The development of network retail creates new business opportunities through the introduction of modern information systems, digitalization of production processes and business, the creation of ...e-shops and interactive showcases. The aim of the article is to substantiate the priority areas of analysis and audit of the network retailer’s activities, to develop proposals for a balanced system of indicators of analysis of the network retailer’s activities. The information basis of the present study is the normative legal acts of Ukraine on the implementation of economic activities of enterprises, scientific publications of leading scholars. The study uses general scientific and special research methods: induction, deduction, analysis, synthesis, dialectical method – when identifying the essence of the category of «retail»; horizontal analysis, comparison – when assessing the market of network retailer in Ukraine; abstraction, generalization, systemic, functional – in the development of a balanced scorecard for analyzing the activities of network retail. According to the results of the study, the views of scientists on the concept of «network retail» are considered; the features and differences of interpretations of the categories of «retail» and «retail trade» are indicated; the main indicators of diagnostics of the network retailer’s activities have been determined, and a balanced system of indicators for analyzing the activities of the network retail has been proposed. The activities of the network retail require some quality and comprehensive analysis and audit in order to strengthen its position in the market, its stable situation in a dynamic and powerful competitive environment. Therefore, business owners, executives, senior managers, potential investors and business partners should pay considerable attention to this in order to manage business and finance and further increase profitability.
The article considers foreign experience of implementation of compliance programs for maritime transport enterprises. The important role of analysis is explained by the ability to evaluate the ...results and develop a strategy and tactics for the development of the enterprise, anticipate risks and prevent eventual bankruptcy. Strategy is a complex and powerful weapon with which a modern firm can withstand the conditions of a changing environment; this is a tool that can provide a serious help to an enterprise caught in conditions of instability. Therefore, strategy deserves the most serious attention as a management tool. Compliance control ensures the protection of the economic interests of the enterprise from potential risks in the early stages, which simplifies the neutralization of such risks. The compliance program of a stevedoring company includes a code of conduct, anti-corruption policies, as well as other documents and procedures necessary for the company to achieve its compliance goal (compliance documents). The company’s compliance program (Compliance System) is a universal recognized international system of threats counteraction and risk management, which ensures compliance of the company’s activities with the requirements of the State bodies, self-regulatory public and other organizations, compliance with the rules, recommendations and standards governing the company’s activities. The compliance program includes many compliance measures to ensure the achievement of the goals of the compliance program. Compliance measures represent a management and control system in an organization related to ensuring that the organization’s activities and personnel comply with the requirements of legislation, normative regulations, rules and standards of supervisory authorities, industry associations and self-regulatory organizations (codes of conduct, etc.). Work on creating a compliance program for maritime transport enterprises must necessarily lead to an understanding of the company’s own development strategy and to success, as it forces to answer strategically important questions, such as: identification of external and internal factors affecting risks; legal restrictions and regulations; court decisions; voluntary verification of compliance with relevant industry standards. The main requirements of compliance – business transparency, adherence to the legal and ethical norms and regulations – must be implemented by a management system (compliance program) that can be built and implemented in practice.
The article presents approaches to monitoring and assessing social aspects of regional systems with identification of elements of the health system and demographic components that potentially affect ...the economic efficiency of functioning of territories. The relevance of the article is determined by objective features of the development of mesoterritories. The analysis of spatial features of the systems’ functioning was conducted on the materials of the Central Federal District. The purpose of the study is to assess the features of the regional genesis using regression analysis and the resulting indicator – gross regional product (hereinafter referred to as GRP), which allows us to give a more reliable characterisation of the mesoterritorial transformation. The subjects were grouped according to the quality of medical and demographic characteristics on the basis of the cluster analysis with further allocation of flagship, catching-up and lagging regions. To substantiate the reliability of the territories’ affiliation to a specific cluster group, a statistical analysis was performed on average values with consideration to identification of the level of medical and demographic development. The conclusion is made about the influence of some factor criteria on the regional space with the construction of a scatter plot. It displays the affiliation to the selected confidence interval and distribution of the elements of the set in the plane between the resulting and factor values, describing the dependence of the GRP on the medical and demographic indicator. These econometric and analytical models can be used by regional governments in the process of strategic planning.
