In the current global crisis, the problem of social policy is not only for children but also for all other categories of the population, especially over time. In Ukraine identifying these problems ...acts as a barometer of the maturity of the welfare state and of building a civil society. Particular attention is drawn to the analysis and evaluation of status indicators, the factors of formation and welfare of our citizens, taking into account their age qualification. It is the basis for creating the conditions for the proper development of the younger generation and for ensuring positive change. Without the formation of effective mechanisms for the implementation of social policy, it is unthinkable to argue for the effectiveness of socio-economic reforms and the implementation of a course of gradual entry into the international economic space. In this regard, the idea of presenting a model of children’s welfare formation in the form of an integral index, the arguments and mechanisms of implementation of which are outlined in this scientific work, deserves attention.
The article analyzes the socio-economic situation of supporters of change and adherents of stability in the statics (according to 2019) and dynamics (during 1997–2019). The analysis confirms the ...concept that the importance of the absolute socio-economic situation (level of income) has no significant connection with the presence/absence of protest requests. The study of subjective satisfaction with the socio-economic situation was found to be more productive. At the same time, the point of view that the main supporters of change in post-Soviet Russia are Russians who feel they are poorer should be strongly rejected. The analysis showed that supporters of change in Russia are, as a rule, people with average financial status. At the same time, compared to previous years, by the end of the 2010s actors for change are gaining new features: being more satisfied with their backround, they demonstrate dissatisfaction with the aspects of their lives that determine their future (material situation, access to quality medical care and, especially, the ability to express their political views). Social and political factors, in contrast to the first post-Soviet decade, come to the fore. In general, the main social and economic differences in recent years between supporters of change and supporters of stability can be described as follows: those who want to change are more acutely affected by the problems of financial standing and maintaining health, but even more acutely by the decline in political opportunities in society.
Background:
The study examined the nexus between Social Economic Situation (SES) and Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and the influence the two exerted on willingness to comply with Health Safety and ...Environment (HSE) guiding the conveyance of petroleum products among truckers in Ibadan metropolis, Nigeria.
Methods:
Multistage and simple random sampling techniques were utilized to obtain the 265 respondents who are professional haulers and necessary information on the study objectives were obtained through self-reporting designed questionnaire. Bivariate statistical analysis and Logistic Regression Model were also used in ascertaining the existence of relationships among the dependent and independent variables.
Results:

0.36.Furthermore, a Logistic Regression Model (LRM) examined the relationship between dichotomous dependent variable (compliance or non-compliance to HSE stipulations guiding the conveyance of petroleum products) and the different independent explanatory variables (Age, Marital Status, Educational Status and SUD). The Wald criterion demonstrated that marital status (p=.000), educational status (p=.000) and attitude to SUD (p=.000) all made significant contributions to the prediction (compliance) while age (p=.861) was not a significant predictor.
Conclusion:
The study recommends the importance of non-economic factors (like literacy and marital status) in the achievement of sustainable HSE stipulations guiding the conveyance of petroleum products.
Russia is currently at a fork in its economic trajectory. In this regard, issues of territorial development are particularly relevant in the country’s transition to investment-type economic growth. ...The investment process is the main subject of technical analysis, quality control and regulation at the state and regional levels of management. The purpose of the article is to identify the relationship between such regional characteristics as the state of the investment climate, investment attractiveness, socio-economic situation, index of physical volume of investment in fixed assets based on the analysis of state policy in the field of territorial development. The research used methods of comparative, statistical and system analysis, deduction and induction, generalization, and theoretical modeling. As a result of the study, it was revealed that the state actively supports regions – growth points where special economic zones and territories of advanced development are created, but at the same time, there is an active state support for regions with a low level of socio-economic development. A study of the basic characteristics of the investment development of the Russian regions showed that those regions in which there is a favorable investment climate tend to have high investment attractiveness. However, there is no direct correlation between the level of socio-economic development of the region and the state of its investment climate. Therefore, in order to increase the investment attractiveness of Russian regions, it is necessary to create such macroeconomic goals for Sevastopol that will help to intensify the results of investment processes, remove various bureaucratic barriers for investors in the region, develop tools for the coordinated use of territories, and actively develop interregional cooperation.
