This paper describes the purpose, new points, practical significance, quality improvement methods, fabrication results and practical testing of Digital magnetic compass systems (DMCS). Many studies ...on the digital magnetic compasses (DMC) design were carried out recently. In this paper, the authors present the results of manufacturing complete DMCS, in which DMC is designed using two magnetic and positioning sensors. The research and test results show that DMCS is designed and manufactured to a standard and it is possible to install for small vessels or ships operating inland maritime routes of Vietnam. The research results contribute to the problem of equipping compass systems for ships which are either small or unable to equip the modern and expensive Gyrocompass of the world manufacturers.
This paper proposes a multi-load wireless power transfer (WPT) system using repeater coils. The repeater unit that contains two repeater units is designed. The series-parallel-series (SPS) ...compensation method is used for each repeater unit. The constant load current for all the loads can be obtained with suitable resonant condition when neglecting the coils' parasitic resistances. A feasible coil structure is designed where the two repeater coils in the same repeater unit are both bipolar that are placed perpendicularly so that the coupling between them can be neglected. A ferrite plate is inserted between the two bipolar coils in each repeater unit to enhance the magnetic coupling between adjacent units. Moreover, the proposed system has been optimized so that the system efficiency can be improved. The simulation results are given to validate the effectiveness of the proposed WPT system.
Quantum state is transmitted via noisy channel, the errors introduced by noise will limit the practicality of quantum communication. In this paper, we present a scheme which can overcome this ...limitation. The central idea is that a quantum bit is paired by another quantum bit to stand for a quantum bit information. This quantum bit pair interacts with the same environment and decoheres collectively. If the range of transmission is not very large, the decoherence of the quantum bit pair can be prevented. If only amplitude damping is considered, our pairing coding can overcome both collective and independent amplitude damping with high probability. Quantum repeater is used to transmit a quantum bit over arbitrarily long distance.
Compact physical models are presented for on-chip double-sided shielded transmission lines, which are mainly used for long global interconnects where inductance effects should not be ignored. The ...models are then used to optimize the width and spacing of long global interconnects with repeater insertion. The impacts of increasing line width and spacing on various performance parameters such as delay, data-flux density, power dissipation and total repeater area are analysed. The product of data-flux density and reciprocal delay per unit length are defined as a figure of merit (FOM). By maximizing the FOM, the optimal width and spacing of shielded RLC global interconnects are obtained for various international technology roadmap for semiconductors (ITRS) technology nodes.
As a means of transportation, electric vehicles (EVs) are gradually replacing oil-fueled vehicles and widely seen in the field of vision. To facilitate the charging of electric vehicles, static ...charging stations and highway dynamic wireless power transfer (WPT) systems are being popularized and promoted in many countries. Aiming at the problem of multiple inverters and high costs in the dynamic WPT systems for EVs, this paper proposes a scheme of alternately arranging the active coils and the repeater coils at the transmitter sides, which has the advantage of lower economic costs and reduces the number of the power converters by half. Dynamic quasi-constant power wireless EV charging can be achieved by adjusting the input voltage of the active coil. A mathematical model including three different operating modes during the dynamic process is developed to analyze the output power and system efficiency, and design the system parameters. The simulation results of the 1 kW system verify the validity of the proposed wireless EV charging scheme.
There are many modules used in wireless passthrough technology and it has its own communication mechanism. A universal wireless transmission mechanism, a packet encapsulation method and a control and ...verification method are implemented on each module. The encapsulation method of packet includes packet format definition and verification method between master control equipment and repeater; packet format definition and verification method between repeater and repeater; packet format definition and verification method between repeater and terminal. To resolve that sending data packets through the master control device, accessing through one or one more repeaters until the target terminal is found. The target terminal checks the data packets and replies as required. The reply packets are relayed to the master control equipment. The data packets are processed by checking, splicing, encapsulating and transferring. Finally, the data transmission in wireless channel is completed. This technical proposal can improve the safety and reliability of packet transmission in wireless communication channel.
With the development of Integrated Circuit (IC) process, the power of a chip increases dramatically. To improve the power and temperature characteristics of a chip, the method that reduces power by ...increasing delay is presented in the paper based on the electro-thermal coupling among power, temperature and delay by taking repeater heat transfer effect into consideration. Optimized interconnect length and repeater size are obtained in 45nm process technology by using MATLAB. The simulation results show that the length of optimized interconnect, considering repeaters heat transferred, can be longer by two percent while temperature is lower than no considering. Besides, when the inserted repeater numbers increase on the base of optimization, the temperature of interconnect can be reduced while the chip temperature increase little when the length of interconnect is shorter than 15mm. Low temperature of interconnect can contribute to keeping signal integrity.