To ensure effective management, tourism governments need tools that can measure tourism activities' impacts on sustainable development. Systems of indicators are thus widely used in tourism ...sustainability management and need to find a balance between academic and professional perspectives. This research is a case study focused on a tool for monitoring regional government policies: the Andalusia System of Sustainable Tourism Development Indicators (SISTA). The system was developed by an interdisciplinary group of 15 experts from within the regional government and academia. We apply the institutional theory in the tourism public sector to study a process of deinstitutionalization to get insights on how actors within tourism management organizations can shape institutions. Our results demonstrate that policy actors' participation enhances these systems' usefulness, introducing the sustainability policy paradigm and raising awareness of the strategic uses of data to support policy decisions. On the other hand, challenges of policy actors' participation are related to the mismatch between sustainability evolution and policy cycles, and from the difficulty of judging policy measures' efficiency. This research will serve as a reference for other tourism destinations working on measuring system development with practical applications as well as for academia to integrate policy actors' needs into theoretical approaches.
Further positive social and economic development (SED) requires modelling and analysis for evaluating its results to ground directions for future development. The purpose of the paper is to study the ...problem of estimating of SED, to form the methodology for modelling its results and to create an aggregated econometric indicator within the framework of unified conceptual approach for the European Union (EU) countries. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to solve the following objectives: to determine the essence of the concept of SED, to study traditional approaches to measure SED, to give an overview of the DP2 modelling method, to discover and structure the elements of SED in the EU countries and to argue a conceptual approach to modelling its outcomes. The study is based on the method of mathematical modelling in economics based on Distance P2 method. Econometric modelling, as well as regression analyze, was used to develop a synthetic indicator DP2 for evaluating SED of the EU countries. Also, the research process was based on analysis, synthesis and the system approach for information processing, as well as on the method of comparative and statistical analysis, quality and quantity analysis. The results of the deep research showed that there is no unified approach to modelling SED. The Distance P2 method was first proposed to measure SED at the national level exactly for the EU. The methodology for measuring SED specifically for the EU countries based on the conceptual approach was developed and substantiated. Based on the proposed methodology and taking into account the special characteristics of the region studied - the social and economic DP2 indicator for the EU countries was created. This study proposes to build a synthetic indicator DP2 to model results of progress in SED, especially in the EU. The practical implications of the synthetic indicator DP2 for modelling and analysis of SED of the EU countries can be a prospect for further research. Applied aspect of these studies is advising the EU's public policy with the aim of advancing. Using the DP2 synthetic indicator of SED for the EU countries will identify and substantiate the main directions for developing the country's domestic policy to improve the quality of life of the populations. Also, the results of the study can be used for advisory purposes to develop and optimize the EU development strategy 2020-2030. The value and originality of the paper lie in further application of the methodology of modelling the SED of the EU countries through synthetic indicator DP2. This will expand opportunities for increasing the national economy’s efficiency, that is highly important in terms of increased international competition.
The article sets out the substantiations and practical recommendations for assessing the efficiency of industrial enterprises. On the example of assessing the efficiency of business entities of the ...public sector of the economy by type of economic activity in 2021, which is recommended to be calculated on the basis of applying the mathematical method of constructing an integral taxonomic indicator of development, and evaluating the efficiency of business entities of the public sector of the economy in the regional context, the advantages of its implementation technology have been justified. It is noted that in areas where there is a low level of efficiency of business entities in the public sector of the economy, it is necessary to develop programs that would systematically solve the problems of efficiency and its management. To develop these programs, the necessary step is to improve the information support for assessing the efficiency of business entities in the public sector of the economy on the basis of filling a single database of electronic reporting of business entities of the public sector of the economy and summarizing, consolidating relevant reports in accordance with the Procedure for submitting reports and information on fiscal risks to the Ministry of Economy. The assessment is recommended to be methodically implemented according to the following logic of the stages: 1) the formation of information support for the assessment in the form of a system of indicators, which has an official accounting basis; 2) selection of an analytical method for developing an integral indicator; 3) comparison of the achieved levels of values with the planned or regulatory, or reference ones for determining reserves and diagnosing critical situations; 4) determination of the influence of factors of the external and internal environment; 5) development of management measures to ensure the efficiency of activities. In complex socio-economic and political conditions, economic entities must have a sufficient level of economic stability and its reserve for normal life activities. Therefore, the problems of ...assessment and analysis of economic stability and its reserve are urgent and require immediate solution. The purpose of the article was to study the determination of economic sustainability of economic entities, its reserve, substantiation of the logic of the stages of