This study analyzed the widespread distance teaching/learning impact in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and assessed distance teaching/learning’s effects on students’ intelligence. The distance ...teaching/learning impact results were evaluated based on the extensive sample tests conducted by applying the Wechsler Abbreviated Scale of Intelligence (WASI) methodology. The tests conducted in January–September 2022 were compared with those conducted in the same age groups in 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2021. The research data were processed in the following three stages: Stage I. Overview of the general situation of the research data concerning the variables. The descriptive statistics method was applied when calculating the percentages representing the students’ verbal, non-verbal, and general IQ. Stage II. Estimation of the statistically significant differences between the independent variables. Stage III. Review of the research data. The descriptive statistics method was applied, and the WASI methodology was used to assess the effects of distance teaching/learning on the IQ of 1–12-grade students in the 2017–2019 and 2021–2022 periods. The test sample size was over 2000 respondents who engaged in the study questionnaires and surveys. The effects of distance teaching/learning were assessed in many relevant aspects to identify which factors considerably impacted students’ intelligence during distance teaching/learning. Also, a more extensive analysis of these factors was performed to reveal which of them, during the period of distance teaching/learning, (1) greatly influenced students’ verbal IQ, (2) significantly impacted students’ non-verbal IQ, and (3) had a substantial impact on students’ general IQ. The results of the 2021 tests, conducted after the announcement of the official end of distance teaching/learning due to the pandemic, showed that distance teaching/learning affected students’ IQ positively. Such results can be associated with an increased number of self-study independent tasks, which in turn influenced the growth of creativity. The IQ tests of students born in 2009 revealed that the total IQ of test participants gradually decreased in 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2022 respectively. These results might have been influenced by the then-prevalent education system, favoring educational programs that do not promote IQ development. It is believed that the parents of children born in Lithuania in 2009 were provided more favorable conditions for raising children than the EU standards. Notably, the IQ of students of aged 6–15 tended to grow from 2017 to 2021, but in 2022, a dramatic drop was observed. The restricted socialization and deficiency of live communication could pose one of the primary reasons for the drop in their IQ. The analysis also showed that distance teaching/learning negatively affected all student groups by age. Age groups differed to a positive and negative extent; e.g., during the research, the most considerable negative effect in the student group aged 6–10 years and the uniqueness of students born in 2009, i.e., the overall highest average IQ of students born that year (134 in 2018), were noticed. However, during the five years afterward, students’ IQs decreased (119 in 2022). The analysis of the socio-economic environment allowed for determining a positive trend that could have been influenced by the most favorable program for families established by the government at that time. Furthermore, the study concluded that distance learning had an apparent adverse effect on the IQ of individuals in the 6–19 age group.

In the conditions of socio-economic development of the country the issue of analysis of the subjects of the Russian Federation is especially acute. This analysis covers the widest range of social and ...economic indicators of the country’s regions, which allows identifying the most lagging social or economic blocks in order to build a further development plan for the region. The integral indicator of the social and economic situation of the subjects of the Russian Federation is proposed as the main characteristic. To build a generalized indicator, the data of the Federal State Statistics Service were used. Ranking of regions by federal districts, as well as clustering of the country’s subjects according to the selected indicators, allows more accurately determining developing and lagging regions.
To know whether place attachment influences pro-environmental behaviors and people’s socio-economic situations affect place attachment, relations pro-environmental behaviors and place attachment were ...explored using 47 prefectures data, collected by the government, and private sectors and researchers. Seven latent factors were identified as consciousness to place and community, and their influences on pro-environmental behaviors were examined by multiple regression analysis. The collected pro-environmental behaviors were statisitically classified and nine representative activities were selected as a representative and grouped to three different behavioral tendencies. One classification of the behaviors was considered to be related not just to the aim on pro-environmental effects, but to some other sense of value in the people's daily life, and found to be eminently related to two place and community consciousness indices. They were found to be related to the awareness of “nature” and “local history” of their living place. Further, these awarenesses were found to decrease with the increase of residential mobility and superior academic background.
This study analyzes the effects that action 112 of the Rural Development Policy had on the socioeconomic status of Slovenian dairy farms. The data used in this paper were collected from Farm ...Accountancy Data Network (FADN), a database for applicants in action 112 (young farms transferees), from whose applications for participation in this action the data were obtained. Twenty-eight different econometric models were developed during the first stage of the research. The evaluation of the models was subsequently performed by applying valid statistical and econometric criteria. The results reveal the main positive effects that action 112 had on socioeconomic indicators of the dairy farms: number of full-time labor power, number of head of large livestock, total revenue (in euros) and net value added. Statistically significant differences in benefits from action 112 among dairy farms were determined by using two sets of dummy variables: region and level of education. The research in the field of the effect of the rural development policy action support of young farmers on socioeconomics performance of milk farms can make a significant contribution to developing the researchers’ work and policy makers’ decisions. Furthermore, this research is important from the agronomic point of view, since its results support two of the basic goals of Common agricultural policy after 2020: environmental care and conservation of landscape and biodiversity.
