakna pokazalo se dovoljno dobro i prihvatljivo. Obojena vlakna imala su prihvatljivu do dobru otpornost na svetlost, i vrlo dobru do odlicnu otpornost na pranje, trljanje, znoj i sublimaciju.