this determination, and the formation of an appropriate analytical tool. In the research process, general scientific and special research methods were used: abstract-logical method, systematic approach, methods of analysis and synthesis, graphic method, method of building an integral taxonomic indicator of development, multi-criteria optimisation, multi-factor regression analysis, genetic algorithm, marginal utility method, cluster analysis. The article presents the selection of a system of economic sustainability indicators for economic entities of the state sector of Ukraine across regions from the point of view of their legislative basis. In order to determine the reserve of economic sustainability of public sector economic entities across the regions, an economic-mathematical model of multi-criteria optimisation of economic sustainability indicators was developed and solved using a genetic algorithm, which is a new analytical support in economics in solving this problem. A new result in economic-mathematical modelling is the method of forming partial criteria in multi-criteria regression dependency optimisation. The article provides a procedure for implementing the marginal utility method for justifying the final single optimal solution of the multi-criteria optimal problem of determining the optimal values of economic sustainability indicators. It has been proven that it is advisable to determine the absolute value of economic sustainability reserve for economic entities in the regions by their clusters, which were obtained on the basis of the system of indicators of economic sustainability and regional gross product per person. The practical significance lies in the fact that such a scientific-methodical approach to determining economic sustainability and its reserve allows for the objective development of management decisions at industrial enterprises to ensure their normal life activities in difficult war and post-war conditions

The use of indicators constitutes internationally an important tool for assessing the progress achieved towards sustainable development. Measuring the sustainability in urban areas – which are crucial engines of local socio-economic development, but at the same time present concentration points of environmental decay – is a major challenge for environmental managers and decision-makers. This paper aims at the development and utilisation of a system of indicators as a dynamic tool for the management of environmental, social and economic information in order to evaluate sustainability in urban areas. In this context, guidelines for the system’s development and use are proposed, together with a suggestion for its communication among local stakeholders. An application of this system is demonstrated through a case study using the Greater Thessaloniki Area, Greece, a domain with considerable socio-economic development, which is also encountering significant environmental pressures.
The paper examines the existing methodological recommendations for assessing risk of financial institutions of non-bank financial services market participants. In particular, the focus is on the ...activities of financial companies, which are the largest non-banking market participants. The purpose of the study is to develop an approach to risk assessment of financial companies. The methodological basis for achieving the goal is a systematic analysis of the existing provisions of the regulator on the criteria for assessing the risk of financial institutions. The paper examines in detail the state of the modern risk assessment system in accordance with the criteria developed by the regulator, identifies key shortcomings of the recommendations and proposes to supplement the existing list of indicators that were taken into account by the previous regulator. An analysis of the legislation on the availability of quantitative indicators for assessing risk of non-banking financial services market participants was carried out, which made it possible to offer an expanded list of criteria for achieving the research goal. The expediency of the proposed system of quantitative indicators for assessing the risks of activity is confirmed by the existing actions of the regulator, which partially coincide with the proposed provisions. The developed recommendations provide an opportunity to improve the risk assessment system both for inspections by supervisors and for financial institutions seeking to strengthen preventive measures for their management.
The relevance of the research topic stems from the necessity methodological tools for evaluating the innovative activity of an organization, taking into account digital transformations that have a ...direct impact on the level of costs, time and intensity of innovative transformations in an organization under contemporary business conditions. The goal of this study was to systematize and comparatively analyze of methodological approaches to the assessment of innovation and digital transformations in an organization. It also aimed at the development of methodological tools for assessing the innovation activity of an organization, taking into account the relationship between innovation and digitalization. To achieve this goal, general scientific methods of theoretical knowledge were used, including statistical and logical analysis and synthesis, comparison, deduction and generalization, technologies of structural and graphical modeling. The paper substantiates the need to evaluate the innovative activity of an organization, taking into account the level of digital transformation. The systematization of methodological approaches to the assessment of innovative activities of the organization has been carried out, and a conclusion has been made regarding the accessibility and objectivity of the information base and the indicator system proposed by the authors. The interrelation of digital transformations of the organization with its innovative activity is characterized. The systematization of models for evaluating digital transformations of an organization has been carried out, leading to the conclusion that the authors do not pay sufficient attention to the issues of interpenetration of innovations and digital transformations. Based on the results of the study, a methodological toolkit for evaluating the innovation activity of an organization, considering digital transformations, was developed. This toolkit is based on the stages of the organization's innovative activity and the relationship between innovation and digital transformations.
